About this house rental
Nestled in Raystown Lake, this charming house for $235 per night is a great option for your next trip. This beautiful, quiet property is adjacent to the Raystown Lake Federal Lands* and in between the Marina and Resort areas. We constantly try to improve the property, and in 2018 we extended the all-seasons room to the deck, making a large outdoor deck area! We added a fire pit and a new, larger, hot tub! Stroll down a private (no homes front the land), quiet country lane to a quiet entrance to the lake. You can hear the birds singing and the fish leaping out of the water! This is a great place for kayaking, fishing, or playing in the water. (We can rent up to 4 kayaks upon request, in cooperation with another owner, so we must charge an additional fee. You must transport to the water.) The lakeside is also a perfect place for a private picnic or to gaze at the midnight moon! Want a bit more privacy for sleeping, or an outdoor kitchen? We have a 2022 NuCamp Tag-XL 6 wide for an additional $100/night (It generally rents for $140/night on Outdoorsey.). We will place it in the front lawn so it is easily accessible from the front door and ready to go. It has an outdoor kitchen and queen bed with a stargazer window and smart tv on the inside. (See pictures.). This requires a separate payment, as I can't add it as an amenity on VRBO, sorry. Pets are not permitted in the unit. This is subject to availability as it is listed on other sites. Just one mile down the road is the Aitch boat launch and fishing pier. A wonderful view of the tree-covered mountains surrounds you. Public guided boat tours are available at the Marina and Resort areas. You will truly enjoy the smart HD TV in the living room, the regulation-sized (7') AMF pool table, and the 6-person hot tub. The master bedroom on the main floor has a queen bed and a large master bath w/ oversized Jacuzzi (non-jetted) tub, separate shower, walk-in closet, and Kohler fixtures. This master bedroom has a sliding glass door onto the deck with a beautiful view of the federal lands and the neighbor's pond where you can frequently find a blue heron looking for fish. (We do not have a direct view of the lake, very few lake properties do, which keeps the lake experience from the water pristine - no private docks are permitted on the federal land surrounding the lake.) The main floor has a dining room & living room w/ gas fireplace. The modern kitchen has every convenience you need including an island w/ a Jenn-Air grill & gas range unit, a side-by-side refrigerator, built-in microwave, built-in oven, dishwasher, & garbage disposal. We also supply a drip coffee maker, rice cooker, crock-pot, and other kitchen small appliances. The laundry room and a half bath are also on the main floor. Grocery delivery is offered locally by instacart: https://www.instacart.com/grocery-delivery/pa/near-me-in-huntingdon-pa. (Zip is 16657.) The second-floor loft contains two queen size beds and overlooks the kitchen and pool table room. There is a separate floor AC unit, ceiling fan, and floor fan in the loft to keep the air circulating. It has a full-size bathroom with a large standup shower. There is a screened-in 3 seasons room w/ glass sliding-door entrances from the kitchen, the pool table room, and the master bedroom. It is absolutely lovely out there, and you have a nice view of the pond, which frequently boasts of bird activity. You will hear the birds singing all day, and you will frequently be able to watch the barn swallows careen just above the grass while they feed. This home has a heat pump, central air, ceiling fans, skylights & nice attached 26’ x 26' garage. Please note that the pipeline that was installed recently that runs under the lake also went through our property and severely damaged our landscaping, and the emerald ash borer damaged our trees. We are working to replace all, but it will take a few years as I will NOT use herbicides on the property for your safety! Our rental agreement can be downloaded from this listing. Husband and I stayed here for the weekend. House is as described and very clean! Had everything we needed including towels and linens! Enjoyed the pool table and hot tub! Was a great place for our getaway!

Loved this home. We rented it to spend the weekend with our daughter who is attending college nearby. Unfortunately, the weather was not very cooperative as it was a cool, rainy, and windy October weekend. But the home had everything we needed and was both cozy and roomy. Beds were comfortable, and it was a nice surprise that our stay also included linens and towels. We had many fun rounds of pool, board games, and movies. We even baked cookies in the kitchen, used the blacktop grill, and roasted marshmallows over the fire pit. Despite the dreary weather, we still got to use the hot tub on the covered porch. Thank you so much, and we look forward to visiting again soon.

Place was perfect the pictures do not do it justice will definitely be booking again! Jaccuzi was amazing and peaceful despite the rainy weekend. There much much in the area to enjoy too great food restaurants perfect for romantic get away! My dog didn’t even want to leave when it was time to come home he enjoyed as well!

Great place to stay! We noticed some minor things needing done ( ex: lightbulbs burnt out needing changed, empty gas tank on fire pit), but we contacted the owner and they responded immediately, even offered to come over if needed.

The property is just as described except for the screened in porch. But you can tell they are working on it and we just put some citronella candles up which worked perfectly! The boys loved the pool table and the large loft area . They didn’t even fight! The hot tub was so nice and we are looking forward to our return trip in October. The host was extremely quick with responses to our questions and the fishing was exceptionally good at the spillway. Returning in the fall and looking forward to it!

The home was beautiful, clean, warm and inviting. Exactly as described. Faith was awesome with communication and very accommodatable. The laughter we shared was sacred to my sister's and I. Pool table was a highlight. Highly recommend.

We all enjoyed the house from the pool table and hot tub to the "glamper"! Lost power for a few hours overnight after a large storm hit the area, owners were helpful in finding out power restoration. All in all a great week for everyone!

Had a good stay at Rolling Hills. Was disappointed that the house didn't overlook water, and to get to beach had to drive a good bit. House was not well designed. Bed in main room was too small or I was too large??? Plumbing and shower left a lot to be desired. Seat on toilet in master bath was broke when we got there. Fixed it several times but kept coming apart when used. WiFi information was incorrect, but we figured out how to use it. House was very quite, lots of wildlife to view. Overall I would rate it as a Good Week but not a Great Week. Would have enjoyed it more in Spring or Fall.

Perfect place for a weekend away with friends to have fun and take the boat out on the lake. Great communication with the owners and great property with pool table and hot tub for even more fun after the lake days.

The pool table and the hot tub were fantastic also the kitchen area was well kept. The only real issue we had was the Wi-Fi but that can be that way when you're in the middle of nowhere kinda. We had some problems running the dishwasher at the end of the trip, it didn't clean anything the first cycle through. So we ran it again on our way out. Hopefully it got clean this time around...

The house was just as listed. Not far from lake. Beautiful home, hot tub and pool table were big hit with my kids. Well equipped kitchen, spacious and clean. My only concern was fireplace in living room smelled of gas, even though we never turned it on. Overall great getaway and would definitely stay here again!! 5 stars!!!

We had a lovely stay here with our dogs. Close to everything with private setting right off one of the main roads. We loved the pool table and hot tub on chilly nights. We couldn't figure out how to work the indoor fireplace but we didnt need it because we had the outdoor one instead that kept us toasty on the screen porch! Our dogs enjoyed the open yard in the back. Thank you for having us

We had a wonderful relaxing time at this vacation property. It has everything you need in a fully stocked kitchen. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable ( a big plus), and the space was very welcoming! Our favorite spots were the screened in porch with fire pit and the hot tub. We didn’t want to leave and hope to rent here again!

Located within a 15 minute walk to a cove of the lake (not a boat launch site). Appreciated the full kitchen, pool table, and hot tub. Landscaping is somewhat different than advertised. Probably due to growth of plants and trees, so backyard view is limited.

Lake Week
This house was beautiful and only about 1 mile from a boat dock. This made it very easy to get our boat on the lake every day. My family loved the house and my dogs loved the backyard! I would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay. Tons of lady bugs and few stink bugs but they were really not much of a bother its just part of being in the country! We really enjoyed having the pool table and the owner was very responsive to any questions.
