Located in Carmel by the Sea, this lovely house for $707 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Perfect peaceful family getaway or reunion location. Sit and enjoy the gardens while listening to the waves crash on nearby Carmel Beaches. You have a choice ... We are 6 mins walk from the main Carmel Beach and 9 mins from the Carmel River State Beach. Our home is a 1750 sqft 3bed / 2bath beach-home with high ceilings and wall to wall LIGHT! It's tastefully appointed to help you immerse yourself in a California beach experience. There's lots of living, cooking and 'kids play' space inside and outside the home. There's comfortable dining and sitting space for 8 in the living room, the dining room and on the back patio. We have 4 flat screen TVs, with Netflix and Amazon Prime. There is a 3D TV with 9 viewing glasses, a 3D DVD player, video library and some 3D movies! Broadband Wifi reaches all areas of the house. There is a professional 6-speaker discrete in-ceiling system. We have a small library and the gas fireplace is remote controlled. Relaxing after a long day is easy when every bed is a memory foam mattress. Waking up, enjoy the roses, citrus trees and succulent gardens with your coffee. In short, the typical Carmel paradise. Don't be surprised to be sharing it with hummingbirds, squirrels and blue jays. The young kids will love the double bunk bed room and a secret bonus room filled with goodies! The Mission Ranch Hotel and Restaurant (owned by Clint Eastwood) is a fantastic restaurant to have 200 yards from the front door. It has a Piano Bar as well as outdoor seating to watch the sunsets and the sheep! The Sunday Brunch is highly recommended ! Less than a mile (0.9miles/20mins walk) away is the shopping and restaurants of 'Carmel by the Sea' on Ocean Avenue. For an extra 5 mins you can walk back via Scenic Drive overlooking the Carmel beach. Nearby is Point Lobos State Reserve. We recommend a 5min drive and park on the road by the entrance and then walk in. It's beaches are so beautiful several movie beach scenes have been filmed there. The famous Carmel Mission, and Mission Trail Park are also about half a mile walk. Beautiful beaches and coastal paths extend for 3 miles past Carmel River State Beach towards Point Lobos and are walkable from the house if the river does not cut through the beach

We loved our stay in this beautiful house in the heart of Carmel-by-the-Sea. The house was perfect for our needs and we loved being able to walk easily to the beach. This house is perfect for kids. Our daughter was beside herself when she saw the playroom. Lots of hours spent playing in this great place. Thank you, June and Paul!

Good beds, lovely backyard for enjoying a meal. Smart TV made it easy to watch the US Open. It was an easy walk down to the beach or downtown. The home was well decorated and equipped. We'd definitely book this home again next time we head to Carmel.

My family of four adults recently enjoyed a four-night stay at the Tranquility in Carmel. The house was just as represented. Plenty of room for us all to have our own space and great common areas and patio seating as well. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. We loved the plants in the yard and short walks to the beach. June and Paul were super responsive and a pleasure to deal with. Check in/out was seamless. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

We had an incredible stay with two couples and four young kids (3-7). The setup was perfect with double bunks in one room and the adjacent play room to the kids room was a game changer. Layout of the home was perfect, and setup was very kid friendly. Would 10/10 recommend for young families!

We had a very nice stay. The house is comfortable with lots of room to spread out and the outdoors space is beautiful. The neighborhood is very quiet, just a short walk down nice streets to get to two different beaches.

Due to being busy with a daughter’s wedding at Carmel Mission and reception at Mission Ranch, didn’t get to spend time at the home other than sleeping. Definitely a home meant to enjoy and stay a while. Will definitely try to find a reason to visit again soon.

Nice house. Pleasant. Needs deep dusting. Front door closet and closet in master bedroom had musty smells. Kept the former closed and sealed as best we could, and kept the bedroom glass door cracked open. Needs all new fronts on built-in room heaters which look ratty and don’t work anyway. No heat in playroom and in one bathroom. Five stars overall if smell isn’t a problem for you.

Carmel Tranquillity ticked off all the boxes. It is a unique home in a unique and safe area, that is especially walker friendly. We walked to town and the beach every day. The cottage, inside and out, could be right off the pages of a Coastal Living Magazine. We especially appreciated the multitude of windows and skylights that kept the interior nice and bright even on the cloudiest days. The comfortable bedrooms are situated in a way to maximize privacy for multiple couples, or like us, a multi generational group. Our party included a 9 month old, and Baby Quip Rentals Monterey (Jenny & Kylie List) came in and set up everything we needed baby wise. Once the baby is older, the bunk room & play room would be a perfect fit. The home is well appointed, super quiet, and peaceful. The front and rear gardens are an added visual added bonus. We sincerely appreciate the memories made there.

The property was exactly what we needed. House has everything we needed, plenty of space to hang out as a family, kitchen was stocked up with all that we would need to cook breakfast or dinner. The location of the house couldn't be better. Walking distance to the beach and Ocean Ave but without the crowds of either. House was clean and the beds and furniture comfortable, tv and speakers for music were easy to use. Just a great place to stay.

Cute beach cottage. Perfect walk to Carmel River Beach to watch the sunset. Definitely on the outskirts of the main commercial district of Carmel-by-the-Sea which made it very quiet and peaceful.

The location was near two beaches and our grandchildren loved all the beach toys. The kitchen was undersupplied, with barely 6 dinner forks and 2 wine glasses with stems. There was no coffee grinder nor a tea kettle to boil water. Some dishes were left in the dish washer that had not been washed with the soap pod unused.

It was what we expected from the photos & descriptions. Very nice and had everything we needed. The layout was great, really nice bedroom set up. The location was perfect to the beach, but a bit of an uphill walk to the restaurants. Would stay again if we had the opportunity.
