About this apartment rental
This is a beach view condo with easy access to many adventures. This secluded condo complex offers panoramic views of the gulf, sand dunes and pass from the balcony. It is a short walk to calm water beaches, the gulf, and Norriego Point. You are able to walk to favorite fishing spots off of the jetties and snorkel in East Pass. The nearest public beach access is O'Steen Beach Access off Gulf Shore Drive on Holiday Isle. This condo has 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths with sleeper sofa, laundry and full kitchen.
There is a wonderful view of Destin fireworks from the deck or beach. The unit has wireless internet, a 2-car tandem garage with beach chairs, umbrellas, beach toys, boogie boards and 2 bikes for your use. Our garage door has a standard single car garage opening (H-77" x W-93"). Our unit is on over the garage so there is a flight of steps.
Our unit is close to Target, Winn Dixie, The Track, Big Kahuna Water Park, Another Broken Egg Cafe, Indian Bayou Golf Club, spas, The Back Porch Seafood & Oyster House (our favorite restaurant), Henderson Beach State Park, Destin Commons and Destin Harbor Walk where you can enjoy the night life, watch the fishing boats come in with their catch, and rent jet skis or boats for your pleasure.
We are in walking distance ( 5-7 minutes ) to the bay across the sand dunes where there is a calm beach and the snorkeling boats take their guest. It’s the same amount of time if you walk to the Ol’Steen Beach pathway. From our condo it takes approximately 15 minutes to walk down the jetty and arrive to the gulf where the waves are.

We got to Florida a little early and asked about early check in- sent messages and called. No answer until 4 hours later. We got to the condo at our regular time and were given instructions for the "key" in a lockbox. Open the lockbox, no key. The door locks are coded now. Not a huge deal but the instructions were incorrect and we thought we didn't have a key to get in. The code in the message from the owner was one code, then you scroll down and it's a different code. Super confusing and not clear at all. The listing says "walk to the beach steps from the condo." Well that's not accurate anymore. Whoever bought the property has put a fence up behind the entire area. We had to walk 2 blocks for beach access. Again, fine for walking, but this is not what the property claimed we would be getting. The property was fine. Very dated inside, the coach had cushions under the cushions for support since it had clearly seen better days. We got 2 small trash bags for the entire week we were there for a family of 5. We ended up getting our own. We had a great time, just maybe a littl misled by the description and instructions given by the owner.

The condo was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Liked having a garage to park the car in I drive a Honda HRV and I had to maneuver very carefully but fit inside just fine. I liked having access to beach chairs and floats. The public beach was a couple blocks walk and the nearby condo that sets up their beach chairs and umbrellas basically told us we had to go all the way down to the other end of the beach because that was where the public beach started however I didn’t think that sounded right. We did what they asked anyway. If you go early in the morning before they set up or late afternoon once they remove everything it’s a much better beach experience. Lots of boats pull up to allow people to get off for a while. The water is absolutely wonderful and clear and changes colors throughout the day. Water was cool and the sand was so soft just loved it. There was an issue communication and information between the host and Vrbo, they got a new keyless entry instead of keys in the lock box Vrbo did not give us that new information and the owner didn’t get back to us until 9:33pm about the keyless code to the door we got there a little after 4pm. She said she had to give Vrbo the information again. She had been driving all day. Vrbo had a virtual assistant that was no help at all. While you can see the ocean from the back deck. it is as the description says about a 7 to 10 min walk. Over all we had a wonderful stay. Stores are close by for anything you may need for stay.

Two keys provided and only one key worked on the front door that got locked 🔐 n unit. No backup and no communications for 12 hours from property owner.
