About this cottage rental
Nestled in Beulah, this lovely cottage for $335 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. The cottage has 70' of private frontage on one of Michigan's best lakes in the northwest section of the lower peninsula. Eight miles long. Excellent for fishing, skiing, kayaking, canoeing, and sailing. Great sunsets. The cottage has been completely renovated over the last few years. It is about 15' off the water. The Betsie Valley Trail crosses the back of the lot. It is 22 miles long. One direction heads to Frankfort, which is on Lake Michigan, and the other to Thompsonville. The trail is walking and bike friendly. There are two bikes at the cottage available at no charge. Google "Betsie Valley Trail" and click on "trail tour" for many pictures, including several of Crystal Lake. Other nearby activities include golfing [several courses], tennis/pickle ball [courts are about 500 feet from the cottage], and canoeing down the Platte River. The cottage is about a 10 minute drive to Lake Michigan. Traverse city is 30 miles away. The Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is around 30 miles away.

We have been visiting Crystal Lake for about 50 years and this is a fantastic property. We have stayed in many rentals around the world, and this is probably the best equipped property we have ever stayed in. Nothing is missing, and the property is top notch in every way, beautifully renovated a few years ago. Everything works, great water pressure, laundry equipment, air conditioning run for 30 minutes to take the humidity out of the house after a rain.
For the first time ever at a rental, we did not have to purchase any supplies (aside from food, of course a tenant has to buy their own food!). My favorite features were the solid internet, the wraparound porch with plenty of shaded seating, and the proximity to the Lake. The house is so close to the Lake, even inside due to rain, the Lake can still be enjoyed.
Having the patio doors open at night was wonderful with the lapping shoreline providing white noise. For most our 50 years we were on the north side of the Lake on Crystal Drive, and one of the first things we noticed was there is zero car noise here (the traffic noise is ever present on the north side). This house is also walkable to the village of Beulah (shops restaurants and more).
Our hosts (a local couple) are lovely people. I cannot say enough nice things about this property and we have reserved for next year.

Property was exactly as depicted. It was in a great location in Beulah, directly on Crystal lake. Property was super clean, had everything we could possibly need and had a great porch on the lake to have a morning cup of coffee/tea and sit with a cider in the evenings. We have 2 boys - 11 and 12 y/o and the location of the house was central to lots of fun things in the area as well as perfectly situated on the lake. What more could you want? Would definitely rent here again. Thanks for a great vacay!

This little cottage on beautiful Crystal Lake is a real gem. It is well stocked with everything you need, all neatly stored.
We spent hours on the deck gazing at the water. Having the Betsy Trail right there was great incentive to get active every day. Hosts were helpful, responsive and friendly. Five stars!

The cottage is just as pictured. Small, but lake front or rather on the lake. Its like sleeping on the dock. Wonderful location and the town and lake are fantastic. The communication with the owner was superb. The cottage is incredibly well stocked with towels and kitchen supplies. Very clean. Great rental for a couple or small family.

The cottage is in a great location on Crystal Lake. Very close to other towns and locations: biking and hiking trails, Lake Michigan beaches and more. The beach at the cottage is nice, too, the Lake is good for swimming, and the owners are very accommodating.

My family love our stay here. The house was in the perfect location, easily walkable to public beach, & restaurants. The house was well stocked with everything week needed. Very clean and the host was extremely helpful! The house was perfect for my 2 & 6 yr old, very family friendly especially with the sand beach to play at. We can’t wait to come back!

Our stay at quaint cottage was fantastic. The hosts are wonderful and the place is beyond comfortable and clean. Everything you could need is supplied for you so you don't have to schlep everything up with you. There is a full kitchen and there is an ice maker in the refrigerator which was great for our day trips. It was a wonderful place and we can't wait to go back. The only drawback was the shower stall which it tiny, you certainly don't want to drop anything because you won't be able to pick it up.

My family rented this cottage for our vacation, we have two boys ages two and four. The location was amazing - we could walk to a playground at the public beach in minutes or wander down to the coffee shop. The inside is definitely compact but the space is used very well. The hosts supply basically everything you need - this is helpful, but also means that a lot of the shelves/closets are filled up, so when you’re traveling with two small children and have lots of stuff there aren’t really places to put it all. That being said, we knew what we signed up for with 600 sq. ft. :) Having linens and towels plus lots of beach towels and blankets available saves lots of space in packing the car. If you’re using a pack and play, be aware that it can’t fit in the room with the full size bed and will need to be in the room with the twin beds. The owners were very responsive and check-in was a breeze using the lock box. Highly recommmend!

What a wonderful, small but very clean and up to date home! Pictures doesn't do it justice. Located at the south end of Crystal Lake this home had everything we needed. The doorwalls off the back of the home make for perfect sleeping at night and wonderful views/sounds during the day. Walk to town, bike to Frankfort, kayak/boat/jet ski on Crystal. We will book again.

Best Ever
WOW. Great place to stay. Walked in and the views of Crystal Lake were spectacular. The deck was comfortable and only 15’ from the lake. The cottage itself was beyond clean and the owners thought of anything that we might need. The furniture looked new and was so comfortable (loved the lazy boys). Beds very comfortable. Dan and Janice are gracious and generous hosts. They have thought of everything! The cottage has been completely redone and the finishes are beautiful. When you first walk in the cottage, it looks like the lake is right in the living room! We had my mother stay with us for the week and had plenty of room. Easy walk to town and all its amenities. Can't get closer to the water
Beautiful cottage, perfect for us. Everything you could need was right there. Extremely clean and well-kept. During a temporary power outage in the area the owner kept us informed on when it would be restored. Easy walk to Beulah for the best burgers ever. Close to beautiful Frankfort, the Platte River and Point Betsie.

Our bright corner on Crystal Lake
The cottage was so cute, bright, and clean. Great view with a covered porch we could still sit on in the rain. We launched our kayaks from the beach, and we loved our convenient access to the Betsie Trail and pickleball courts. We loved our corner of Crystal Lake.

This year was one of our best rentals to date (with decades of renting under our belt). All amenities were updated, from WiFi to some bonus AC, to kitchen cupboards. There wasn’t a single Item I could think of that wasn’t thoughtfully placed there for our use. Watching the minnows and our swimming right out front of the cottage, using paddle boat, life jackets or disposable cutlery and spices! The furniture was all very comfortable for my mom, my husband, myself and 9 year old step daughter. And the location was fabulous with Cherry Hut less than a mile away, could walk to the public beach and we loved the Betsie trail. We’d definitely book it again! Thank you for the cleanliness and attentions to detail.

Awesome!
This cottage sits on beautiful Crystal Lake. It’s in a unique location because most of the cottages/ homes’ lake access are across the street - not this cottage, you step from the living room onto a great covered deck with lots of seating, a beautiful view and you are just feet from the cottage’s lake access & dock. The cottage was very clean, had everything we needed and the owners were so helpful & available by phone / text if we had a question. The bathroom is very tight - functional, has everything you need, but just a very small shower stall. There is a stackable washer/ dryer which is great. Our kids (16 & 20) enjoyed the bikes & paddle boat that were provided. We were just a few minutes walk from downtown Beulah where you can enjoy freshly made bagels, pastries & sandwiches at L’Chayim deli and breakfast, coffee & ice cream at Ursa Major Bistro. The Betsie trail is located right behind the cottage, this is a fun walking / biking trail. We love this area & were absolutely Blessed to find this great cottage and beautiful space on Crystal Lake.

Beautiful Lake
We truly enjoyed our stay at the Cottage at Crystal Lake. The owners were truly kind to deal with. We enjoyed fishing, and swimming. The cottage was clean and in a nice location. The sunsets were beautiful from the porch each evening. The only thing I would say is the bathroom shower area is very small. But I would highly recommend this cottage.

Sweet "housboat"
My sisters and I make a pilgrimage almost every year to our favorite home away from home. Walking in the door all you see is water, so we have nicknamed it the "houseboat". It has everything you need, right down to the binoculars. The pictures are an accurate depiction - what you see is what you get. There is no better place to be than having coffee on the deck in the morning.

Always will be a Crystal Lake Girl
I have been a Crystal Lake Girl every summer since I was born. This cottage is perfect for getting away but within walking distance to Downtown Beulah and driving distance to Traverse City. Just imagine waking up to the sounds of the water right outside your window and enjoying the sunset while sitting on the deck with a wonderful northern Michigan made wine. Happily Hooked
Our Crystal Lake vacation is our summer highlight. We rent this adorable cottage, at the waters edge, every August. Safe (and no sharks!), clean and close to town. We use the boats to fish and tour the beautiful scene. Friday night fish fry, Hungry Tummy pizza, or a short drive to Boones on Long Lake (fabulous!), and we are happy campers. We can't wait to get back. Bonus, the owners are VERY nice people.
