Located in Alexandria, this attractive house for $600 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Graystone Lodge is an updated cozy luxury home with almost 4,000 sq. ft. 6 bedrooms, 3 baths and walkout ranch located 4 miles from downtown Alexandria, Minnesota. This home sleeps 15 in six bedrooms and family room: 3 queen beds, 1 king bed, 2 bedrooms with twin beds (1 with an extra trundle), a king sleeper sofa, a full-size crib and a portable crib. Graystone Lodge sits on beautiful Lake Latoka, a deep, clearwater lake good for fishing and water recreation. Has two public access docks and a swimming beach located on the north side (lifeguard staff present at this location). The lake bottom is sandy, clear and shallow in front of the home. Easy access down three stairs off the dock. Perfect for swimming, playing and water toys. Rental includes a 22 ft+ pontoon. Available from fishing opener to on or near October 1st. Graystone Lodge has large patio doors opening to a large, furnished covered deck and also to a cozy open deck. The main/upper level of this lakefront home features the kitchen and dining area, large living room, 5 bedrooms and two bathrooms. Throughout the main level, the floors are wood and tile with area rugs with most bedrooms carpeted. The living and dining areas are open and accessible with large dining table that seats 10 people and 2 at the kitchen island. The walkout level has ceramic tiled floors and features a family room, 1 bedroom, a bathroom with tub, and a laundry room. The family room features a gas fireplace, television, kitchenette with a second full-sized refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher and includes a king sleeper sofa and other furniture. Patio doors lead to a lakeside patio and the lake. Outside you’ll find patios or decks lakeside, by the playground, by the grill or on the balcony with plentiful outdoor furniture, a Rainbow Play System, and a fire pit. You’ll have plenty of spaces to take your morning coffee and enjoy watching the sunrise or waterfowl skimming over the Lake Latoka, a 763 acre lake with a mean depth of 35ft and a max dept of 108 feet. It is a great fishing and swimming lake. Fish for Northerns, Crappies, Rock Bass, and Walleyes from the docks or on board the pontoon (included in rental fees) for a lake excursion. Lics #1852 - Douglas County VRBO ordinance limits overnight capacity is 12 people ages 6 and up with children 5 and under not included in the total for all VRBO properties. Not more than 12 additional daytime guests are permitted by Douglas County VRBO requirements. Owner may have additional requirements. Parking is limited to 8 cars with no street parking. We had a large group of teachers getting away for a weekend over MEA. The house was beautiful and worked great for our weekend away. The lake the house is situated on is beautiful, and it would be a great spot for a summer at the lake.
The beds were comfortable and the house was very clean. The double kitchens came in handy for our large group meals. The back yard overlooking the lake was amazing and perfect for yard games!

Our family, 10 of us ranging in age from 2 to 71, had a wonderful time at Lake shore cottage! It is a beautiful home, with a lot of room to spread out. Having two large tables, one off the kitchen and one on the lower level, was great for us. We used one for meals and one for a craft table. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you could need for cooking for a large group. The extra stove and fridge in the lower level came in handy too. The highlight for the kids was the playground equipment and the pontoon. It was wonderful to have the boat included! Wonderful memories!

We had an absolutely delightful time at Graystone Lodge. The property itself is spacious, well-maintained and stocked with modern appliances, games, and toys. We particularly enjoyed swimming off of the dock and in deeper waters off of the pontoon. Our hosts were friendly and organized. I highly recommend this property to anyone staying in the Alexandria area.

Our family rented this home for a summer lake gathering. We had 8 adults & 7 young children. It accommodated all of us comfortably. The play set, beautiful yard, ping-pong table and swimming off the dock kept the kids busy outside most of the day. The outdoor spaces (covered deck, patio, bonfire patio) allowed for great places to gather in all weather conditions. The lot was private and the minimal interaction we had with neighbors was friendly. The lake was very clean & clear. The pontoon was a great addition to the weekend.
I can’t say enough about how well organized the hosts were. Great communication. Very prompt in responding ahead of our stay and upon arrival.
I would highly recommend this location and we would visit again!

The location and home are beautiful. The playground area was a hit with our 7 grandchildren and got plenty of use. My grandson was super excited the first day we arrived when he caught a nice bass right off the dock. The lake has a variety of fish including a 28" & 25" walleye that were caught & released (pictures taken : ) while enjoying some night fishing. The owners are easy to work with and quick to respond. We had a great week and highly recommend this home for a family getaway.

We really enjoyed our stay at this lake home. The home had so much more than we were expecting like a kitchen with just about any gadget you could need and toys/games for the kids. We loved having the pontoon for taking boat rides and the water in front of the cabin was shallow for the kids to swim. While there is no sand for building sand castles at the property, the public beach is a few minutes away. The home is located just minutes from the heart of Alexandria, so is close to shopping and activities. We liked having 2 living rooms so there was plenty of space to spread out and we cherished our dinners on the covered porch overlooking the lake. The owners/staff were very pleasant to work with and responsive.

The house was perfect and so spacious for our girls weekend. It had everything we needed and more in the kitchen for cooking and entertaining. The bedrooms were comfortable and stocked with extra blankets and pillows. The yard had lots of space for games and hanging out. Our favorite feature was the huge deck that overlooked the lake with stunning views at night. Our hosts were very attentive at responding to questions and made the check in and out process so easy. It's also in a perfect location - not too far from the city and close to several activities in Alexandria. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

This place is perfectly situated on the lake with just enough privacy and beautiful views. Far more spacious and nicer than even in the pictures. Perfect for a cozy intimate gathering with lots of space to spread out inside and outside. Owners were responsive and helpful although we didn't need them for much since everything we needed was there. Would definitely book again!

We are a group of six professional women from around the country that gather yearly to relax, catch up and support each other, cook together, ( enjoy adult beverages).
We were looking for six bedrooms, property on the water, spacious and well equipped kitchen and within 3 hours of the airport. This property checked off the boxes. We love to cook together and filled coolers before arriving . We never got into our vehicles in our Wed to Sunday trip.
The pontoon was a bonus, and we enjoyed leisurely trips around the lake, wind permitting . The weather was warm enough for a few of us to hop in for a swim.
We enjoyed the covered porch and having a fire as well.
The property owners were quickly responsive.
Things other renters might want to know which may or may not be important to you : the property is very close to I 94 and within ear shot of traffic. Some of the beds were less comfortable than others, impacting light sleepers which we admittedly are .
All in all we had an amazing time and are considering this property or another by these owners next year .

We had the pleasure of renting this property over this past weekend during the Carlos Creek Grape Stomp. It was absolutely nothing less than fantastic! The accommodations were spot on with the pictures and in my opinion were even better in person. The owners were absolutely fantastic with regards to communication and seemed genuinely happy to have us in their home. We plan to return soon to enjoy this incredible space!

Easy to find, great location, and clean
The property was well maintained and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels in the bathrooms. We had nice weather and played ping pong outside under the covered deck, the upper level had ceiling fans which was nice for some air movement. If we're ever in need of a house this size in the area again we will definitely be coming back!

Fabulous big rental!
This property was amazing! There was ample living area for everyone to come together but also spread out and have some quiet time. The pictures are exactly what it looked like. The deck overlooking the lake has a lot of furniture to eat outside, as well as a table for 10 inside. The lake water was super clear/clean and the area off the dock was sandy. It was a great place to swim (no big drop offs in depth). The pontoon boat is really nice as well. We had a couple minor things pop up and the owners were super quick to respond. The kitchen had tons of dishes for our group of 12 and we especially loved that there was a full sized refrigerator in the basement as well as the main kitchen, plus 2 laundry rooms. It is really close to the freeway so there is some background noise on busy days but it didn't really bother us.

This place was a wonderful choice for us. Plenty of room. Fully equipped kitchen. Lots of entertainment options. We really liked we had everything we needed to just stay there and relax. Would highly recommend this place.
