About this chalet rental
Situated in Asheville, this charming chalet for $87 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Your own private suite, spa bath, double shower, lounging area, eating area, private entrance, deck, and fire pit for our guests. Our guests confirm that WE ARE CLOSE TO EVERYTHING! As we move into our ninth year with Vacation Rentals, our goal remains the same: To provide our guests with a safe location to stay and super clean accommodations. We use the recommendations of the CDC for disinfecting between each visiting guest. We use plush towels, hand towels, and wash cloths. We have three new features to ensure our guests have an exceptional time in Asheville. First, we have added a fire pit with supplied fire wood provided as an optional feature and for a slight additional fee. Second, we now have a whole house generator so our guests have an uninterrupted power source while here. And, third, we just installed a new mini-split air conditioning unit so guests have complete control over their room temperature and can be comfortable year around. When you stay with us, we look out for you…we turn on extra lights when you come and go and we’ll help you with anything you might need while you’re here. As many of our guests have stated in their reviews, we are close and easily accessible to everything in the Asheville area. In addition to Asheville, we’re midway between Black Mountain and Cherokee in the Great Smoky Mountains. Many of our guests have commented that our suite is bigger than the picture looks – it is over 500 square feet! We offer high-end bedding with a NEW pillow-top mattress, separate seating area, a dining table, hotel quality bath linens and bath amenities, large spa tub bath and separate double shower, and private deck/porch with lovely views of the mountains. Paved entrance and reserved parking allow guests to come & go as they please. For your entertainment while lounging in your seating area or from your bed, we offer Charter Spectrum Live Streaming Television, Hulu, Prime Video, Paramount Plus, and others. For your listening pleasure, Spectrum offers multiple music channels, and free WIFI. Also in the suite is a DVD player, microwave oven, Keurig Coffee Maker, and refrigerator/freezer. Uber Cab and Lyfte are available to and from the location at 72 Candler Knob Road, Asheville. 28806. We have well over 300 five-star reviews from VRBO and other rental sites. We arrived at around 9pm Christmas day! Our hosts called ahead to a Chinese restaurant to make it was open for takeout . Even at the late hour they greeted us from the porch. The property is as described and very clean. This pair are experienced hosts, by all means, ask them anything they know everything . We were close to everything we wanted to do and very pleased. The only drawback is the approach to the neighborhood which can look a little rundown. The property itself, however, is impeccably kept.

My husband and I stayed at Top O’ The Knob for our babymoon vacation while we explored the surrounding area of Asheville, North Carolina. Ken and Patti were wonderful hosts! They communicated well with us leading up to our arrival. Once we arrived, they met with us and told us about some favorite spots around the area. They also had plenty of materials in the room listing places to visit and eat in Asheville, which was very helpful. Their chalet was roomy and cozy! We were certainly comfortable during our stay.

We absolutely loved the warm, intimate and cozy feel of the place amidst nature which was a much-needed break from the monotony of city life. Patti and Ken's thoughtful gesture of trying to ensure we have a safe arrival following up with a brief introduction to Asheville added a personal touch to our stay. If we ever find ourselves planning a visit to Asheville, we sure would think of their place and would recommend to our family and friends as well. We definitely felt at home and rested.

We had the best time in Asheville and did so much in the short weekend we stayed. Top O’ the Knob was very cute and quaint. I would love to come back in the fall because we could see mountains through the trees but without leaves, I’m sure it’s even more beautiful. Patti has a beautiful garden to view during summer months though and even offered some fruits from her garden. The bed is amazing by the way! And patti and ken were great hosts with a lot of information and recommendations. I would definitely stay again!

Ken and Patti's place was everything you could possibly hope for in a VRBO and more! The communication from them was thorough and prompt from the moment we booked the place, and they responded immediately to any texts we sent while staying there. When we arrived, they provided some great suggestions for ways we could explore Asheville.
Location was ideal: far enough away that you felt like you were in a mountain retreat, but close enough that you could be anywhere in Asheville in under 15 minutes, even with rush hour traffic!
I agree with all of the other reviewers who mentioned that the room feels even bigger than the pictures indicate. The mattress was super-comfortable, and Ken and Patti have anticipated every need: there were Keurig pods, creamer, a variety of sweeteners, cups, mugs, wine glasses, etc. The west-facing covered porch was a perfect location to drink our afternoon coffee one rainy afternoon and to watch the sunset in the evenings.

Perfect for a weekend getaway. Close to town and restaurants. We came to tour the Biltmore and this house was minutes away. The view was great. No kitchen so no cooking, which was fine. Small fridge and microwave and everything we needed.

Me and my partner had a great time staying at Top O' The Knob with Ken and Patti. It was very nice of them to introduce themselves and the suite had so many recommendations and directions for around town. We really enjoyed our stay all around. The room was larger than anticipatedand. We really enjoyed the covered porch and the jacuzzi tub. We were close to downtown but also felt like we got the mountain cabin experience. Ken and Patti were very nice and friendly but also allowed us our privacy. Definitely recommend if you're staying near Asheville, and we'll certainly be back. Thank y'all!
