Visit the Oregon Coast in style with a stay in this classic cottage with easy beach access. Also boasting a sauna in the main bedroom suite, this getaway is sure to please your whole group. You'll love this fantastic location, with the beach, boardwalk, and rolling sand dunes at the end of 7th Street. You're also within walking distance of Gearhart Golf Links and a few miles from more attractions in Seaside. Classic beach style is evident throughout this home, with colorful rugs and a comfortable aesthetic. After a day of golfing or beachcombing, relax in the living room by the river rock wood-burning fireplace. There's a cable TV with a DVD/VCR player, as well as a stereo and WiFi. Or, you may prefer to curl up in front of the fire with a family board game or a book from the library. The full kitchen is light and bright with all the major appliances you'd expect, as well as a coffee grinder, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, and blender. Off the kitchen is the laundry room, which includes a shower and set-tub, in addition to the washer/dryer. A garden hose for rinsing off sandy feet is located outside the kitchen door. The dining table is perfect for fun vacation meals. The lower main level also has a full bathroom with a claw-foot tub. One room has a half bath. Both rooms are wonderfully decorated with colorful bedding, bedside tables, reading lights, and more of that classic beadboard paneling. The remaining two bedrooms are upstairs, including a spacious main suite with a sitting area and a full bathroom with a shower and a sauna. The upstairs guest room has a window seat where you can read in sunlight. Kid-friendly extras include a Pack 'n Play, baby gates, and a children's bike. Outside, there's a great deck for cocktails, quiet reading, or socializing. You'll have a gas grill for casual dining and can relax on the deck while watching everyone play. Or you can spend the afternoon exploring Gearhart's quiet residential streets and strolling the uncrowded beach. Your stand-up paddleboards and kayaks will stay secure in the garage before you head to the beach! The path to the sand begins very near the house at the end of 7th Street. Other walkable attractions include a McMenamins pub, the well-loved Pacific Way Cafe and Bakery, and a neighborhood grocery store. This sleepy coastal town offers peace and quiet and a long, sandy stretch of beach. Spend the afternoon looking for sand dollars washed up on the shore, then return to your charming beach cottage for an evening in front of the fire. A section of Gearhart's beach, accessible from 10th Street, even allows driving on the sand. If you have a hardy vehicle with four-wheel drive, give it a try! Things to Know Check-in time: 4:00 p.m. Check-out time: 10:00 a.m. All guests shall abide by Vacasa’s good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises. If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting "Yes" to pets. No more dogs are allowed. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 21 years of age to book. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation. Loved the house and its many rooms and its historic nature. The location is ideal- in a quiet neighborhood with a trail that goes directly to the beach beginning only 50 yards from the front door.

Location is great! Quieter neighborhood, lots of room and lots of little extras ( beach towels, lots of games, books and colouring books for the kids, the sauna was great, …). Only down side was the cleanliness of the place, we had to spend our first day cleaning. We contacted them right away and the offered the next day.

This was our first stay at this property.
We were impressed and thrilled with this wonderful beach house. It had a well-supplied kitchen and the knives were sharp, which is a first in our renting experience. It was very clean, well-supplied and plenty of kitchen towels, beach towels, bath towels; privacy, quiet and easy access to the beach. The only issue was it is not completely fenced and we had to keep an eye on our dog. We will be booking this again.

Great place, great location and a great customer experience
This is a great little beach house that has the quintessential coastal feel. It sits close to the beach for easy walking access or vehicular access nearby. We had booked through a popular online booking website which had left out some critical details regarding our stay. I thought this may have been a deal breaker for our much needed family beach weekend, but Vacasa addressed our concerns immediately, going above and beyond to make things work out for us. Vintage Gearhart Cottage
This was our first time using Vacasa and we were very pleased with how easy our stay in Gearhart was from start to finish. The Salt Water Cottage was quaint and cozy and perfect for our children and grandchildren. My grandson liked taking his bath in the claw foot tub. Nice deck and backyard. Comfy beds. Good selection of books and games. And best of all, the path to the beach! We would stay there again.

Annual Sister Trip
The house was comfortable and relaxing for me and my four sisters who get together at least once a year.
