Located in Marathon, this charming house for $625 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. This spacious property sits directly on the Gulf. Most rooms in the house has views of the Ocean. The deep water dock allows you to bring and dock your own boat. All the rooms are extra spacious and provide a restful retreat after your busy day. Just imagine waking up making coffee in your own room and sitting outside your deck to the beautiful Gulf Waters, a dream come true. It's Paradise . Slip away into breathtaking views, gulf breezes and access to swimming right off our deck and dock. Explore our crystal clear waters. Part of the experience includes Kayaking (included 2 doubles with life vests) right from our steps. Relax in the Sun, use the 10 foot Jacuzzi Spa, and wait for the extraordinary sunsets that change by the minute. Beauty and relaxation surround you without ever leaving the property. However, your vacation will most certainly be enhanced by taking in some of the most notable beaches, restaurants, and shopping. We personally love the Old Seven Mile bridge that offers, walking and biking with unforgettable views. Sombrero Reef is beautiful for snorkeling or swimming and its about 3 miles off-shore. There are several other snorkeling diving sites in Marathon. Marathon has two beaches. Sombrero beach which is beautiful during the winter months. There is also Cocoplum Beach, which is a natural beach. We recommend a drive to Bahia Honda State Park where there are beaches on both the Ocean and Gulf sides. There are many different areas you can go to from our property. In addition, there is a great community park with tennis courts, basketball/hockey courts, skateboarding, soccer fields. baseball fields, shuffleboard courts, boccie ball, picnic areas etc. Marathon is also full of great restaurants and bars, a movie theater and a live theater with performances throughout the year. As a side note, some of the restaurants will be an experience in itself. Great food and ambiance that provide great entertainment and flavors for you palate. Home features high Speed WIFI, Living Area with its own TV, Blue Ray player and Sound System for both indoor and outdoor listening pleasure. A Comfortable sofa with a lounge chair, a reclining chair and a chair with an ottoman. The Dinning Room sits 8-10 Next to the dinning room and kitchen is the bar high Breakfast table with 4 stools. The Kitchen features glass tiles, stainless steel refrigerator, dishwasher and double oven gas stove and corian counters. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pans and all cooking accouterments necessary for a cooking feast. The home also features a full size washer and dryer, an Iron and Ironing board. The Bedrooms: Master Suite Number 1- The Periwinkle Room, features, a King size bed, a window seat and two comfy chairs for looking out to the beautiful gulf. It has its own coffee maker, refrigerator, television and blow-dryer. A custom made walk-in-closet and its own en-suite bathroom with double vanity sinks and a shower. It also has its own deck outside the double doors. This master suite is also adjacent to the outdoor screened Porch with outdoor dinning, seating and the Spa. Master Suite Number 2-Sea Foam Room, features a King Size Bed, a Dresser, Two closets, a Futon Sofa, an en-suite bathroom with a tub/shower combination, a coffee maker, TV and Blow dryer, a linen closet and its own deck overlooking the Gulf. The Key-lime room, with its own separate entrance off the main home hallway, features a Queen size bed, a Futon Sofa, and an en-suite door to a shared bathroom, a large closet, a desk/vanity area with a lighted mirror, a blow-dryer(in hallway closet) and a TV. This room also features Gulf views through Sliding Glass doors shared with the Ocean Blue Room, the sliding doors can be tucked into the wall for an open feel or can be locked for privacy,It also features privacy and sound barrier curtains. The Ocean Blue room, has a separate entrance through the living area of the home. It features Captains Beds, that can be used as two King Beds or 4 Twin Beds. This room has its own TV, Games, Closet, Dresser and floor chairs. The outdoors is where it is at you have swimming access to the clear Gulf Waters. Deep Water Dock, with dockage for your boat. 2 Kayaks which can be launched into the water with the use of ropes. snorkel gear, beach towels, lounge hairs and outdoor adirondack chairs.

Loved our stay! Numerous seating areas. The indoor hot tub is a super nice bonus. Dolphins came by several times as well as a manatee. Numerous fish around the dock. Love the location.

This house and all its amenities are fabulous. What you see on the VBRO website is exactly what you will experience. I can’t say enough about our family 2023 Christmas. Such wonderful memories were made. We are very grateful to these owners for sharing their piece of paradise!

My husband and I, two other couples and my elderly parents enjoyed a wonderful week despite the weather. Beautiful sunsets and a perfect location for our boat with a nice dock. Great pool and tiki hut. Thank goodness for the inside spa because the weather was bad. We had 1.5 days of sun but with the layout of the house and size no one was on top of each other. Comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen and lots to do in the area makes it another great option in the keys. The only part we felt lacking was a second fridge would have been nice. With 4 couples who all cook and we don’t eat out, we could have used the space. But next time we know and can adjust our packing and shopping. Because we will be back for sure!

Our overall stay was great. Our 11 yr old grandson walked in, saw the ocean and said “I’m very happy, very happy!”
Couple of hiccups. Kayaks were missing, we looked everywhere we could think of but no luck, I finally contacted Maria, only to be told they were out for repair and would arrive in the morning. A heads up on the this would have been nice. They actually weren’t delivered back to the house until late Monday afternoon.
The next item was the pool, no pool cleaning during the week and we couldn’t find a slimmer to clean ourselves Family had a great time in Key West one day, but the rest were spent at the house

Such a beautiful tropical oasis! This home and property is absolutely stunning! There were 6 of us, my husband and myself and our two adult children and their girlfriends. It was plenty big for us all and we each had our own area! The views are spectacular! Also the underwater light under the dock brought out all kinds of fish. We were really hoping to see a manatee or dolphin like others have seen before us, but you can’t control nature! We did rent a boat with their dock space and went out everyday in the Gulf and Atlantic! The pool is perfect along with two jacuzzi’s! The little tiki hut area for grilling was perfect and this house has a ton of amenities! Kayaks, fishing poles, places to clean fish, and places to put your bait! The kitchen is well stocked and the area is close by restaurants and groceries! I can’t recommend this place enough! We will definitely be back!

We rented this property for our family and friends for the week of our sons wedding in The Keys. We could not be more delighted! The photos don't do it justice! The views are breathtaking! Everything was perfect! Plenty of room for everyone (there was 10 of us). House was very clean! Pool, hot tub was delightful. Kids loved taking advantage of the fishing poles and kayaks to explore the area. Tiki was a perfect place for us all to relax in the evening. Maria was a joy to deal with! Definitely recommend!

The property was absolutely amazing. There were things for the kids to do, things for the adults to do. The dock and water was perfect for fishing. We caught tons of fish every day. You can snorkel right off the dock. The house was very well stocked and had everything we needed even with backups for things we forgot. The host was very easy to work with as well. We plan to come back.

The house was perfect with everything you need for a week and plenty of space for two families. Communication with the owner was easy. Location was perfect to explore the entire Florida Keys from Key Largo to Key West. Sunsets definitely did not disappoint. Saw parrotfish, manatees, barracudas, nurse sharks and more from the dock. Beautiful home and I hope to get to visit again!

I can't rave enough about this house, it was completely stocked, very clean and absolutely gorgeous. The owner is wonderful and communicated in a timely manner. The view is breathtaking and I can do the sunsets all day I think I was hypnotized by them. My kids loved the pool I think my oldest went all week without a phone which in itself was awesome. Do yourself a favor and rent this house for a week we had a blast and plan on booking again.

This property has it all. The location cannot be beat and the amenities serve your every need - kayaks with life vests, snorkeling equipment we used for lobstering, toiletries in case you left anything at home, and outdoor fans to keep you comfortable.
We rented a 27ft boat and the dock layout was great. The underwater lights were perfect for night fishing and we saw tarpon, sharks, sailcats, and a manatee. We stayed for two weeks and did not elwant to head home. We would come again and this was our second stay.

4th year staying at "Sunsets on the Gulf" and again, it did not disappoint! Our family of 6 adults and 3 children had another fantastic week at this beautiful location with 180degree views of the Gulf from the pool, Tiki Hut, dock or relaxing back yard. The inside is very nicely appointed, with ample & comfortable room for a big family and has everything you could possibly need for your stay. We love staying at Maria's home, located in a central location of Marathon, and can't wait until our next return!!

This house is so perfectly stocked with everything you will need for an amazing beach vacation. Everything is labeled and easy to locate within the house. The accommodations are comfortable and the amenities are fabulous! This is our second time staying here and we can't wait to come back. The house is set up to comfortably accommodate young kids, older adults, and everyone in between. We were easily able to dock our rental boat during our stay. Our son is an avid fisherman and didn't stop fishing off the dock the entire time. He has many fish stories to tell after this trip, including catching a huge tarpon off the dock. The layout of the house allows for everyone to gather with ease. My kids loved the "kid room" and the beds that pull out into two kings. The owners did a fantastic job with furnishing the outdoor spaces with high end polywood furniture. We honestly felt like we were at home during our stay. I enjoyed morning walks around the neighborhood and loved how easy it was to get to the grocery store. I cannot recommend this house enough and we will absolutely be back.

The backyard area was absolutely amazing. We spent 95% of our time out there. The water and the sunsets could not have been better. The pool, the tiki hut, the furniture, and the dock was perfect.

This is our second time staying at Sunsets on the Gulf and enjoyed our time just as much (if. not more). Property is on gulf with amazing views and sunsets. With direct access to gulf we got to kayak, paddle board, and fish. (We rented the paddle boards.). The house is perfect for two families and is clean. Owner is responsive and super helpful with anything that comes up. We enjoyed our stay!

Our trip here with 4 adults and three children under 12 was fabulous once again. I believe this was our fourth time here, and we’re still in love. Maria was very quick and responsive to fix one small issue, which we really appreciated. If you have a boat, there is so much to do on the water and finally the winds cooperated for us to do so this year. Even without a boat, the marine life around the shore and dock is quite amazing. Lobsters, sharks, tons of fish, dolphins, tarpon, barracuda, crabs, and the list goes on and on. We’ll be back again for sure!

This was by far the best house in Marathon that I have rented thus far. The sunrise and sunsets are amazing! We didn’t use the living room once we sat in the screened porch or outside under the tiki hut the entire week. We feed the fish a chum block for snorkeling right off the dock along with dolphins sightings. We will return every year!

This is a beautiful place! The house is very clean. The best part is the outside, where you will spend most of your time. From sitting under the tiki hut, using the pool, or sitting on the dock looking at the amazing view. We saw dolphins, manatees, and stingrays. Maria was so helpful if we had a question. There were 6 adults (3 couples). We each had our own bedroom and bath, but the rooms are located so you feel like you have your own section of the house. We couldn’t hear each others TVs at all. The rooms are spacious and the beds are so comfortable. The neighborhood is very nice and very quiet. We spent all of our time on the back patio, boat dock, and back porch. We couldn’t turn down that view! Even on the one night we had clouds, the sunset was still amazing!
The kitchen was very well equipped with all the things we needed and there are plenty of pool toys and board games too. We are already trying to figure out a time to come back and we will definitely stay here again!!

We stayed with our 2 adult children and their families and it was perfect. We had our 28’ boat with us and the dockage was so easy. We only had one tiny glitch which was the pool chiller was not working (we got it working at some point but it never cooled the pool down). The kids stayed in the pool nonstop (they didn’t care what the temp was LOL). We would definitely book this house again!!!
