This cottage was perfect for our little family of 2 pets and 3 adults.A cosy place with central heating a great shower and very comfortable beds, it felt like a home away from home.We loved how we could be out all day and come back to a comfy couch and tv when we had no plans. The garden is paved with planter boxes and was very easy to clean up after pets. It was a lovely backyard, even in the rain as the covered area had seats and it felt like a but of a rainforest in the rain. We loved it and hope to return in the future.

The house is impressively kitted out with high quality utensils, dinnerware, furniture. Aircon was welcome. Location and neighbourhood spot on. An ideal Adelaide bolthole and obviously much loved by its owner. However, there was a glaring fault in the vacuuming of the second bedroom carpet. There were several hundred 3-5 cm light-coloured dog hairs on my clothes and slippers, suggesting a very cursory cleaning routine, perhaps done under low light or with a machine lacking the power to collect the hairs efficiently.

Craig and Andy have thought of absolutely anything to make your stay amazing! The cottage is well stocked and full of charm. The house is beautiful and in a superb location. Despite being in the heart of the city, was generally pretty quiet. The courtyard is like a little private oasis. Having its own carpark is a luxury not common in the CBD, although it is a little tight if you have a bigger car. Thanks for a fabulous stay!
Wonderful location, comfortable cottage with modern luxuries, spacious courtyard, well-equipped kitchen, and friendly hosts. Highly recommended for a delightful stay!

Great host!Very well-equipped home.I can sincerely say that all what was depending by our host, after our arrival, was done. The cleaner they had, could've done much better, bathroom in particular could've been better cleaned (dust on walls and others things I will not name), yard was looking very uninviting, but we cleaned up a bit, and I can confirm it's a great yard (when cleaned), near the kitchen sink cleaner left a used (clearly not clean) dish cloth likely for me to use for dishes, instead of a new one, as in other places (it's not even 50 cents! I went and purchased a pack!), left only 3 toilet papers for 3 persons, for 7 days and the list could go on & on, small things but they add up.Parking is probably our main issue with this property, main picture shows a 4x4 car parked, the picture is misleading; to park a regular 5 seats Captiva there, without scratching it, it's a challenge not many people can take and be successful. The host was nice, paid few days for us in a nearby car-park - unfortunately we decided not to park there, the doors were all open and homeless were literally camping there drinking spirits alcohol...Overall I can say the pictures on the website are very old, trees are all gown since the pictures were taken, bathroom must've had a bit of a renovation at some point, as the shower frame is now a different color etc., but none of those would count if the cleaning would've been done right and the parking would've not been such a miss.
This charming cottage is nestled in the southwestern quadrant of the CBD. It’s only a few minutes walk to the vibrancy of the Central Market, Gouger Street and Chinatown. An unexpected highlight of this property is the basalt-paved backyard featuring a majestic gum tree, and an organically grown kitchen garden which guests are encouraged to use. The living & dining area flow into the rear through large wooden sliding doors allowing for the best of both worlds. You can relax inside on the couch, or outside sit under cover or soak up the atmosphere in the shade of the gum tree. You have a choice of dining inside or using the large outdoor teak table and Weber Q which easily allow you to host a lunch or dinner. A large screen plasma TV and Music System with iPod dock is there for your entertainment or to assist you unwind. We provide complimentary Internet ADSL-2 Wi-Fi for our guests. The cottage has two bedrooms, one with pillow-top queen bed and the second with a queen shaker style bed. Professionally laundered linen is supplied. Children are welcomed and little ones under five although provided for, can stay for free. We have a port-a-cot and high chair which can be provided upon request. The cosy bedrooms are carpeted with rustic pure wool and include hanging robes, and extra storage. The fully equipped kitchen is a cooks delight with the warmth of beech bench tops and natural light, and stainless appliances, including dishwasher, microwave, and commercial grade cooker. Basic pantry items are supplied (Olive oil, Salt & Pepper, Red wine vinegar.) The traditional bathroom while compact incorporates a shower, basin and toilet. The laundry is inclusive of washing machine and tub. The property has reverse cycle ducted air conditioning. There is a carport to offer off street parking with lockable side entry for ease and security. The carport is narrow and requires reverse parking, however, for those with larger vehicles there is a 24 hour carpark 2 minutes away. We are happy to receive enquiries regarding travelling pets. We will consider these on a case by case basis. The Market Cottage is superbly located, just a stone's throw from the cosmopolitan Gouger St precinct which has a fabulous array of cafes, restaurants, takeaway, bars and entertainment options, including Her Majesty's Theatre. Even closer is Cantina Sociale and the earthy Café Troppo, where you can grab your morning coffee and eggs. If you choose to cook during your stay, your options are plentiful, including the Central Market, supermarkets, organic food stores, and many other specialty food shops, all within a short walk. Beyond the Gouger precinct, Adelaide's East End Rundle Street, National Wine Centre, Botanic Gardens, Adelaide Zoo, Art Gallery, Museum, Adelaide Oval, Royal Adelaide Hospital and University are all a walkable distance. There are also free public transport options with stops nearby. We cater for Adelaide's festival lovers including those attending The Fringe, The Adelaide Festival, Womad, The Tour Down Under, V8 Supercars street circuit, and the International Horse Trials. It is centrally situated for day trips to South Australia's famous wine regions including Barossa, McLaren Vale, Adelaide Hills and Clare Valley. All the facilities you will require during your stay including major banks, post office and choice of public transport are on your doorstep.
