This beautiful Pawleys Island home features an ocean front screened in porch and a private creek dock just steps away from the front door. The main level features a fully equipped kitchen and dining area along with a comfortable living space. In addition to the kitchen and living area, there are two bedrooms featuring one king and one queen that share a recently updated bathroom showcasing a step in shower. Upstairs the second level has five bedrooms and two bathrooms with a large Carolina room overlooking the ocean. Carolina room offers two queen size sleeper sofas and double bed. Bedroom one has two twins w/ a trundle, bedroom two has one queen, bedroom three has one king and bedroom four has a king. Additional amenities include hardwood flooring on the main floor, central H/VAC, mounted flat screen TV in living room, WIFI, washer/dryer, dishwasher, keurig, microwave, ceiling fans throughout the home, two enclosed outside showers with hot/cold water, and a pack n' play in the downstairs master suite closet. The furniture was filthy. Stains and drooping. We covered everything with blankets and had to assemble a new vacuum to sweep the floors. Under the furniture has not been cleaned in a very long time.We were very leery of our bed linens after seeing how not even a spill was ever cleaned on the couch. We were tempted to wash the slipcovers and line up the piping. The owner needs to freshen this place up. Other than that, the location and house were great.

The house was fine for space and location and we plan to return, we had to call to get the sand off the porch and replace burned out bulbs. The cookware needs to be updated as it is no longer nonstick. Having two fridges was great with 4 families. The closeness of the dock was nice. several cabinet doors in the kitchen needed to have the hinges replaced according to maintenance.

Great weather. 2 porch rockers were disabled but one was fixed the day after reported. Some early morning fishermen used the dock to gather bait (or in one instance catch a flounder!) It was not a bother for us but you might consider a "Sandcastle only" sign for the river side parking area before it becomes a popular spot.

We spent 2 weeks inThe Sandcastle beach house and it was wonderful being beach front and having a creak side dock. Both my husband and I would use the porches and the dock for reading, people and bird watching.The house has so many rooms and bathrooms for a lot of people to spread out. Loved the 2nd story beach front room with the table in it. Great place to watch the world go by.

Very good. The house was clean and all equipment was functioning well. I wish the driveway was paved with some type of river gravel. The broken concrete actually cut several feet. Also a full or half bath in the Carolina room would add a nice addition to the layout.

As usual, we had a great time at Sandcastle. Even though one of our family suffered from some kind of intestinal bug for the majority of her stay she said the beach was still the best place to be! The new upgrades were welcome and added to the “return to Sandcastle” call we start experiencing as we pull away to head home!

We stayed at the Sandcastle with three families of 4 and one family of 5 for our cousin reunion. It was great to be right on the beach and also have the creek dock for floating, paddle boarding and crabbing. We have been coming to Pawleys for years and this was our first experience renting with Tidelife. They were pleasant and provided a smooth rental process. The only recommendation that I would make to them would be to get a more thorough cleaning service. When we checked in, sheets were missing from a couple of beds, there was still sand on the floor and we found some trash left behind in a few spots. The Sandcastle is appropriately named as we kidded around that it was hard to keep sand out of the house. There is no concrete under the house (which is unusual), so you're parking and walking on sand. I think this contributes to it being hard to keep the sand out of the main house.From the pictures, I was a bit concerned that there wasn't enough lounging and kitchen space, but this was NOT a problem. It was wonderful to sit at the kitchen table and enjoy the ocean views. We all loved the old wood, classic Pawleys feel of the house. Our two boys loved sleeping on the 2nd floor "sleeping porch", which has two sleeper sofas. The trundle bed set-up in one of the rooms was also nice for families. Regarding the wifi, it's nearly useless. We reset it a number of times each day and suspect it can really only handle 1-2 devices at a time. If you have any need to really be online, you'll need to head to Starbucks or bring your hot spot.We had a great week at the Sandcastle.

The house was good. Living area a little small downstairs. Beautiful view and location! The biggest drawback to the house was that there was no paved area under the house....just loose sand! The house was full of sand no matter how much we swept!!!

Even right after Hurricane Matthew, the house was in excellent shape, clean and ready for us. Sand Castle is perfectly situated on the beach with a crab dock on the creek, so you have the freedom to explore the marsh and the ocean, fishing, crabbing, kayaking, swimming, and on land, biking. It's a great house.Tidelife is the best. They were generous, kind and accommodating despite all the post-storm work. Our stay was delightful thanks to all of their help.

Great pet-friendly holiday get-a-away. Sandcastle was recently renovated. The historic charm was carefully protected and remained pleasingly "yesteryear" while amenities were totally up-to-date. After years of bemoaning beach-rental kitchens as lacking, we found Sandcastle's a cook's dream! The aged pine and updated tile flooring made battling beach sand an easy chore. Although a major storm slammed the lower end of Pawley's hard the week before our arrival and major beach reclamation was a 24/7 process, we quickly adapted and enjoyed watching the progress from the ocean-side screened deck. Having pier access creekside as a useful fishing/photo spot was perfect. Positioned at the end-point of the island, Sandcastle's location presents a photographer's dream spot. Overall, very pleased with our choice of Sandcastle and the support Tidelife Rental folks provided from start to finish.

Beds and pillows need to be replaced!We can deal with everything else. But getting a good nights sleep is essential! Not to mention that people who visit with back issues don’t need to end the vacation in worse shape than they came in! Living room sofa needs replaced as well, worn out!

We had a fantastic time at the Sandcastle. The house had plenty of room for everyone. We loved hanging out on the dock fishing and crabbing. The front porch was also a favorite. It was easy to keep an eye on kids from that vantage point. The house was well stocked with kitchen gear, and we had plenty of towels. Tidelife was prompt and super friendly. We had King tides while we were there and part of the boardwalk under the house washed away leaving some screws sticking out, they came right away and took care of it. We loved all the hardwood floors and granite counter, easy to clean. Great house and great management company!
