Situated in East Gull Lake, this charming cabin for $528 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Newly renovated 4+ Bedroom 3000 sq/ft lakefront cabin perched on top of the western shore of Big Gull Lake. The views from every lakeside room and deck are breathtaking. We will argue the best view on Gull Lake. It's also the perfect location to enjoy Gull Lake and all of the amenities and attractions. -It's less than a 5 minute walk to the Quarterdeck Resort and Dock 77 Restaurant for meals and drinks anytime. Their large beach can also be used if you want a change of scenery. -The 26,000 acre Pillsbury State Forest has miles and miles of trails to explore just down the street. Hiking, biking, horse back riding, and snowmobiling. -Mount Ski Gull is also just a couple minutes away with skiing in the winter and Zip-Line in the summer. If you're a runner, walker or cyclist (like we are) you will be in heaven with all of the options. -There's also world class golf just minutes away. It's rare to be within walking distance of so many amenities on Gull Lake. Our 4+ bedroom waterfront cabin is newly renovated with wide open space both up and down stairs. 2 separate living rooms and 2 masters. Our Gull Cabin is ideal for a big family like ours or a couple families. Big kids or small kids. There are 4 big bedrooms plus a nursery/den and it sleeps 12. -Upstairs. Grand View Room. King Bed -Upstairs. Cragun's Room. 2 Queen Beds -Downstairs. Quarterdeck Room. King Bed+Extra Nursery/Study w/ a Twin Bed/Pack n' Play -Downstairs. Madden's Room. 2 Bunk Beds. XL Twins over Queen Beds -2 Full Bathrooms. 1 full bath on each level Huge open kitchen with lots of counter space and new appliances. Great space to prepare big family meals. Fully stocked and everything you need to prepare gourmet meals. There's seating for everybody and a pool table to pass the time if weather keeps you off the lake. There is a large new dock to swim and fish off. You can also tie your boats up with ease in our boat slip. No lift or tie downs available. The water is shallow for the first 30-40 feet with a nice hard sand bottom and then deepens nicely for watercraft and great fishing. We have deeded access to the Quarterdeck Resort's Boat Launch if you bring a boat (or rent one) and need a convenient place next to the house to launch your watercraft. It also includes access to the Quarterdeck's big beach if you want a change of scenery.

A very comfortable space for our 3 families to gather with lots of ways to have fun and relax together.

Our family enjoyed a return visit. We used every inch of space. The accuracy of listing is detailed well. This visit we had smaller family members with us. The steps to the lake are difficult for small children, elders or if you have knee issues. As mentioned in summary of listing the Quarterdeck beach is easy walking distance and has restaurant /patio dining. If someone could share where the walleyes are....that would be helpful!

House had enough space to fit 2 small families comfortably - enjoyed all the space the home offered. Views were great and location was fantastic. Stairs were a lot but not a deal breaker. Kid friendly home.

We so enjoyed our stay at the Gull Lake Cabin. This cabin has everything you need! We enjoyed cooking most of our dinners during the week. The kitchen is fully stocked. We did bring a few of our favorite kitchen utensils, but that was just so we could use what we were use to. They have both a Keureg and a regular Mr coffee drip coffee maker. Gas grill. We only ate out for a few lunches, just to change things up.
We took advantage of the 2nd refrigerator in the garage as well as the beverage refrigerator in the basement. That was nice as we had several meals packed in our coolers!
We played many card games and other games on the game table in the basement.
We loved the spectacular view of Gull lake from the deck and we ate out on the deck many times.
Beds were super comfortable and accommodating for all our guests.
Lots of options to stop and get a snacks on Gull Lake. Quarterdeck is just a short walk away, but there is Maddens, Craguns, Grandview Lodge as well as Ernie’s and Zorba’s restaurants.
We rented a tri-toon boat from Lake Fun Rentals. Very nice, newer boats. Our adult kids could waterski, wake board and tube behind the boat! We did it all! Will return!

The Cabin on Gull Lake was great, clean with a great kitchen for our family dinners. The beds were very comfortable, at least the ones we used. The owner was very responsive and supported our vacation and questions. Was great to have a dock to tie our ski boat for overnight storage. Overall a great place for a family gathering.

My family stayed at this cabin during the Christmas holiday. It was in a beautiful location right on Gull Lake with fantastic views. The cabin itself was spacious, clean and comfortable. We did encounter one little hiccup. The first night there, xmas eve, we discovered there was no running water, In a bit of a panic, we tried to get in touch with the property manager and the owner's by calling/texting. After several attempts and an hour plus later, we were able to get in touch with the Owners. They were apologetic and quick to direct us to the mechanical room where we were able to flip a switch and turn the water back on. Thankfully, a quick fix to a potential crisis! This particular week had plagued the state with dangerously cold temps and we were told that the water had likely been shut off so as to not freeze the pipes. The owners were very nice and very helpful, even offering up their suggestions for things to do/see in the area. Our only complaint is that we never at any time heard back from their property manager. While we didn't need his help any longer, it was a little disappointing that he never returned our messages regarding the incident. Overall the cabin, was a delight! It had all the comforts of home, was in a great location and was a fantastic place to enjoy our holiday! We would definitely stay again!

-The downstairs was very cold and seemed to not hold the same temp as the upstairs. Not sure how to regulate this, but something to consider if you plan to have large groups, including kids during the winter months

We had an amazing time with family and our two retrievers. Best stocked cabin kitchen we have ever seen! Watched the sunrise every morning and enjoyed fireplaces and game collection. Truly a treasure in the woods.

The view is amazing and the steps to dock were in good shape and the dock as advertised with lovely lake view and no beach. Was an easy walk to the nearby Quarterdeck beach. The inside was a bit smaller than we anticipated but still worked okay. A fun collection of toys for the toddler. The outside deck area and fire area were in shabby condition (could use some paint and loving care) -- but we still enjoyed using them. . We had a good long weekend.

Really nice place plenty of room to spread out. Beds are uncomfortable, there a step down in kitchen to dining room and living space that blends in and a hazard. The steps going down to the lake are steep, slippery and rickety. Fire pit is great.

This was our second year vacationing at this cabin on Gull Lake. Plenty of space for our family...9 adults and 3 kids...with room to spread out for games, reading, puzzles, and relaxing. Spacious kitchen with ample counter space facilitated our family meal time. We also had a blast swimming off the dock which included space for our pontoon. This property has all the amenities of home with a beautiful overlook of Gull Lake. The stairs down to the lake are a bit challenging, but not to the point of being inconvenient. Check in and check out was easy and convenient and Kyle was very easy to communicate with when we were planning our stay. We would highly recommend this property for families and groups looking to get away and spend some quality time together while enjoying the comforts of home.

Beautiful property!
Loved everything about this property; great location, beautiful house with enough room for 5 adults and 5 kids, dock for 2 boats, swimming and fishing at your fingertips and great outside campfire area. Quick response from owner when emailed, manager stopped by to see if we needed anything and gave us some fishing tips... all-in-all great property and would definitely rent again!

Safety is an issue in this home. We went with a nanny, an 11 month old, 2 year old, 74 and 80 year old in-laws, and 13 year old lab. Nice property, but its aging and requires some maintenance. We spent the first few days trying for my 80 year old in-laws to not fall down the 1-step sunken living room step. The baby gates are ESSENTIAL in this home. The safety lock on the sliding doors are ESSENTIAL. We put away many knick knacks and choking hazards and kitchy stuff immediately to prevent damage. Minimal space in the front entry to maneuver with a team coming in and out. We walked our aging pup around the side of the house rather than use the very steep steps. Love that they are pet friendly bc that made our week. We let her go swimming at Quarterdeck in the boat landing. Quarterdeck allowed my kids a space to play outside to get them away from the in-home dangers. The steps down to the lake are a work out. That's fine. The issue is the bottom steps are wobbly and slanted down toward the lake. There is plywood instead of dowels. This is UNACCEPTABLE. None of the bannister spacing seems up to code on the deck, over the stairs, and along the stairs. Please do some maintenance on your stairs. I meant to write this to the owner separately instead of in the review but I don't have a lot of spare time.
The provided towels were scratchy. Bring your own. The provided supplies like TP, paper towels, detergent, soap, salt n pepper were bare bones. No olive oil. Cooking equipment was bare bones. All appliances worked well including the coffee maker. They have a Keurig if you want to bring your own cups. The fire pit had a dismal feel and lacked comfort. My husband is a fire bug. he didn't even want to have a fire. The nursery room was FREEZING 66F when the rest of the house was 72F but it was also dark and quiet so it was very nice to have.
VRBO never sent us the front door lock code or information for check-in and check-out. I had to contact the owner who was prompt and helpful. He had VRBO send again but it was just the check in/out times without the important info. I've never had that happen before.
Nice washer and dryer. Beautiful sandy beach. Beautiful dock with slip to rent a boat. We used Lake Fun Rentals and they were AMAZING. Quarterdeck was nice for sandy beach, lunch, cocktails, a walk, dog swimming without stairs, getting elderly in-laws onto the boat safely. The folks there were so friendly and I believe we made their Facebook page.

Only comment is some of the “basics” could be stocked a bit better; like extra toilet paper, paper towel, soap, etc. we could buy these in town but it was a bummer to have to purchase these all right away. Some additional blankets and towels would also be helpful to accommodate larger groups of people. Even though these few areas could be improved, it was a great place to stay and we would stay again! Recommend this to all.

Great winter get away!
My friends and I rang in the new year at this awesome place! We enjoyed the upstairs with open kitchen and living room and had lots of fun snowmobiling on the trails in the area. Enjoyed our stay very much!

Perfect location for our family to retreat to. My sons wedding was at the Quarterdeck Resort. Description of this property by owner is accurate. The distance of a 1/4 mile is VERY walkable from resort. This home fit ALL our needs to have a quiet place to regroup. The entire process was smooth and seamless. It was greatly appreciated to have access to the garage space with door opener as it was a cool and misty weekend for the wedding. We appreciated the drive in-drive out. Kyle-THANK YOU for keeping the dock in late season for our stay. My boys were able to include time to fish each morning. The home is well appointed. The downstairs improvements were a GREAT surprise. Appreciated the extra wine fridge and brand new hard surface flooring and gas fireplace made the space a fan favorite for playing cards. Kitchen has EVERYTHING needed + extras! Fridge and all appliances are new and updated. IF ----and only IF I could come up with one thing to improve our stay it would only be a VERY minor issue with the pot coffee maker. Mind you there are 2! The Kerig was great--the brew pot takes over :45 minutes to fill one pot. LOL--my people are in need of fast coffee in the morning. The Kerig got it done. And maybe a couple of throw blankets for getting cozy on the sofa. I HIGHLY recommend this property. We will definitely be back to the Rooney's. Thank you for sharing your wonderful lake home with my family on a very special weekend! 5 stars! 100% happy with our stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house had everything we needed. We loved the separate living areas, up and down, and the views of the lake. We did have to deal with some bees but with the help of the local hardware store, we made our own traps and were then able to enjoy the deck area. We had a great stay at this property. Worked great for 6 adults an infant and 2 dogs. Lots of space. Deck was a great gathering space and kitchen was well stocked. The steps to the dock were a challenge! But we loved the dock area. We rented a boat from Ken at Lake Front Rentals and had a great experience. Gull Lake is awesome to explore. The house could use a deep clean, but I realize it’s late in the season.
