About this house rental
Nestled in Surfside Beach, this lovely house for $200 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. This elegant beach house has an unobstructed stunning beach view! This lovely home with a great deck with recently built pergola provide lovely shades and unobstructed ocean view where you can watch beautiful sun rise on the beach and enjoy the ocean breeze. There is a easy walk-over access to the beach from house front, it only take you few steps within a minute walking distance to the beach! Nearby restaurants just one block away within 5 min walking distance. The spacious living/kitchen area with two full size fridges and game table which is perfect for a family gathering. Kitchen has bar counter with bar tools, dinning table with 6 chairs plus glass top tea table and chairs in living room which provides extra sitting for dinning. Large master bedroom with master bathtub to the right, and the back two bedrooms share a bathroom with bathtub and toilet. This beach house is beautifully furnished, equipped with full kitchen, fine dining ware, cook utensils, front load wash/drier, laundry detergent for sheets/towels are also provided, is perfect for a family vacation. This welcoming and inviting home is clean, well maintained, and beautifully decorated. You will feel like as if you were in a home away from home. We have a full kitchen with all of the amenities( regular and cup coffee maker, slow cooker, blender, waffler maker, etc) needed to make your own meals. The home also had quite a few games, 5 in 1 game table, many books, and a whole lot of kid friendly movies. Dish TV has HBO, Cinemax, and many movie channels. Your day will start with having a fresh cup of coffee on the patio under nice pergola shade every morning watching sunrise. During the day you will have beach fun all day: swimming, picking shells, and building up sand castle. Beach toys, kick boards are stocked downstairs by staircase. By the end of the day the deck will be shaded by the house from the afternoon sun and catches the cool ocean breezes, you can lay back with a drink and enjoy the ocean breeze in the shade, listing to the waves and watching sun goes down. There is small picnic table on deck you can sit have an afternoon tea or coffee. In the evening some chose to have a walk & talk on the beach while others chose to have fun with games or curl up on couches watch a movie to relax. At beginning of each year, we will do a lots of additions to this property: towels /beddings (pillows, comforters and sheets) added in early spring, vacuum cleaner/floor sweeper/bucket set will be replaced, so house guests can keep floor clean during their stay. We also have futon and sofa cover pads applied to all furnitures and have them washed after each rental. Patio furnitures such beach chairs, lawn chairs, also been added during the summer rental. The water filter system will be checked early spring and water filter cartridge will be replaced on monthly basis. We have been taking good care of our property since we owned it. On 2023 new deck handrails plus front deck pergola was built on Jun. On 2022 we installed new wood floor, interior/ exterior painting for entire. house. New air compressor of center AC system has been in service since 2018. New water filtering system for entire household water supplies has been installed since Apr 2019. water filter cartridge is designated for sulfur and iron removal for well water since Surfside beach water supplies coming from well water. We will continue to keep up our properties to provide better and comfortable environments to our guests. The house is furnished with Direct TV over 200 channels( HBO, Cinemax, Disney, ESPN, etc. plus local channels), and DVR up to 100 hours so you can record your favorite TV show while you have fun on the beach! Check in 4pm, check out 11am, some flexibility may be possible ( early checkin or late check out ) but must be cleared by owner. Minimum age of responsible party is 22. Everything was great BUT we encountered a tripping hazard after we checked out today. There is a small area next the stairs that is elevated. My sister in-law went down the stairs and was walking towards her car and did not see that area that is elevated and tripped. She fell and broke her nose. PLEASE contact the owner of this property to have this fixed.

This was a great property! Property manager is so very nice and communicative! It’s an amazing location, literally a few feet from the beach!!! My only complaint would be that the TV’s in the bedrooms didnt work. One room had a Roku set up, and we had purchase a Roku remote in order to watch TV. If you have children that watch TV, or are a person who sleeps with the TV on, I would either buy an antenna, or bring a firestick. There was also a slight odor in the home as well. (Although tolerable). Would still rent again, and would recommend.

We enjoyed our first visit to this beach. The house was very comfortable and roomy for our family. The grass in the fenced yard was a little long when we arrived, but when it was cut near the end of our stay, it really is a cute and functional yard for small children and pets. The walk to the beach was very doable for our toddlers and our going back and forth to bring our beach wagons/gear. There were stairs to the beach, which we weren’t expecting, but they were very sturdy and easy to use. The beach was very clean and the water (during most of our visit) was very calm, warm, and overall enjoyable for our young children. We also weren’t expecting vehicles on the beach, but because the sand was very difficult for vehicles to drive through, traffic on the beach as a hazard to children running around was definitely not an issue. We will definitely be back.

Great place and location. My mom who’s 73 years old have no problem walking from house to beach for a swim every day. That is my way of describing how close it is to the beach. House was awesome and setup really great for a family vacation. The only problem is that the water filter was broken and the water through out house stinks pretty bad. Have to buy extra bottled water for cooking, washing for the toddler, and brushing. Hope they get it fixed for the next group, aside from water stinking it is a great place to have a family getaway and wouldn’t mind booking another trip there.

This place was really close to the beach. Will definitely stay there again in the future when we take another beach trip. Close to Galveston for a nice day trip. Great fishing in the area too. The Seahorse Bar and Grill are about a 2 minute walk down the beach.

The thing I loved most about this house is that it's priced like a 5th row beach house, but it seems like it's a 1st row. The pictures do no to it justice, this house is much closer to the beach than it looks. The huge front deck has a big view of the beach. The living room was wonderful. The big sofa was comfy, and the futons made for nice versatile beds. We loved having the extra fridge. We used it for drinks. Speaking of which, the liquor store was right down the road and was super convenient. There is also a restaurant a couple hundred feet away that is right on the beach. The rooms were great; we appreciated having TVs in every bedroom. We also liked that they were big beds and not a bunch of bunks. This makes it a great retreat for couples!! The internet was slow, our speeds were 5-15mbps however, with my ATT phone I had super fast 5G and I just used my hotspot. The kitchen was well equipped and I appreciated the picture in the ad showing what appliances are there. It made planning meals much easier. The only thing I needed was foil and a sheet pan. They are very generous with supplying lots of towels. The beds were firm but comfy. The only thing I can think of that I would like to have is maybe a hammock or upholstered comfy chair to curl up in and read outside. Overall, we would love to stay again and would highly recommend.

This was a last minute change from a previously booked VRBO that was beyond disappointing, Jennifer saved our trip. She has excellent communication, unbelievably swift responses, and 131 Driftwood was our favorite beach house we have booked in the area (4th trip here). I could not recommend Jennifer and the beach house enough.
