Nestled in Holualoa, this lovely condo for $116 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. vrKCV - Casa de Emdeko 121, Professionally Managed by Kona Coast Vacations This ocean front complex is a wonderful location for your island stay! There are two pools, one salt water and one fresh water. There is a man made beach area for relaxing, and a common BBQ, eating area. This is a great place to watch the sunsets and talk story with other guests. This one bedroom, one bathroom condo is located on the ground level, has a lovely view of the tropical landscaping, and offers easy access to the common grounds from your lanai. The condo has recent renovations ('21) with new tile throughout, and a large bathroom shower. Air-conditioned and centrally located, Casa de Emdeko 121 will make a great home base while exploring the island. The bedroom has a King Bed, TV and a ceiling fan. There is a shared Coin-op washer/dryer on-site. Kona offers countless fun-filled activities year around. There simply is not a time of year that isn't perfect to be on the Big Island of Hawaii! Casa De Emdeko is conveniently located approximately 1.5 miles south of historic downtown Kona. Visit the Hulihee Palace, Mokuaikaua Church, or Kamakahonu National Historic Landmark. Dine out at one of the many great restaurants. Just a short drive to either the north or south will reveal Hawaii's wonderful west coast beaches. *Please note that this complex has frequent temporary water shut offs. There will be no compensation for water shut offs. Minimum night varies seasonally between 4 - 10 nights. Quiet, clean, convenient. Exceptionally comfortable bed. No washer dryer in unit, but laundry facilities only steps away. Very accurately depicted on VRBO.

This unit was comfortable, clean and a convenient location from town, which made it great for IM World Championship weekend! My favorite part was the amenities - the oceanside pool was absolutely lovely, and watching the sunset from the property each night was spectacular. Thank you so much for the incredible stay!

The appartment is located a bit south of the city center of Kona so that you will need your car for getting to the bars and restaurants of the area. It is embedded in a beautiful condo that comes with two pools, one fresh water and one sea water pool. They have even created a small, artificial beach where you can rest, however the appartment doesn´t have direct access to the sea. For me the whole garden and beach area was the highlight of this property. The appartment is located at the ground floor, is a bit dark and mouldy. It is also a bit worn out, the kitchen floor has a couple of holes in it. The kitchen is really big and well equipped. The whole booking procedure is rather complicated, as you will get lots of documents from the actual property owner Kona Coast vacations. They are very strict on the house rules, you can´t leave anything (not even towels or shoes) outside on the terrace and they will threaten you with a high penalty in case you should damage anything. Although the appartment wasn´t bad, I think that the price is too high for what it offers.

We had a wonderful time at casa de Emdeko. The place is so peaceful with 2 pools and direct sea views. Very quiet with respectful people. Easy parking easy arrival procedures. Only thing is soundproofing from people walking upstairs. Would definitively come back.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay and will be back! It was easy to find & we appreciated that the property was gated & that the door had a key pad! No keys to worry about losing and easy entry into the pools! The kitchen was equipped with the basics. Beach towels, umbrella, sand toys provided. Cable TV & other streaming services provided. Great location minutes outside of downtown Kona! We loved being ground floor & able to walk around on a whim. Sunsets are GORGEOUS out on the sandy overlook! Outside the patio there is a waterfall and it creates a great ambiance when sitting on the comfy patio set. Enjoyed the community library! The grounds are well kept and beautiful! The 2 pools are fabulous but the one next to the ocean is enough reason to stay here!
Small things that could be improved:
-Cleaning. Floors were a bit dirty upon arrival. Toilet paper roll had been wet at some point but still installed on the roller which just gave us a yucky first impression.
-Maintenance. Many things are worn & we absolutely wouldn't expect perfection in a high volume rental but one days work with some paint, scrubbing, and minor handy work could do wonders.
-Sharp knives.
-Cooking essentials get stripped after each guest. Meaning there is absolutely no salt, pepper, cooking oil, etc (but they warn you ahead about this).
In our 3+ weeks, we grew to love it here. It ended up perfect for our stay & our first choice when returning! Very charming!

This is the second time we've stayed in this facility (different condos). The lanais are excellent and relaxing. The ocean is just a short walk down a path as are fresh and ocean pools for swimming. The condos are specious and functional.

We loved the beach and the pool overlooking the ocean. The grounds were beautiful and seemed to be well taken care of. The unit had every thing we needed.

The property is in a really great location, easy to get to restaurants or outdoor activities. We also spent time at the awesome salt water pool and relaxing shaded beach area, watching the ocean. The unit was very clean and contained everything we needed to prepare food in the kitchen. The king-sized bed was very comfortable. Although not fancy, the unit was very comfortable. We had a very nice stay.

Comfortable stay, outdated and could use drapes in the bedroom as the bedroom faces the parking lot. We stayed on
the ground floor so you will hear the noise ubove from walking around. Great Salt water pool and gorgeous sunsets. Conveniently close to everything. Everyone was super friendly. Great memories.

We have stayed at the Casa de Emdeko several times but this condo was disappointing in its location. There is NO view and because it sits next to two of the properties fountains the artificial water noise drowned out the ocean. I would not recommend this unit to friends. While the unit was overall clean, the floors were not - someone forgot to mop and I felt I had to clean them before we were comfortable. The bed is great and we liked the walk-in shower, also there were beach chairs and a board which was appreciated.

Suggested three additions to stuff on hand…a permanent Blu Ray player (Kona Coast provided one); two beach chairs and a good sized screw in beach umbrella with UVP for excursions on the island; and sun screens outside like most other units on the sunny side. But do not mistake these little additions from not wanting this place…we just rented it for 8 weeks in 2016 and would have gone for 12 if it was available. Everything about the CASAas a whole is incredible - that is why we have book our 6th trip!!
