This oceanfront condo is conveniently located within easy walking distance of the beach and the Gearhart Golf Links, so come prepared for a fun weekend with both surf and turf options! As you pull up to the home, you’ll notice it’s behind a fenced area that contains a patio space with a table seating four and two colorful Adirondack chairs where you can sit and chat with friends. Enjoy crisp coastal air and briny breezes as you get the weekend kicked off with some barbecuing on your gas grill, provided here on the patio. The home itself is appointed with beach and maritime touches throughout: wood panels reminiscent of a ship’s hull make up the ceiling, framed paintings showing ocean vistas and coastal landscapes hang on the walls, and the light colors chosen for the furnishings reflect a casual beach house vibe. Head through the sea-blue front door and peer down the hallway for your first view of the spacious interior. Just around the corner to your right lies the bedroom with a plush king-size bed atop a black wooden platform. Lay down on the bed to experience the supreme comfort of high thread count sheets and oversized pillows (we won’t blame you if you don’t want to get up!). On both sides of the bed sit modern lamps atop black wood nightstands and, with a large bay window behind the headrest, offer plenty of light in the room. In front of the bed, in the corner of the room, are one of two flatscreen TVs for movie nights. Of course, you’ll want to relax after a full day spent hunting for shells and playing in tide pools on the beach, so come home to a back patio that offers seating on a bench or in more colorful Adirondack chairs, which are perfect for lounging as you gaze out over the huge green backyard and the beach just beyond. Whether it’s time for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, all meals can be made just inside from the back patio in the well-appointed kitchen. The kitchen’s open floor plan allows for space to cook while. The living room is perfect for reading, watching cable TV or movies on the DVD player, and lounging on the plush sofabed couch or cloth recliner. (The fireplace is not operational). Plus, you can watch whatever you're in the mood for with Netflix streaming on the TV. Take in the gorgeous scenery and stunning coastal vistas at the Gearhart Ocean State Park, which is directly to the south. Or head three miles down the road to the bustling yet quaint town of Seaside for great shopping, dining, and entertainment - like the fun child-friendly Seaside Aquarium! Things to Know Pets are only allowed October-May. If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting "Yes" to pets. No more dogs are allowed. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 21 years of age to book. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation. Check in and check out time should be changed. It gives you very little time to stay and relax. Asked to check in early, but I guess cleaning takes six hours. Then closely looking at the place cobwebs, dust bunnies in corners of wall, baseboards dusty. The place (other units) empty so not the time of year others would be visiting as we were the only car in the parking lot. We could have checked in early.

We had a great time! Our 6 month old lab had the time of her life. The grass areas immediately outside are off limits to pets but easy enough to get around them. The beach was quiet and just a 3 minute walk from the front door. We look forward to coming back soon.

Wish they would spend a few dollars on some sheets and pillows though. The sheets must be 100 thread count and the pillows are like empty sacks….other than that the place is great

Great place to stay for two of us and a dog. Nice, well appointed unit. Great views of the ocean and an easy walk to the beach. My only (very minor) feedback is that the sheets are due for replacement...they had a lot of pilling.

No way to control the heat. Upon check in the temperature was excessively warm. We didn't find a way to adjust the thermostat. Perhaps it was on a timer.
The flickering lights were annoying when the dimmer switches were used. The inventory labeling for the dishware and the note on the fridge to be aware of the watchful neighbor who doesn't want dogs to be in certain areas of the yard was alienating. This property was advertised as dog friendly.
On our last night there was a power outage so we left earlier than anticipated.

This place was better than expected, better than the pictures! I grew up in Rockaway so I’ve always had a cabin to stay down there. This was such a nice change of pace for my husband and I. Very clean, well equipped, and the views are spectacular. Also, it’s just a short short walk to the beach, and beautiful benches all along the seagrass for you to enjoy an even closer view of the ocean. Only a couple minor annoyances, like anytime the Nextdoor condo cooks, your entire condo smells like bacon grease, or whatever they’re cooking, but was mostly solved by just opening the back slider. Also, neighbors to our left were extremely loud, causing us to wake up all hours of the night from them slamming the two doors to go out to their car every hour or so. But hopefully the next tenants will be more respectful. Another note, is that you share your front and back patio spaces. Our neighbors didn’t really respect our space and kept going over to our side in the front deck space. While I’m ok sharing, I didn’t appreciate a tall man’s head right at my bedroom window trying to mess with all the stuff that was out on our side. Scared me to death when I wondered what the noise was, I opened the blinds in bed and a man is staring at you while you’re in your Pj’s lol! He was also very loud and yelling over and over to his wife about questions from like 20 ft away from one another. So I give this place five stars, because they probably don’t have much control over the next unit that’s shared.

We stayed for two nights in August. The condo was nicely scaled for two persons and our small dog. We appreciated the architectural features: brick wall and sloped open beam ceiling in the living room, and the kitchen island. It was nice to be so close to the beach and to have a sliver of an ocean view.

The two of us and our dog were happy with the rental, the big green area where we could play with our dog. The beach is a short distance away (the path takes you to the beach where vehicles are allowed…go left 50 yards and they are not allowed). The fireplace should have been working and their should be more storage, but overall we enjoyed it.

Location was excellent. View was excellent. Condo was acceptable. Furniture needs to be cleaned to minimize the frigging dog hair. Not a dog lover and having to put up with dog hair is not good. Screen door fell off every time you tried to open it.

Gearheart is our new favorite destination on the Oregon coast. Beautiful beach without the crowds. We loved our view from the condo. A perfect space for getting away and enjoying nature. And just a short walk to McMenamins. We’ll be back again.

The view is wonderful. The birds and elk activity is amazing.I'm giving 5-star because this place is amazing. It is an older building but that's what makes it so unique,they do a good job on upgrades. Kept very clean. Yeah the gate sticks a little bit getting into the private patio, furnitures on patio it's older and worn.
If you want perfect rooms then go stay in one of those big monster six-story things! this is for people that want a real getaway.

The next day it was super sunny, big windows really allow you to enjoy the weather!
Beach is absolutely beautiful! Nice trail to the beach, but if you are not as mobile as you would like there is a vehicle access point a block or two away.
