Visited adult son in LA and along with adult daughter had a wonderful visit. Dinners in worked out well as it was an equipped kitchen. Outdoor grill also was nice to have. Great hiking nearby and overall was everything we wanted.

The property is showing its age, some exterior dry rot. There is a leak from some pipe under kitchen sink. Need upgraded hairdryer in master bath. But a quiet, pleasant neighborhood (other than a fire in carport across the street during the night with 5 fire trucks responding). Grocery stores and finer restaurants are some distance away. Surrounding hills/mountains are quite lovely.

A great mid century condo with outdoor space. Fit 3 to 4 adults well. We used the BBQ and oven. All worked well. Only wish there was a string of outdoor lights on the patio so we could have eaten outside after sunset.

My wife and I immediately loved the property. Compact, but not tight, it had everything we could have wanted, from the inviting living space and patio, to the well appointed kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. Our only regret was that we didn’t have a few more days to spend in this great property and attractive neighborhood!

We were at 2 houses (aralia and Juniper) for several weeks and enjoyed our stay very much. Both places are very comfortable and well-stocked (although both need a new can opener!). Location is close to trails and is in a friendly neighborhood.

We stayed in this home for two weeks in January and found it very comfortable. We were welcomed by a gift basket of treats which was a sweet touch after a long day of traveling. It was so nice to have a private patio with plenty of seating options and even a grill (which we never got around to using). It was also great to have a washer and dryer on hand. The furniture was comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and updated. The gas fireplace in the living room was a big plus for the cool winter evenings and made sitting in front of the TV a cozy experience. At one point the water heater died and our host was super quick to respond and had it replaced immediately. The neighborhood is lovely and I'm glad I got to experience it. I had not stayed in the foothills before and I like to walk for exercise, but hadn't realized how steep some of the streets would feel to me! I thought I'd walk the 3/4 of a mile down the foothills but soon realized I wasn't going to be comfortable walking the turning stretch of road that crests the canyon and has very little room for a pedestrian on the drop-off side and no room on the other side. Instead I drove down to Pasadena and walked the (flatter) neighborhoods there. Pasadena is not far and there was plenty to do and see there, but we always enjoyed coming back to our place in the foothills, as it had all the comforts of home and felt very private.

Kathleen was wonderful to us. I so much prefer Vacation living to Air B&B as they gave us such great personal service. Not only were the houses wonderful, clean and spacious but Kathleen made sure that we were personally taken care of. We had a lot of difficulty finding a good place for our two dogs and my handicapped husband. That search was so difficult, but Kathleen made sure that we had just the right place for all of us. We are so grateful for all her help and will definitely use this company again and again.

The patio was lovely and we really enjoyed watching all the hummingbirds in the morning. We were close to everything we planned to visit and it only took about 30 minutes to get to most Hollywood and Downtown activities. Grocery and food delivery options in the neighborhood were awesome and everything you need is there. Only constructive criticism I have is that the beds are REALLY firm. So plan accordingly if you like a softer mattress. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

Congratulations to the photographer...he/she made the house look much bigger than actual. Although the customer service was very good, Some problems were endemic. The heater was inadequate, it hardly heat the master bedroom and the master bath was so cold we had to keep the our closed so as not to cool the bedroom. Skillets were not non-stick and difficult to clean. fireplace was a joke. Bed linens were of poor quality. One shower head had to be replaced. No serviceable broom for cleaning. Plates for eight but silverware for four. It was cozy and we made do but would not trnt this property again.
