About this condo rental

Nestled in Kaanapali, this charming condo for $904 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. There will be a paint/spall project commencing on 8/19/2024 until the first half of 2025. All units ending in “02” are currently scheduled to be directly impacted: 8/19 to 9/13/24: use of the ocean facing lanai will limited during the day on weekdays. 9/16 to 10/25/24: use of the north facing lanai will be limited during the day on weekdays. There will also be noise from the spalling. Based on the experience in the other building last year, noise was only an issue if people stayed in the condo a lot during the day (such as one working remotely). Rates have been adjusted to compensate the guest for any inconvenience. Rates will be reduced an additional $200/night for days the ocean facing lanai is actually impacted and $100/night for days the north facing lanai is actually impacted (one or the other, not 2 reductions). Whaler #502 is a two bedroom/two bathroom, ocean front condominium on the fifth floor of the north tower, Tower #1, at the Whaler on Kaanapali Beach ... you can stand on the lanai, throw a tennis ball and hit the beach. It is large (1,950 sq. ft. including the wrap around lanai, 1,440 sq. ft. interior), can accommodate up to five people and has the following bedding: King bed - master bedroom, Two Queen beds - second bedroom. There is no sofa bed in the living room for Guest use. The Whaler on Kaanapali Beach, also sometimes referred to as Aston at the Whaler on Kaanapali Beach, is a luxury beachfront condominium resort located directly on World-Famous Kaanapali Beach, next to Whalers Village Shopping Center, on the West Coast of Maui between Lahaina and Kapalua. The front desk is managed by Aston, which also manages/rents about one third of the condos. Other units are rented by owners directly to guests. Our condo, Whaler #502, features central air-conditioning, a washer/dryer in the condo for guest use (many Whaler condos do not have a washer/dryer inside the condo), a fully equipped remodeled kitchen with granite countertops, custom cabinets, Sub-Zero, Bosch and GE appliances, three flat-panel TVs (Samsung 60" TV in the living room and a Sony 46" TV in each bedroom), cable TV, free WI-Fi Internet, Tommy Bahama beach chairs, beach towels at the pool, tennis courts and more. No pets. No smoking. Maximum Occupancy: 5 people (children of any age count as a person). Check-out: 11:00 AM. Check-in: 4:00 PM Arrival/Departure maid service provided. Additional maid service may be available at additional cost. Amenity Fee payable to the front desk (plus tax) - $33/night, $35/night effective 4/1/2025. Additional Information About Rental Rates (requiring a manual adjustment to any booking request): a) Rates are for a back-to-back booking (an arrival on the day the prior guest departs or departure on the day the next guest arrives) and a 7-night minimum stay, except during the Holiday Season when the rate is for a 14-night minimum stay, as outlined in (c), below. We come every January to watch the humpback from Alaska come jump and play in front of Maui! The fifth story corner view does not disappoint! Beautiful condo great location walk to Hula Grill, monkey pot, black rock, , whaler village! We will definitely return! The owner was easy to talk to and very accommodating to our needs! the population of tourist is low right now on Maui. They need your vacation monies, pack your bags, and head on over!

This room was perfect! The views from every room are amazing. The wrap-around lanai offers views of the ocean AND the mountains, and was a perfect place to enjoy coffee in the mornings and cocktails at night. The condo is beautifully updated, well-appointed and maintained – and clean. The owner communicated with clear instructions about all major items and offered assistance if we needed anything (we did not need a thing). Additionally, the owner provided lagniappe in the form of the essentials that are often forgotten at the store such as paper towels, laundry pods, etc. To top it all off, the sea life was on display – the sea turtles swam by daily and the spinner dolphins made a run several days. Our experience staying here was absolutely perfect!

First time at the Whaler, but not the last. Was concerned since we hadn't been before, but it was fantastic. We were here along with 4 other families for a wedding (they had 3 condos on the 1st floor). Some of the features: The fifth floor view is perfect. You're up just high enough to be at the right eyeline for palms, and activity up and down the beach, but not too far that you feel "disconnected" from your friends on the beach. Also, right over the grill area so easy to tell if there's a free spot (hard to light the grills, but really clutch). We rented the dug-in umbrellas a couple of days, and they placed them within ear shot of our balcony, which made coordination easy with a big group. Very nice. Their free chairs for guests on the beach meant we didn't need to haul down the tommy bahama chairs from the condo. We hosted a small get-together one night for drinks and sunset. Then watched Moana (obviously) on the big screen. The rooms and beds were super comfortable. Wall-to-wall carpet was soft and made the place cozy. Enjoyed making breakfast and eating out on the balcony each morning. Got to know the rhythm of the catamarans in-and-out. Easy to park under the buildling with all the recycling and trash close at hand. Small shopping carts make it easy to haul stuff up and down. And ABC store (and Tommy Bahama) are just steps away if you ask the front desk for the secret entrance. We got a lot of use out of the tennis courts in the back.

Our stay was wonderful. The property was excellent and the location was perfect for our family. Communication with the owner was wonderful and he checked in to make sure everything was well during our stay. Will definitely recommend to friends and family and stay here again on our next trip back to the island.

The condo was so clean, comfortable, and had great ocean views with a huge wrap around balcony. Restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Everything you would need inside the condo for making your own meals as well. Our first time to Maui and it didn't disappoint. We would love to come back and be a repeat renter in this unit. In our opinion it doesn't get any better. Any questions we had the owner was so prompt in answering all of them.
