second time staying there, and will continue to do so on our trip there.
The only fault with the property, is a very crappy access road to get there from the main road. very uneven and hard to navigate in a low vehicle. unfortunately it is a shared access, so no one is likely to want to be the one to maintain it.

It was away from everything, so beautiful in surroundings and peaceful from the outside world. Perfect! It had everything you needed right there, best hotel food we had on our trip. It was so lovely to see their pets, well looked after and loved, awww Princess, and Vanessa. Oh and saw turtles from the beach front, amazing!!!!
Nothing not to like, it was a perfect end to our holiday to chill before getting on that long haul flight. Would have liked to stay an extra night, didn’t want to leave.

- The local staff is amazing, always smiling & extremely friendly. They went out of their way to organize things like trips or dives etc.
- Big probs to the dive master, went diving for the very first time & he was simply the best ever in explaining everything. Felt very safe & taken care of
- Loved the sea view from the balcony and the somewhat private beach
So without the local ppl it wouldn’t be the same, they really made the vibe there
From a 4 star resort, I think I just would have different expectations.
- The noise is really a thing. Dogs barking, roasters doing a show or people talking. Without earplugs it’s not really possible to sleep
- There are +4 dogs and +3 cats in the resort, which is generally nice bc I love animals. But not when I’m eating my dinner and the cat sits on the table next to the plate and the dog next to my chair to get a bite.
- In my opinion their pricing is a bit strange and not well communicated. When I buy a dive, I would expect everything to be included or to be told beforehand that there is an extra charge for apo island & also fee for gas. Same applies for the early checkout. When booking the hotel there is no information, after it says that it costs 500 PHP, simply for me leaving my room early and leaving the key in it.
- One night I had some kind of bed bugs and woke up with bites all over the body. After the linen was changed it went away, but clearly there was something wrong
- In the restaurant the food takes really long. One evening I waited 45 min for the main and another 35 for dessert, although there weren’t many ppl. And vegetarian options are a bit limited. Sadly I also said that I don’t eat meat while ordering the packed breakfast and then got pancakes with meat in it.
So those are things I would expect otherwise for that price, but ofc might be personal :)
