This historic home was stripped to the base frame and completely updated and modernized. We added granite countertops, a marble bathroom, and refinished wood floors. All the comforts of home with a full kitchen stocked with all potential necessities. This home is in outstanding condition. The town is a wonderful close community, and matches your imagination of small town living. Wake up and go for a jog or bike ride and stop at the local coffee shop and bakery. Restaurants range from sophisticated to casual home cooking. The town is completely surrounded by water with the East Bay of Lake Michigan along the west side of town and Elk Lake to the east. You can travel by boat from Elk Lake to Torch Lake, known as the Caribbean of the North (National Geographic.) Elk Rapids is known for festivals and art fairs, and during the summer on Wednesday nights, the streets are closed for food and entertainment. This area is an ideal spot to hunt for morel mushrooms in the spring, enjoy the beaches in the summer, do color tours in the fall and ski in the winter.
