About this cabin rental
Situated in Castle Rock Lake, this attractive cabin for $552 per night is a great option for your next trip. Welcome to our custom built cabin situated on a 2 acre deeply wooded lot, on the western shores of the Castle Rock Lake. Definitely one of the most prominent locations of the lake! With over 3600 square feet of spaciousness, our home sleeps up to 12 guests without compromising the privacy or comfort. This three level, tastefully decorated cabin is located directly off water, and only a 5 minute walking distance to the lake and the beach. The design of this home has been featured in a number of log home magazines including Log Home Living, Country's Best Log Homes, Log Home Design Ideas and Log Home Illustrated. Built in 2005, the house features all up-to date conveniences including fully equipped kitchen with solid hickory cabinets, stainless steel appliances and granite counter-tops. Large peninsula provides additional sitting and casual dining options for six. Sound proofing between the main level and lower walked out level, whole house humidifier, air filtration system and water softener makes this house even more comfortable. Secured wireless internet WIFI access, as well as phone land line with free local calls are also included in rental. The main floor open concept design features great room with 42' flat screen HDTV above stone wood burning fireplace, wall of viewing windows, sliding door to the deck, hardwood floors and 25 foot vaulted ceiling. Two bedrooms (both with queen size beds), two bathrooms and laundry room with Maytag stackable washer/dryer completes the main floor. Hand hewn stairway connects the main floor to the loft overlooking a great room. On this level the guests can find two full size futons, flat screen TV and siting area perfect for relaxing, movie watching, game of cards or just quite reading. The walk-out lower level game lounge features a TV area with 55' flat screen TV, ping pong table and large selection of board games. Two additional bedrooms (one with king size and one queen size beds) plus two bathrooms complete the lover level of the house. With several gathering areas indoor and outdoor, this home is an ideal retreat for several families or a family reunion. In the summer enjoy grilling, sitting by the fire-pit or choose from wide variety of outdoor activities including boating, canoeing, kayaking (two new kayaks and canoe are included in rental), para-sailing, hiking, golfing, biking at the State Bike Trails or horseback riding. There are boat, pontoon and jet ski rentals as well as reasonable dock rental available very close by, less then a mile from the house. Just 30-minute drive to the Wisconsin Dells, where you can find entertainment for the entire family: water parks, mini golf, restaurants, bars, go-carts, movie theater..... there is something for everyone. In the winter skiing, sledding or snowboarding at two ski hills Cascade Mountain and Devil's Head both within 45 minutes distance, or snowmobiling with an easy access to the Juneau County marked snowmobile trails. There is a basket full of brochures with points of interest, places to see and things do in the Castle Rock Lake area. So whether you are looking for relaxing hideaway, an exciting place for outdoor activities or just passing through, we can accommodate your desires. We had a great time at the cabin. The pictures barely do it justice. Ursula was great to deal with and made check-in/check-out a breeze. The rustic cabin had all the amenities listed. We were able to rent a boat and dock it at The Dirty Turtle bar (7 minute drive) for $20. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Excellent cabin for family vacation. Great amenities for kids and adults. The beach within walking distance is not really a beach, but a shoreline. Castle Rock Park beach which is 5 min drive is a perfect beach for all. Beds are very comfortable. Lovely place to get away from it all!

Place was lovely but is not on the “lake
It is a 10 minute walk to access. It was nice to put beach chairs in the shallow waters Ursula was wonderful and the kitchen is stocked with pots and pans.

Thank you for a beautiful, clean and restful home in the woods. Our family had grand sons from 2 years old to 16 years old enjoying fishing, swimming and playing ball out side. We had a great week!

Listing is a bit misleading. It is not located on the lake and more of a walk than we expected.
But overall, we loved our stay here. Everything was very clean, and the beds were very comfy.

My family and I were looking for a quiet relaxing vacation. Last two years we drove to Yellowstone, Florida, and South Dakota for vacation. We all agreed we wanted something close and something easy. We looked at this cabin and decided to book. When the owner reached out almost immediately it was a nice touch. She explained the cabin, the location, activities etc. VERY informative. A few days before arriving she reached out again and sent a ton of info on local restaurants and activities. Full info on how to use the house and what was all available at the property, how to check out of the house etc.
When arriving the house was just as advertised. It was very clean and everything seemed in good working order. My only suggestions and this is not a complaint but the area around the fire pit could have been hit with a weed eater. Looks like the landscapers had mowed the yard but didn't do around the fire pit area. NOT a big deal but just a suggestion.
We spent four nights at this cabin and again it was great. We did two days of boating. I have a 8.12, and 15 year old kids and they absolutely loved tubing around the lake. Several bars and restaurants on the lake. We drove into the Dells to zip line, shop and eat. The drive to the Dells is quick and easy.
Overall summary. Cabin is spacious, clean, very well decorated, comfortable for at least 10 people if not more. The lake is beautiful and NOT crowded at all especially during the week. The area around the lake is not crammed full of houses. The restaurants and bars were never crowded etc.
I would rate our experience at a 10 out of 10 and would rent this again if we ever chose to come back.
