A lovely hidden gem in Mukilteo with a gorgeous view of the Sound, Whidbey Island and Mount Baker in the background from the back. This house has the charm of a Grandma's house with comfy furnishings and modern amenities in the kitchen along with all the dishes and cooking utensils you would need. We had a group for dinners on the huge deck that extends the living area to the outdoors. Nice seating arrangements and a grill. Our grandchildren were enamored with the croquet set and the yard with a glider out front and the large backyard to run in. The house was clean on arrival and offered a washer/dryer in the basement. The proprietor was attentive and available during the stay. I would certainly stay again if I didn't live on the East Coast!

The property was very beautiful. It feels private, quiet, and secluded. The deck overlooking the sound is stunning, and the occasional bunny was a wonderful surprise. However, the communication with the host left more to be desired. We were given the wrong address (house number), and the host number had a missing digit. Once we figured out what the number was and called, it went straight to voicemail. Not a great start. The other number also went to voicemail as well. We were having trouble connecting to the internet. The host was very slow to respond (7-8 hours). We finally used the internet password on the Xfinity box (not the one provided by host) and we’re able to connect. Other than that, the house was charming and quaint. There was a strong smell of stale cigarette smoke in the entry area, but the rest of the house didn’t have that problem. It’s a little cold and drafty downstairs, but the upstairs bedrooms were surprisingly warm, the beds comfortable, and the jetted tub superb!! The house had a wonderful “coming over to grandmas” feel :) overall, it’s a great spot. Mukilteo is a great area, and is pretty central to everything you may want to do in the greater Seattle area.
