Our "5 Star" guest rated 3BR/2BA home is centrally located near the Homosassa Springs for manatee viewing and the Gulf for secluded beaches, great fishing and catching scallops. Deep water dock directly on the Homosassa River in a No Wake zone. Also it is located 12 miles from World Woods Golf Club, Florida’s only 5 star public course. Look on the map and see the short easy walk from the home to waterfront restaurants and Tiki-bars. Forget something? Take a quick trip, walk or bike ride down the street, buy a gallon of milk, a bottle of wine, groceries, beer and more. Explore the town of Homosassa with a boat ride, paddle or scenic drive to local restaurants, stores, shopping areas and attractions. Or choose instead to go off the beaten path and find your own secluded waterways. The special places nearby, where a mother manatee swims with her calf in clear waters full of fish. Places like the backyard deck where dolphin swim, manatee visit and friendly birds fly and visit each day. You'll be in the middle of everything you want and perfectly far enough away from it all. Had a great time in this beautiful home. The home owner was quick to respond to any questions and was available to text or call throughout our stay. The house has a dock large enough for our 24’ boat, and the open floor plan and living area was spacious. Fully furnished kitchen, three bedrooms and two bathrooms made our stay feel like a home away from home. Looking forward to coming back in the future.

The home is as advertised, simple, nothing spectacular but a great location, great price. Had to call a few times to get the door code but no biggie.Ray and Barbs expectations for house conditions upon check out are a little ridiculous. I understand that, no cleaning fee was charged, and rule is to "Clean as you found it." Before we checked out, we cleaned/wiped the home, placed all linens in washer machine. Clean the dishes, cleaned the backyard, return items to shelves. We did everything short of cutting the grass. But they found "poop on the floor" outside of the toilet. Yeah right. Supposedly they found trash on the floor. Yes I moved the furniture around a bit, it's not like I moved it across the house. I think in order to satisfy Ray and Barb, you better take pictures of everything in the house as you arrive. Make a comparisons before you leave. Because there's a good chance they will "say" something wasn't as you found it.

The view, the location couldn’t have been more beautiful. The house was very comfortable. Ray and Barb were the perfect hosts. We really enjoyed our visit and would most definitely recommend it and would book again. Loved our visit from Kevin every day. The neighbors were great 😊 thank you

If you want fancy and up to date things, this is not it. If you want a spacious home in a perfect location, you've found it! We had lots of friends staying at Seagrass so we were able to walk back and forth. Kids loved catching crabs and kayaking to springs. Swimming right behind the house with warmer water is also a plus! Would def book again.

Lovely spot right on the river. Saw manatees and dolphins from the lanai. Not fancy but very functional. Spent most of the time outside.

Great location, close to the Springs. Loved that we had heron visitors and enjoyed meeting Gary and Kevin! We had a beautiful day to take the kayaks out for some exploring. Kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. We especially enjoyed the view from the screened porch and big living room window.

In the 15 years we have been coming to Homosassa, we have rented a different home each time and this home had the best location of all! I loved the outdoor area and porch and it was so nice and peaceful. The home had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable. The only issue we had was having such a big vehicles and a trailer and there wasn’t alot of space for parking or maneuvering in the small street. My daughter and her fiancé were staying at a place the next street over from the neighborhood and we just walked to each other‘s houses. Overall though your home is great! We had a wonderful time and I would love to stay here again.

I have been looking for a place like this for years! I’ve stayed at properties that stated “ abundant wildlife”, but I’ve always disappointed. This place is an animal lovers paradise! We enjoyed every minute of our stay here. Perfect location, very clean, and just an overall wonderful place. We sat out on the deck enjoyed watching the boats go by during the day. The quiet mornings out on the dock watching the sun rise was so peaceful and relaxing. The first morning we were there I spent a few hours out on the dock just watching the sun rise and to my surprise, I had several Manatee visitors swim right under the dock. Made my day!!! We enjoyed the area, swam with the manatees, went on an air boat ride out to the Gulf and visited the Homosassa Wildlife Park. Wish we had more time to explore more but gives me an excuse to plan another trip down there. Thank you for sharing your home with our family. It's definitely a slice of heaven!!!

This place felt like I was visiting my family's river house. Very homely and welcoming. Nothing over-the-top fancy, but still fully equipped for extended stays. The pictures in the listing truly do not do this place justice. You can spend the entire day just sitting on the dock watching the boats and kayaks. Maybe seeing an occasional dolphin or manatee pass close by. Boating up to the springs to watch the manatees, and down the river to see monkey island and all the land that is still "old Florida" was definitely a crowd pleaser. If you don't feel like cooking, there's plenty of great local eateries to venture out to for lunch and/or dinner! Definitely add this place to your ❤ list!!

Awesome view
This place is perfect if you love views of the lake! The inside is older and not updated but was clean and we were there to be outdoors so it was fine for us. We spent time relaxing outside and watching the boats, we rented a boat and searched for manatees and we fed the visiting birds! The neighbors did play music almost every morning and our last evening which tainted the overall relaxing vibe. I contacted the owners and they said they would address it with them. Other than that, the location is great! It was a nice getaway for our family and the perfect spot to enjoy the outdoors!
