About this cottage rental

Located in Lummi Island, this attractive cottage for $199 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. *PLEASE NOTE* OUR FERRY GOES TO DRY DOCK ANNUALLY. THIS MEANS WE HAVE A THREE WEEK PERIOD WHERE WE HAVE A PASSENGER ONLY FERRY. THE DATES FOR 2024 WILL BE 5/18-6/15. This charming, historic, and beautifully appointed beachfront house features two bedrooms (one room with an attached bath has a Queen bed and another room with a single bed) and sleeps three. The cottage is stocked with everything you will need for an easy getaway. Enjoy the large deck overlooking the breathtaking views of Mt. Baker and the Sisters, watch the ferry, the Whatcom Chief, sail back and forth, take a soak in the deep tub, read by the fireplace, put your kayak in the water, and adventure, or go for a bike ride or hike. You will find yourself within walking distance of the local Beach Store Cafe (just across the street but please check the website to see hours of operation as they are limited), and the local grocery store. Conveniently located only a five-minute walk to the ferry and on the picturesque 7-mile loop which is great for walking and bike riding. Despite the proximity to Vancouver BC and Seattle, Lummi Island feels like it is a 'world away'. The Beach House was built in 1933 and has a long history on Lummi Island, and at one time served as the local library. With a complete Sunset Magazine-worthy remodel couldn't be sweeter.

We loved everything about our stay. The home was well equipped, clean and cozy. The view was absolutely amazing. We will definitely be back! Next time it will be for a week! Thank you for sharing your home with my husband and I!

Getting to the island was easy, we never had any problems getting on the ferry. In the off season (end of September) not much was happening/open on the island. However, we were able to get food at the local mini mart and try local fish and chips at a mom and pop shop. The beach house was very comfortable, clean, and stocked with all necessities. The fireplace was cozy, the views were amazing and I relaxed nicely in the bathtub. ☺️

The landscaping greets you as you are welcomed into a charming home. It is well appointed,comfortable and peaceful. We stayed a week. We found the kitchen had everything we needed and very functional (we enjoy cooking). We made all of our meals. Best view ever to brew coffee and wash a couple of dishes. We walked to Full Bloom Farm several times for eggs, veggies and fruit. Highly recommended. The island is a place to kick back. We enjoyed hiking and lounging on the deck.Lovely community. You feel it.

The beach house had everything we needed for a relaxing, comfortable getaway. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the Islander store in one direction and the Curry Preserve in the other. We fell in love with Lummi Island and look forward to coming back!

Angie was an excellent host, super responsive and helpful. The home is beautiful, loved the setting and being able to watch the ferry, birds, seals, and incredible clouds all day.
