Whats not to like? The sand beach is right out the door and the beach goes out what seems like forever. A great home base to explore out of. Hiking at Mayflower Bocawina National Park to the waterfalls is not to be missed. Had a manatee surface kayaking the mangroves just to the north. A well appointed kitchen and great resturants nearby (dont miss Ella's and Maxim and Luba Laruga). A most responsive host for sure! All in all a wonderful stay!

The house has an extensive kitchen. I could not think of one utensil or cooking item that was not provided. There’s a new fridge. It has ice! Air conditioning works throughout the house. The place we stayed after this only had it in the bedrooms and boy, did we notice what a difference that made. We stayed in both houses in November (towards the end of the month) and it was still warm enough that having AC was beneficial. The screened in porch was our favorite spot to hang out. There are two hammocks and some chairs there as well as a table. The clothesline was super helpful with all our suits and towels. The porch is L-shaped and having that outdoor space became even handier, because as nice as the beachfront was downstairs, there were sand fleas biting if we sat in the chairs close to the water. It was too uncomfortable to sit on the beach. That is not the fault of the house! There were also pretty bad sand fleas in San Pedro when we were up there diving.So if anything, choosing this house because there’s a screened in porch is all the more advantageous. The washer and dryer works great. The bathrooms are a little small, but I didn’t go on vacation to spend time in a bathroom. Everything was clean and modern. Beds are comfortable each room had a big closet. There is plenty of seating throughout the house. Just know that the house is on a section of unpaved road. I can’t remember how long it was between Hopkins & the house, certainly less than half a mile. Great stay!

This is exactly what our family of 4 (2 adults, 18 and 16 year olds) were needing. We stayed 6 nights and it was perfect (though my wife says another 2 nights would have been better). We used the beachhouse as our hub for day trips. You can make a day trip to Caracol (Mayan ruins) if you leave early enough (we left at 5am) and visit the Rio On Pools, Big Rock Waterfalls and then do a cacao tour at Lamanai Chocolate Company on the way back. It will be a long day, but we looked forward to our private beach on way back (and frozen pizza). A good stopping point for street vendor food would be Uno Gas Station near the Western/Hummingbird Hwy intersection. We shopped at the Fe We Mart in Hopkins for house food, but if you are looking for more variety and "Walmart" stuff, you can drive 1 hour to Dangriga and stop at Family City Import There were only three slight dings to our accomadations. 1) The closet safe had its battery die on us while we were there. Thank goodness it was midtrip and not at the end of our trip since we kept our passports locked. Mirko took care of it by providing the override key. 2) It was advertised that a fresh fruit basket and some drinks would be provided upon arrival. Neither were there. 3) Driving instructions from airport called using Hummingbird Hwy. Wish we listened instead to our AVIS agent who had suggested using the Coastal Hwy which shortens the trip by an hour. We took Costal on way back w/o issue. Even with these hiccups, still rate 5 stars

We had a great stay- the house was very clean, and everything we needed was provided. Hopkins is a great home base for a trip to Belize!

We loved our time at this house. The house was well stocked with everything you need. Property manager promptly took care of the AC, helped with organising excursions and recommending places to eat. The beach was raked every other day. It was wonderful to wake up and sit on the beach to watch the sunrise. We would certainly stay here again

The place is great! Lots of towels and everything you need for a great stay. The covered porch with hammocks is a sweet spot. My advice is for the manager to update the property photo. We arrived after dark and since the paint color doesn’t match the photo we were a bit lost finding it. No answer from the phone number listed but we figured it out eventually. Also check that water is available. There was none when we arrived and we just made it to the store in time. I suspect it was a one time oversight though as everything else was well stocked. The house is close to the Marina which has a very view nice bar and restaurant. We would stay again.
