Located in Old Saybrook, this attractive cottage for $170 per night is a great choice for your next break. Charming, one bedroom cottage is located on historic Saybrook Point where the Connecticut River meets Long Island Sound. This fully furnished, very comfortable house with rustic yet refined decor features one bedroom, one bath, living room, and a fully-equipped eat-in kitchen. It also has SmartTV, Wifi, and air conditioning. We provide linens and towels for you! At the Saybrook Point Cottage, we are the business of hospitality. In addition to our strict housekeeping protocols, we also offer Contactless Check In/Check Out. Rest assured that we are doing everything, and then some, to ensure the health and safety of all our guests and to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible! Situated on a quiet street that ends at Saybrook's South Cove, there are sliding glass doors that open onto a beautifully landscaped, private park-like lawn. There is no swimming in South Cove, so it's just a five minute drive to the sandy Town Beach. The bright and airy guest house is ideal for singles or couples looking for relaxation and adventures. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: TWO PERSONS. PET FRIENDLY- Bring your pets!! Please note the property is not fenced in. Sometimes you need a quick change of scenery to break the cycle! Located less than a two hour drive from mid-town Manhattan and Boston, there is also an Amtrak stop in town. Walk to the water or into the village. Enjoy the views from the deck or barbeque with the gas grill. The area is perfect for long walks, bicycling, scenic drives, canoeing, kayaking, antiquing, and more. 30 minutes to Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods 20 minutes to Mystic Seaport and Aquarium 15 minutes to the Goodspeed Opera House and Outlet Malls One-quarter mile to the Saybrook Point Spa and Fitness Center Available year round. We were supposed to stay 3 nights but due to a pet's illness were only able to stay 1 night. Al was gracious enough to allow us a late checkout on our last day. The cottage is cute and cozy and had everything we needed. Location is wonderful. Might consider staying again.

The cottage was cozy and had all the comforts of home. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was perfect for cooking meals. The grill on the deck was nice for a couple nice steaks and the outdoor seating was great. Al was an excellent host. He made sure we had everything we needed for our stay and even provided us recommendations of local establishments.

The cottage was perfect size for the two of us. Very comfortable bed too! My Aunt and I had a great stay!! We lucked out with the weather, had a great shopping experience in Mystic. We ate at some great restaurants in Old Saybrook as well. Definitely would love to return!

Al is a joy and an easy to reach host. The neighborhood is lovely, wonderfully quiet, and convenient to many beaches and dining options. Food Works, an adorable and very well stocked health food store is minutes away. Ecellent restaurants with food on the heathy side are close by. I loved discovering Tea Kettle for delicious, organic breakfast and lunch. Dinner at Water’s Edge, overlooking the Sound, is yummy and has great views. The cottage is well cleaned and comfortable. Importantly, the cleaners clean well without the use of toxic cleaning supplies. Bed and sofa are comfortable for lazying about. The outdoor patio is a great spot for dining al fresco. Al is delightful, considerate, and prompt with communications. It's a perfect spot a solo trip, particularly for a traveler who prefers healthy environments and food.

My husband and I were looking for a quiet getaway for our anniversary and this was perfect for us (and our dog!). The cottage was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Such a peaceful setting, with a beautiful. private patio. We both loved it and hope to come back soon.!

We found our stay to be private and centrally located. Close to town and for walking in the area. The patio is a great addition to have at VRBO. We would definitely book this again. loved our weekend even though the weather was not great!

This rental is exactly as you see in the photos. Clean and cozy. Extremely well designed to make the most of small areas. We did not feel crowded and were very comfortable. The property is very private, in a quiet and beautiful area, yet an easy walk to a nice park and the water. We had two puppies with us and the cottage is very dog friendly. The owner was wonderful… friendly, easy to communicate with, and accommodating. I’d go back.

This quaint cottage was PERFECT! It has SO much character and was the most majestic little getaway. The area was warm, welcoming and beautiful. Al was so helpful accommodating me on my booking at the last minute and greeting me once I arrived. I not only recommend this little gem, I can't wait to go back!!!

The cottage was so quaint and comfortable. Perfect size for 2 people and pets are accepted. Close proximity to all that Connecticut new England brings. Beautiful walks and jogs from the property to enjoy the river and sound!! Would stay again!!

It was the perfect getaway cottage - cozy, clean and located near everything. Amazing 9 hole golf course right over the causeway, more restaurant, shop and roadside lunch spots than you could visit in a week and a peaceful backyard outdoor setting that was just what the doctor ordered. Our black lab was over the moon with all the walks and the backyard to romp in.

Enjoyed Old Saybrook and being on my first vacation with my sister, but this cottage does not live up to its potential. Place was so small, especially the bathroom, and was cluttered with furniture in poor condition. It was not ‘shabby chic’ and was disappointing to me at this price. I must admit, however, that the exterior was lovely, including a peaceful deck for morning coffee, The owner was charming and helpful. The location is quiet and peaceful. .

We loved Al's cottage! It was clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated, and well stocked with kitchen items. We particularly enjoyed having drinks on the patio while admiring all the spring flowers and trees. Al was an enthusiastic and responsive host. We definitely hope to return in the future when we visit family in the area.

Quaint cottage in quiet neighborhood- was as described in the listing. Probably perfect for warm weather - we were there for the blizzard of 2022. The path and driveway were shoveled promptly. The only improvement (and these are minor) might be parking closer to the cottage or a paved path to it. We’ll definitely be back!
