We booked this beautiful log house for a fishing vacation for our 4 adult children and families. It was just what we needed for the 15 in our party. The place was clean, comfortable and had plenty to do inside and out. We wouldn't hesitate to book again!

One of the best we have experienced

The boat was excellent, the walk to it was steep. The house worked very nicely for our group, but it has a rodent problem.

We loved the cabin and the lake. The cabin was great for our family of 15. The path to the lake posed no problem for children and adults but might prove a challenge for the elderly.

Great place to entertain kids and adults alike. Great pontoon (extra fee). Jake is an easygoing property manager and in no way makes it seem like he’s trying to micromanage your stay. We enjoyed ourselves.

The house was beautiful and very comfortable. Loved the screened in porch. All the comforts of home but in a great setting. Would definitely recommend this place if you are looking to get away. The lake is clean and the water is really clear. Was not ready to come home. Jake, the homeowner, is a super guy and very responsive to texts and calls. Renting from someone like him makes the whole process even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place.

This was a beautiful location with a great cabin that easily handled the needs of 17 people. Jake was just a text away if we had any questions. Would highly recommend and if we have the opportunity, would stay again!!

This cabin/house was perfect for the ten of us although we did find that bunk beds may not be ideal since we’re all over 65. It was clean, GPS took us right to the location, Jake was exceptionally accommodating and the communication was great. Would definitely recommend this vacation home to anyone.

This is the second time my family, friends and I spent a great christmas in this property! Everything was perfect, clean and cozy. Better than in pictures! This is a place we definitely come back as many times as we can.

Our stay at the cabin was fantastic. There were 14 of us and plenty of space for everyone to enjoy themselves. The owner was great to work with and everything was clean and just as described. Would be a great location for any family celebration.

Lake is great for swimming and fishing.

We rented this home for a 4wheeling vacation. There are trails conveniently located right across the highway. The house was beautiful, clean and very well stocked. We loved having three separate sleeping/bathroom areas. Jake was readibly available, helpful and return my calls quickly.Would definitely return to this home!

Lots of misc spaces to enjoy time for larger group. Property owner available for communication if needed.

Cabin was awesome! Water access (as others have said) not the best, though the lake itself is beautiful. 10 minutes from Groceries in Walker. Owner communication was good, though perhaps less than other VRBO's I've been involved with. Check out rules were simple & not overly burdensome. Would stay again.

We stayed 6 nights with 7 adults & 7 kids aged from 2-70s. We have been vacationing on Howard Lake since I can remember. We had a fantastic time! Jake was easy to contact and the log cabin was gorgeous. Plenty of space throughout & so much to do! We spent lots of time in & on sparkling Howard lake. Enjoyed all the paddle boards, canoe, kayak, slide, & floaties! The mosquitoes were rough this year but that is part of being next to so much untouched wild woods. The path down the hill is steep & beautiful but our entire group managed. The fire place was so nice to sip hot cocoa by. The children & adults loved the plentiful games! My only safety concern was the screens in the lovely screen porch. You will need to watch the younger kids by them. Would love to return!

We enjoyed using the paddle boards and canoe, as well as renting the pontoon for one day.

The cabin is beautiful! There are some maintenance Items that need addressed. The trash area needs some work to help make it a little more bear proof. Also the area around the cabin was not maintained for our visit. As said in other reviews the Hill to the Lake is steep and may not be great for older people. However this did not stop us from having a great time in the cabin and on the lake. We rented the pontoon boat for a few days as well. The pontoon is really nice and was big enough for the whole family. The fishing on Howard Lake was not the best so we ended up getting a guide on Leech Lake. Overall we had a blast and would come back again.

We loved our week at this cabin! We had great weather, and loved renting the pontoon for an afternoon on the lake. The water was great for swimming and fishing. The cabin was spacious and fit us all comfortably (9 adults and two infants/toddlers). Would definitely recommend!

Was up for a fishing trip. The cabin was beautiful and well equipped! Parking can be tricky for multiple boats, but doable (we had four rigs). Communication with the owner prior arrival and during our stay was great. Would stay again!
