About this house rental
Located in South Chatham, this charming house for $400 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Every room in this year-round home has been totally renovated and redesigned just a few years ago. Bayview Cottage features central air conditioning throughout, gleaming hardwood floors in living areas, a newly tiled kitchen with gas stove, stainless appliances w/ dishwasher and microwave, granite counters, breakfast bar, and separate prep area/wine bar with wine cooler. Enjoy the comforts of this tastefully decorated ranch 4/10 mile stroll from Forest Beach, conservation area and near a neighborhood tennis court. On the calendar you will note that during the high Summer Season (June to August, we do a minimum of 7 day/weekly rental. There is also an outdoor shower for after your beach trips. It is a short distance to the inlet to Taylor's pond where there is a landing for fishing, kayaking, or paddle boarding.The village center is just 3 miles for unique shopping, fine dining, large playground, weekly band concerts, the Coast Guard Lighthouse, and the nationally renowned Chatham Anglers NCAA baseball games where MLB scouts search for new talent. We had an incredible stay at Peter and Diane’s home. They were truly amazing - kind, hospitable, and made us feel right at home. The location was absolutely perfect, and the house was ideal for our first vacation with our 1-year-old daughter. It was well-appointed, and we couldn't have asked for a more comfortable and enjoyable stay. We're already looking forward to booking our stay there again next year!

Our summer plans changed twice and we were VERY lucky to have had an opportunity to get an early August booking at this great house due to a cancelation. We were greeted with a basket of goodies and a bottle of wine in the wine fridge on arrival! The house was immaculate and outfitted with everything needed for a week in paradise. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was filled with everything needed. An easy lighting gas grill and a smart TV made it even more comfortable.
I would not hesitate to book again and am somewhat ambivalent writing this review and sharing this little gem with others but wish this lovely couple the best with their rental.

We had a wonderful stay this past week; the house was just as described and everything we had hoped for -- clean, very comfortable, and in a terrific location...within walking distance of a very nice beach, close to downtown Chatham, and in a great spot for exploring other areas of Cape Cod! The hosts, Diane and Peter, were very responsive to any questions we had both before we arrived and during our stay, and very thoughtfully left us a welcome note along with some snacks and a bottle of wine, They live across the street from the property, so we also had the chance to meet them and had a very nice talk with them. I highly recommend this rental and plan to return!

We had an issue and it was resolved immediately as the owners live across the street. Cottage is roomy and has all the amenities. I took off a star because it was a bit dusty and could use a thorough cleaning. It was fine for my friend but I’m a bit of a clean freak. We enjoyed our visit and would rent again.

The property was perfect for our extended stay and we really appreciated the up to date and very well-stocked kitchen. Having a small public beach within walking distance was also very nice and we appreciated having Chatham and Harwichport equally accessible. You have to drive (or bike) into downtown Chatham, but parking was never a problem and it's very walkable once you are there.

We had a excellent time staying here. It was very clean and spacious. It was a great location for what we were looking for. short distance to town and forest beach and Harding beach. My daughter also loved the little library that is on property she would check every day to see if someone took the books she put in.

Excellent beach house for a family!

Do it again in a heartbeat!
Honestly, can't find anything I can complain about here. Everything is as advertised, but what is NOT advertised is the ease of interaction with the owners! They were fantastic. They are very good at the communication aspects of renting, thinking ahead and responding to questions; both before and during our visit. Their home is spacious and comforting. Everyone especially liked the bundle of goodies left on the kitchen counter! (At least, I hope those were for us!) All in our group (not me) enjoy coffee and there is an area set up in the dining room that caters to that particular addiction. Also, their website mentions recent renovations and it is a home that looks like it had just been built! The day of our arrival, we had spent several hours driving through drenching rain and high winds. It was a very uninviting start to our mini vacation. But, once we got there and went inside, all that just faded away. It was nice to get out of the car and get situated in a warm and cozy atmosphere. There were two aspects of our stay on which everyone commented. First, the living room was such a great gathering place for conversation. We were traveling with friends we get to see but once a year and just sitting around catching up was great and THAT was the place to do it! Second, this house was located in an advantageous spot, so it was a relatively short drive to get out to Provincetown/Truro area and was it a quick ride to get to the Hyannis area. Speaking personally, I really appreciated saving a good chunk of money, because there was NO cleaning fee. The people before us were expected to clean and we arrived to a CLEAN house! Hopefully, the people who followed us found the same. We have stayed at many vrbo rentals over the years and this experience was certainly one of the most enjoyable. We highly recommend this rental.

My girlfriends and I enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and well equipped. The owners were very accommodating and helpful. We appreciated the basket of treats we found when we arrived. This is a beautiful, well-equipped, very centrally located vacation home. Everything that our family of four needed was available in the home and/or attached garage...beach chairs were a real bonus, as the weather was spectacular at the end of September!! We loved being so close to the beach and nature preserve. Comfortable beds, and the house has a very nice layout. We loved having two common living spaces, wine/wet bar, and the deck!! Communication with the owners was great, and check in and out was a breeze. House is immaculate, and the attention to detail for guests was greatly appreciated. We highly recommend this vacation rental.

Spacious house, great location!
This was a Girls Getaway so we had room to spread out. Upon arrival a bottle of wine and a Goody Basket were appreciated. The kitchen was well stocked. We loved Chatham !
Plenty of restaurant options. Easy access for day trips.
FYI.... bath soap and Kleenex were not provided. We were expected to clean the house, wash towels and sheets and remake the beds before we checked out.

The house is lovely Very comfortable and clean. Fabulous kitchen with everything you might need Great location and the owners Peter and Diane were always responsive to any questions. They were also very helpful with suggestions for nearby activities and dinning. My family enjoyed a wonderful vacation we would love to spend another vacation there and have raved to all our friends about this fabulous house

Great vacation!
My husband and I traveled with our daughter and her two children, our son and two of his friends. The house was immaculate and provided the space and supplies we needed upon arrival. The owners provided a playpen for our use which came in handy. They also welcomed us with a welcome basket which we thought was very nice. Thinking that I was going to pack everything, my husband forgot to pack his clothes and camera. I called the owner and he boxed and mailed his belongings to us. Highly recommend this rental.
