Welcome to Kahler Cabin on beautiful Big Round Lake!
Come relax, unwind, and enjoy the peaceful beauty of lake life. Our cozy cabin is the perfect place to slow down, spend time with family and friends, and make lasting memories.
Step outside and take in the beautiful lake views from the spacious waterfront deck. Whether you’re enjoying your morning coffee, soaking up the sunshine, watching the sunset, or gathering around with loved ones, the lake is always the star of the show.
We’ve created a comfortable, clean, and welcoming space where you can truly get away from it all and enjoy everything the Northwoods has to offer. Enjoy your next vacation at this lovely cabin. It is so relaxing and conveniently located just 70 miles northeast from the Twin Cities. Big Round Lake is over 1000 acres and is second to none for fishing in Northwest Wisconsin. It is also perfect for all water sports.
The cabin was completely remodeled in 2010 and is very clean and comfortable. Central air and forced air furnace to keep you comfortable all year long. We have also placed coin operated laundry facilities in the tiled entry way. All sheets and towels are provided for you. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes and pots and pans, and there is a gas grill provided. This cabin will sleep 6 people comfortably. No pets and no smoking.
On the main level you enter the cabin through the knotty pine entry way with tiled floors. From there is the spacious kitchen with dinner table. There is a nice bathroom with a shower stall. Sorry no bathtub. Just off the kitchen is the living room with cable TV, brand new 50 inch LED flat screen TV, and DVD player. Attached to the living room is the 4 season sun porch with knotty pine walls, a 14' flat screen TV, a hide a bed sofa for extra sleeping space, and a door that walks out to the lake. Wireless internet is included as well.
On the upper level you will find one large bedroom furnished with 2 queen beds, a dresser, and a 32' flat screen TV. It has one window facing the lake, and two other windows which give you a wonderful cross breeze. The second bedroom has a queen bed, 12' flat screen TV, a dresser, and a 1/2 bathroom with a toilet and a sink. Both bedrooms are furnished with a box fan, and have a small closet if you wish to hang up your clothing.
Outside you will enjoy the large well maintained one acre yard. There is a picnic table and a beautiful fire pit patio on top of the hill facing the lake. There is also a beautiful deck on top of the boat house which is a guest favorite for lake views and relaxing. This gives you an amazing view of the sunset while having a bonfire. Firewood is included. Newly added is boat house with a turf grass deck area. Perfect for sun bathing or just relaxing with a great lake view. A private dock is provided for your personal boat, pontoon, or other water craft that you are welcome to bring. We have a paddle boat, canoe and 2 kayaks available to you. One of our favorite things to do is take the canoe or kayak up the Straight River that comes into the lake on the Northwest end of the lake.
Feel free to bring your boat and tie to the dock during your stay! UTV riding is very popular with many quiet country roads to travel on!

We would stay here again. Loved the sun bathing deck and use of the amenities like the kayaks and paddle boat.

My friends and I took our 4th annual girl's trip and stayed here. It was perfect. We were worried about being too loud for the neighbors, especially after realizing the owners were right next door, but it wasn't a problem. They were very nice and super welcoming to our group. Their dog, Max and their cat, Pearl were wonderful and visited us as well. Our questions were answered very timely. The kayaks were an amazing addition. It was a successful trip! We would definitely consider coming back again!
