Family Stay
Family Stay
This property met our multigenerational group needs. Plenty of space for everyone. Close proximity to shops and a delightful nature reserve. The property needs a fair bit of repair. Broken floor tiles and fronts coming off cupboards. It didn’t stop us enjoying our stay, but it jarred a bit with me.

We were pleased with the house itself but it clearly needs attention from a capable handyman: the outer door of the integrated dishwasher has come off so the heavily sprung door swings shut when you are unloading it. It is a real inconvenience having to stand on one leg holding it open while you unload it. The shower screen in the family bathroom has been removed so it can can only be used for bathing, not showering. The door handles on the downstairs loo are broken - my daughter was locked in when the badly glued handle came off in her hand. And floor tiles cracked in all bathrooms. Although loo paper, kitchen towel and liquid soap were advertised, none of these were available except in the downstairs loo (which had to be used with the door open). Finally, there was only one set of keys, though two were advertised, which was quite inconvenient for a house which can sleep a large number of people. Parking spaces were in very short supply too. Otherwise the house gave us everything we needed for 4 days - comfortable beds and plenty of hot water with enough kitchen equipment for cooking. The owner does not respond to messages or questions unless it is to impose an extra fee for changes which is frustrating and annoying. Please sort out the problems and respond to messages and then it would be a great little house.

The Watercolour House was the perfect place for us to stay to attend a family celebration in Reigate. The space and layout is excellent. We needed a home with four bedrooms and all the bedrooms were a good size. The beds were comfortable and we appreciated the full bathroom and two en-suite shower rooms. There is also a very handy downstairs WC. We used both the TV room and the downstairs living area and the dining table was perfect for family dinners. We were initially a little worried about the availability of parking, but never had an issue for our two cars. Having the Tesco Express just around the corner was really convenient too and we were pleasantly surprised by what we could buy there. We will definitely try to book this property again when we are back in the area.

Lovely well presented clean 4 Bed home from home

We had a lovely stay over the half term. Plenty of space for us all. 4 adults and 3 children. Very close to all amenities such as buses and the train station. Town is only a short 15 minute walk away. We will definitely stay again in the future. Only recommendation is some of the cupboards could do with a little TLC or replacing. Highly recommended.
