Some of the best location for all the attractions. The apartment is super cozy but a bit worn. Mirella is very helpful and a great host.

We really enjoyed our stay. Mirella, our hostess, was very helpful. She was also very accommodating when we arrived a day early which was my mistake.
Thank you Mirella

Mirabelle was an excellent host who was very warm and welcoming to our young family. Thank you for your generosity during our short stay in your charming apartment and for making this trip so memorable!

Our family of five had a great stay at Mirella's place in Rome. It was walking distance to everything we wanted to do during our four-day stay and Mirella provided excellent communication, even helping us with transportation from the airport and a taxi to the train station when we departed. Highly recommended!

Mirella's apartment is spacious, excellent location, about 10 minute walk to St. Peter's square and Pantheon, many restaurants, shops and a great cafe just around the corner. It is a bit older unit, to be sure, but everything worked including nice hot shower, much needed each day after exploring the eternal city. Mirella is very helpful, even helped me booked an event that required an Italian phone.

Lovely apartment in convenient location to everything. Host was extremely helpful and welcoming. Only had a slight issue with the shower not draining quick enough to have a proper shower, but otherwise accommodations were lovely.

super convenient location, nice and safe neighborhood, small but efficient kitchenette and restroom.... most of all extremely nice and well organized host! Thank you, Mirella!

This is my third time staying at Mirella’s apartment and I even checked her availability before booking my flight to Rome. What makes this “my” place in Rome is simple——Mirella and the street, via dei Banchi Vecchie.
Starting with Mirella. Her care (she even comes down to make sure the car she has ordered for your transport to airport, no matter the hour), concern and welcome makes you feel at home. I have visited with family, friends or solo and it is a joy to be there. As an older solo woman, I knew that if friends or family could not make it, Mirella would make sure I was ok. No small thing for sure.
And the street. This year there were even more shops, stores, restaurants on it but not spoiling
the character and charm of the Centro Storico. Even a marvelous gelato place next door! Convenient to so many places. We walked everywhere from Campo di Fiori to the Colosseum to the Vatican. Just a superb location.
If you are looking for luxury, 5 star accommodation, thus is not the place for you. I think the reviews are accurate. For me, this is the place and Mirella is a lovely, very special person.

The location is excellent. Close to all major sites. Mirella is a lovely host. As others have mentioned, the bed is very hard and uncomfortable. Also, the bath towels need replacing.

We had the best stay in the apartment - it’s an incredible location just a short walk from all the famous locations and has a couple of wonderful bars, emote cars and restaurants nearby. Mirella is a wonderful host and we felt very happy there.

The apartment was exactly as seen online. Old fashioned but very clean and in a lovely neighborhood. Mirella was wonderful and very helpful. For a long stay it would be wonderful.

The host was most helpful arranging transportation for us on various outings where we wanted a Taxi.
The flat was just ok. Not a window in the place . The bed was so hard my back ached the entire stay and my husband could not sleep on.
Very dated

Property was very good. Enjoyed shared terrace on rooftop with view of St. Peter's. Great location for all major tourist attractions. Quiet location as well. Mirella was very helpful with our questions and her suggestions.

The apartment is perfectly located - Near enough to walk to all the major sites and in a nice, safe, bustling neighborhood. The mattress is the hardest I've ever slept on, and the furniture is a little worn. But, overall, its fine and met our needs. Mirella was a very helpful host.

Our first impression carried through the entire stay. We were warmly welcomed! Mirella was such a delight. She gave us a short tour of her neighborhood and apartment. I loved the area, it was in the heart of everything. We always felt safe walking Rome, from 8a to midnight, we walked everywhere and the apartment was easy to get back to for a quick nap and then a night out on the town.

My friend and I so enjoyed our 3 nights at mirellas. The apartment is in a quaint neighborhood with lovely bakeries, gelato shops and restaurants. Mirella gave us many recommendations as well as access to the rooftop terrace. Mirellas place was only 10-15 minutes to Vatican City and 30 minutes or less from most tourist spots like the colosseum, Trevi fountain etc. would definitely stay again!

It was a wonderful trip. Maria was fantastic. She scheduled bith out pick up at port and to the airport. The apt was spotless and had everything we needed. She provided lots of helpful info on restaurants and other attractions and made sure through we had everything. She was a pleasure to meet and hope to get back in the future and would 100% stay here agaun

This location was perfect. It is within reasonable walking distance pretty much in the center of all the major tourist hot spots and there are a ton of restaurants nearby within 2 minutes walking time. The host Mirella is very kind and responds quickly to communications and also is a huge help getting a very reasonably priced cab to and from the airport. Even during a transportation strike she was able to get me a ride back to the airport. Would definitely stay here again

I agree with her description. The neighborhood is delightful, and much more fun than the American-centric area I stayed in the other time I was in Rome.
I agree with other reviewers who said the bed is a bit hard for our taste, but the beds in the living areas are very comfortable, so whatever your preference is, it's not a problem.
The details that Mirella attend to are impressive. So many thoughtful touches - like even leaving a rain poncho and umbrella to use. We were lucky and didn't need them, but it was nice to know they were there.
The apartment is clean, attractive and comfortable. It also has a small private courtyard, and a wonderful rooftop. Go up there and enjoy the sunset!

We chose this because of the location, which is great! A short walk to the Vatican, Piazza Navonna, Campo di Fiore, and the Pantheon. It is a slightly longer walk to the Forum and Coliseum, but very doable (or there are buses). And let’s not forget there are two patisserie is in the Gelateria and several restaurants within just a few steps.
The apartment itself was very nicely furnished and plenty of room for us and our things and it has a lovely little courtyard and access to a roof deck which we used. The kitchen is tiny, but we didn’t use it to cook though I assume it so it would be very usable.
One thing you should be aware of if you’re coming in the summer is there’s no air-conditioning in the apartment but there were some fans. We came in September when It cooled down a little bit, but I don’t think it would’ve been too comfortable in the heat of the summer. The other thing that we found is that the beds are very hard although not painfully so just it’s something you should be aware of.
Finally, the owner, Mirelle, was absolutely wonderful. She met us when we arrived. She made sure we were all set up in the apartment and knew everything was. She arranged for transportation to the airport when we left and gave us lots of good information about the local area. We would absolutely stay here again.

. Mirella was a pressure to meet. The place is centrally located..The location is in with the locals. Which believe me is nice. There is a Vino bar very close by. I would most definitely stay there again. There is only one thing which is more of a preference. The mattress little hard. But don’t let that stop you from staying there.

My mom and I stayed here for a week in August and it was the absolute best. The host made us feel at home and everything we could possibly need was a short walk away. The apartment is close enough to walk everywhere but far enough away from the tourists to stay quiet and calm. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Perfectly situated apartment close to all. Mirella was an excellent host. Before and during our stay she was very reachable and helped us arrange a tour of Rome and the Vatican as well as a day trip to the coast. She also scheduled ground transportation for us to and from the property. She went above and beyond and we enjoyed our stay.

Such a nice place in a great neighborhood that is close to everything. Felt like we stayed in a real Roman neighborhood. The gelateria two doors down is so good, we went every day. Maria is so kind and lives in the building and is very communicative and happy to help if needed. We loved our stay, would stay again.

This apartment is not modern (no AC, TV, washer) but it is spacious and the location could not be better! Lovely, quiet street within steps of wine bars, smoothie shop, gelato, bakery, restaurants and more. The roof terrace is an added bonus. Walking distance to all of the historic sites. Mirella was a wonderful host and so helpful with local information. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

The location was perfect for a family.
The apartment was spacious with nice outdoor space. Host met us out front when we arrived and showed us around. Good resources as far as maps and recommendations while we stayed. She also arranged taxi for us when we were leaving which was very helpful. We would definitely stay again!

Communication was great with our host. Mirella arranged for a car to pick us up from the train station and she met us at the front door of the property. The property was as described, perfect space for our family of five. We did not have meals there but there is a small kitchen if you want to cook. There are many cafes to eat on the same block. Walking distance to the Vatican. Colosseum was a bit further but walkable. We felt safe everywhere we went. On our way out, Mirella was so helpful in getting us transportation to the train station. Our driver did not show up bc of miscommunication and she ran down the street to hail us a cab. I would recommend her place as it is very clean and convenient. Mirella was very gracious to offer her help with any questions.

We’ve visited Rome many times, but have never stayed in this neighborhood. What a great area!! Endless restaurants. We loved POLESE which was recommended by our host. Mirella our HOST was WONDERFUL! She arranged transportation for us from the airport and back at the end of our stay. She welcomed us when we arrived and opened the apartment for us. She ‘introduced’ the neighborhood to us and gave us recommendations for places to eat and shop. 👏👏👏

The apartment is great but Maria made an amazing home for 4 days. She has great information and is so kind.

This place is perfectly located in the center of a beautiful neighborhood. Mirella is such a gracious and helpful host! The place is charming with a tons of interesting unique art pieces and furnishings. The beds were not the most comfortable, but everything else made up for it. Would recommend.

Everything about this place including the lovely owner is charming! It’s in a great location. The owner leaves excellent instructions and recomendations. She even booked us a car to the airport at a very decent price. We also did a night tour with Pietro (her recomendation) and it didn’t disappoint. Highly suggest staying here if you can.

Like Rome itself, Mirella greets you warmly as you arrive. She is the most wonderful, attentive host we have ever met. The apartment is spacious and very clean and comfortable. Best of all, is the location. It is perfect for walking to many of the key sights or to taxis or buses and yet just enough off the congested tourist beat so you get to experience a real Italian neighborhood. There is an excellent gelato shop and a wine cafe only steps away and a very short walk to a small piazza with two very good trattorias. We lived in Rome as students many years ago and have been back three times now but this stay was very special largely due to our having made the perfect choice of this property as our temporary home for this visit.

My friends and I instantly fell in love with our host, Mirella. She was available for any and all questions. She was full of information to enhance our visit to Rome. We loved our rental! It was perfect for the 4 of us. We walked to -Vatican City! There is a large outdoor restaurant about 1 1/2 blocks from the rental. We ate there every evening because the food, ambience and service was excellent!

We were so happy with the location as it was within walking distance of all the major attractions. Mirella was incredible and helped us set up our transition to and from Rome. We’d stay again when we come back to visit!

Mirella was a wonderful host. The apartment was clean, as expected and is in a great location with a short walk, a couple blocks, to the river and St Angelo Castle & St Peter's. There are many good restaurants within a few blocks including the Campo Fiore.
I would avoid the "Hop On/ Hop Off busses. They are only good for a trip around the city for orientation.
5.0
From the moment of arriving to the time leaving, Mirella was there to help us. You will not need taxis or metro to get to ANY of the fantastic tourist attractions - you are so centrally located they are all within walking distance. There are two great restaurants around the corner (one is claimed to be Gwenyth Paltrow's favorite). Nothing like eating the first night in Italy steps from your home and greeted the Italian way with too much food an grappa brought for free to the table just because we had to try it. Both bakeries literally within steps are great with fresh baked and economical breakfast. The grocery store and ATM is about 150 yards from the house. The only thing to be aware of is the bed - as Americans it is not the soft mattress we are used to, but it is the typical European mattress. No worries though, great food, lots of walking, and a wonderful time makes you fall asleep fast! (For those of you a little larger, the shower might be a little tight) but for my husband and I, plenty of hot water and manageable! Internet is easy to set up. Use the bug spray on the terrace. And Italy and Mirella we can't wait to come back!!!

Mirella’s apartment was just what we needed to do a self contained 3 day walking tour of Rome. All the sights were within a 5-30 minute walk and the apartment was great to come back to during the afternoon for a rest before going out again. Communication was easy with Mirella and she even offered us milk from her fridge when we arrived late at night for a cup of tea after a 22 hour trip across the Indian Ocean from Melbourne. Thanks Mirella

This is a very central location and in a great neighborhood. We were able to walk to all the major sites. The apartment was very clean with everything you need. Mirella was extremely helpful and responsive to our questions.
