Quiet tropical cottage with river access, wildlife, serenity, in Bonita Springs near US-41 giving you convenient access to area Spring Training Center and Coconut Mall as well as Miramar Outlets. It is in the center of some of the best beaches, Fort Myers Beach, Barefoot Beach, Bonita Beach, Lovers Key State Park and Golfing. We also have bikes, kayaks and beach equipment.Watch local wildlife the private dock. A pool screened in, has a table and chairs area, and fabulous river view. In a quiet neighborhood on a cul-de-sac, walking distance to grocery stores, short drive to beautiful beaches and golf courses, or grab the bus just 1/2 a block away to Lover’s Key State Park. Master bedroom with a queen size bed and a 2nd bedroom with twin beds. Maximum of 2 guests. No overnight guests.There is access to the backyard and dock/river. Right on the Imperial River, which will take you right to the gulf! Grocery stores close by include Publix and Fresh Market Several golf courses close by, including Bonita Fairway which is within walking distance. Nearby is Bonita Public Beach, or Barefoot Beach State Preserve, view exotic birds, tortoises, and other local wildlife, beach combing or kayaking, you’ll find there is something for everyone. Many family friendly and upscale restaurants close by, our favorites are Coconut Jacks Waterfront Grille. We are on-site and take care of the property and may be seen tending to the yard. please note: This house is in a quiet family neighborhood, Please do not inquire if you are planning loud parties. Beautful and peaceful! Has everything you would want in a waterfront getaway with lots to see and do close by. My grandson and i enjoyed spending time at Bonita Beach and the Everglades.

The major attraction is the river and nice gardening. We did use the kayaks, and that was fun. The beaches are not really so available--all parking at Bonita Springs beaches disappears very early in the day. Apartment is small-ish but well-equipped. There are nice restaurants in the area.
There is a nice, clean pool...but it was not heated. At this time of year, it's really to cold to swim.

Staying at Treetops was a relaxing and pleasant experience. The property is a little secluded slice of paradise. Everything was clean and well-kept. We really appreciated that bikes and kayaks were available for use, highlights of our stay. Also it is a great location and the hosts are very friendly people. We would recommend to friends.

Right from the start our stay was relaxing, quiet and uneventful. No drama. No disappointments. Everything described in the listing and then some were at our fingertips. We really enjoyed our conversations with Karen and Don and very much appreciate all they have done with their property, which is GORGEOUS!! Don went out of his way to make sure the hot tub was nice and warm for our chilly stay. Karen made sure she was available for any of our needs. It was obvious to us that they LOVE what they're doing. The VRBO experience is new to us. What a way to start!! Thank you guys! We hope to stay with you again and again!

Upon arrival Don greeted us and gave a thorough tour of the property. We had bikes to ride and kayaks to use on the Imperial River . We also took advantage of the beach chairs, coolers and umbrella for the days spent at Barefoot Beach and Lovers Key SP. Karen texted to let us know about a concert in the park one day. Overall we really enjoyed our stay in Bonita Springs.

The house is nice clean . Owner provided everything we need for our stay. The yard is the very inviting. My husband love to try fish on the duck. There were many colorful bids visit daily. It is Very peaceful place .

Lovely, two bedroom apartment, above the garage. Beautiful location. The owners were wonderful, available on site but not intrusive. Great location for sitting by the river, birdwatching. Lots of great restaurants just down the street. Only suggestion would be to supply softer, fluffy pillows for those who don’t like the firm ones.

We had a nice holiday at the Tree Tops House. Enjoyed the pool and garden with all the birds, squirrels, rabbits ans iguanas, as well as a cup of coffee at sunrise at the deck on the river.
The house is located at in a nice and quiet neighbourhood at the end of the road with direct access to the Imperial River. With the canoes we made some trips on the river as well as Oak Creek which enters the river opposite to the house. Fishing is possible as well.
The house is a good point to start trips to Captiva & Sanibel, to Cork Screw Swamp, to Naples or to Miromar Outlets. The old town center of Bonita Springs is in short walking distance. We can recommend a visit to Buffalo Chips restaurant as well as Everglades Wonder Gardens.

As soon as we pulled into the property we were happy with our choice. Even though it was late, Don came out to meet us to make sure that we got into the property without a hitch. The apartment itself was clean, comfortable, and ready for us to just crawl into bed. Unfortunately we did not spend a lot of time relaxing at the property as we were moving my son into FGCU campus and hitting beaches, but we walked around whenever we had a few moments. There was much to see and enjoy! But the best part is walking out of the apartment and that tropical Treetops feel! Don and Karen made our trips to the beach cheaper and easier with access to chairs, an umbrella, and coolers. We wish we had more time to take the bikes and kayaks out, sit with coffee by the river, and enjoy the pool! Next time! Treetops is a lovely, peaceful place to stay and we are already looking forward to our next visit! Thank you Don and Karen!

Staying at the Treetops was the ideal way to wrap up our summer. The location is absolutely perfect with a beautiful yard, personal access to the water for kayaking, and access to the best beaches. Karen was very friendly and responsive and communicated everything we needed. The kitchen is stocked with much more than you typically find and everything was very clean. We loved our stay at the Treetops!

Great tropical feel. Lots of space to enjoy the outdoor areas. Got to see the dolphins swim up and down the river while having coffee in the a.m. The pool was pleasant and clean. They offer anything you could possibly need to take to one of the local beaches. The living qtrs where also well stocked with anything you may need.
Very clean, quiet and comfortable with a treehouse feel getting to look out the windows at all the palms

My wife and I were in town to catch the Everblades win the Kelly Cup. Treetops was only about 20-25 minutes away from Hertz area with easy routes to get there.
We really enjoyed our week there. Karen and Don were awesome hosts.
The property was exactly as advertised, it was such a scenic place with lots to do.
We BBQ’d some of our dinners and Kayaked down the River which was very relaxing and scenic, including the opportunity to see some dolphins.
The only hiccup was trying to get the access code off the VRBO website, we got in very late and unfortunately the VRBO website just kept buffering and buffering, not sure what the issue was with the website but fortunately we were finally able to get the code.
Great visit, we’d highly recommend treetops!

There were plenty of pictures in the description of this rental. Still, when you fully experience it, you sense you're in paradise—beautifully kept grounds and peaceful surroundings, countless birdhouses with birds chirping, and a hammock to chill in - just what we needed to rejuvenate from the everyday grind. The setting made it easy to connect with nature and each other. The unit was private, clean, tastefully decorated, and it included everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We also enjoyed the large, beautiful swimming pool, fishing on the private dock, and our morning coffee by the river. The owners made us feel right at home - they were very respectful of our space and a delight to chat with. We highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for some rest and relaxation in a tropical setting. Thanks for sharing your piece of paradise with us!

Don and Karen are practical and caring hosts. Their property is so nice because of the multiple settings outside and their beautiful pool which we used nearly everyday after our morning adventures in the Bonita Springs area. The neighbors invited us to their annual block party which was so much fun. This retreat was so sorely needed in our lives and TreeTops fit the bill. Some of the living spaces are tight inside but we spent so much time outside exploring and visiting college friends. Do not miss out on investigating the many options in downtown Bonita Springs including the fabulous Buffalo Chips restaurant/bar. Thanks Don and Karen for making our first “snow bird” opportunity such a success.

We didn’t have time to enjoy all the amenities such as the kayaks but we did see others kayaking the river. The owners were very friendly and personable. Close to every but felt secluded. Clean and had everything we needed.

Best location ever - on the river with a pool, pond, jungle, kayaks, several seating areas, lots of coolers and supplies Very nice inside with really nice new tiled show.

We loved the kayaks and seating arrangements by the canal. We saw dolphins and manatees on many occasions during our stay. The hosts are very nice people and very accommodating. We slept well and had everything we could think of. Much recommended!

My best friend took me to this property for my birthday - her main reason for booking was the “screened in pool area” advertised… the host was very present and on site, which we wouldn’t have minded had the pool been what we hoped for...the pool and hot tub were lime green (which the host blamed on a recent storm but assured us it would be up and running the following day, which as a pool owner I knew was not very likely) I know that pool had not been treated in weeks!! Needless to say, we were unable to use the pool throughout our entire stay. If the pool area was in order…might have been a very different experience!! We still made the best of it!!

Paradise!!!
Now I could write a long travelogue on why you should stay here but here are the highlights.
What is described as a guest cottage is actually more a luxury suite beautifully decorated with every thing you would ever need!
You also have in your garage your own new grill , kayaks,bikes, fishing gear and everything you would need when going to the many beaches.
Your suite is attached to the main house and your hosts could not be more friendly from welcoming you ,to the time you have to head home to reality. I highly recommend spending time with Don and Karen especially during happy hour on their wonderful patio on the Imperial River. You will also be enjoying an amazing array of wildlife from the many birds to the bunny that calls their property home. The patio is also the perfect place to start your day with a cup of coffee.
Now, there is plenty to do in Bonita Springs but a big advantage to this spot on the Coast is it is only fifteen minutes to Naples to the South and fifteen minutes to Ft Myers to the North giving you an endless range of things to do.
Now for those of us that are taking a break from our Northern Winters it is just the perfect spot. If your a Florida resident it’s a great Summer getaway to get in some beach time!
I guarantee this will become one of your favorite getaways!!!

Welcome to Paradise
It's true. Spending two weeks in the Tree Tops apartment was everything we hoped it would be. Don and Karen have anticipated every need and provided every convenience. The retreat was spotless and beautifully decorated. The location provided easy access to the Fort Myers and Naples area. We were warmly welcomed by our hosts. Try doing what we did in the lush setting that abounds on their property: relax, explore, repeat.

Perfect getaway
Staying at Tree Top was a perfect combination of canal access and ( kayaks are included in the rental) short drives to beaches. Don and Karen were accommodating from initial contact and throughout our stay. We loved sitting out in the lovely garden by the canal.

Everything was perfect. I couldn’t have imagined a better stay or setting.

Peaceful spot on the Imperial River. Quiet neighborhood, beautiful yard, and very pleasant owners. Don and Karen were very helpful, and check in / check out were easy. The cottage was very clean. The extras available for use, such as beach chairs, coolers, etc. were really helpful for trips to Sanibel, Marco Island, and Big Cypress. Everything we needed was there! We did not use the kayaks, but did catch fish from the dock while enjoying chatting with Don (Thanks for all your help Don!) Saw many birds on the property, and a manatee from the dock. This is a great spot for wildlife lovers. We look forward to returning!
