Situated in West Dennis, this charming cottage for $225 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Only 400 feet to West Dennis Beach (avoids $25/day beach parking fees!)!! This 2 bedroom cottage duplex which sleeps 5 is across from West Dennis Yacht Club and has a beautiful view of West Dennis Beach from front yard. For larger families, identical adjoining unit can be rented (based on availability). This cottage offers a beautiful outside patio with a picnic table that overlooks salt water inlet. Amenities includes: Cable/ High Def TV, Hi Speed Wifi Internet access, enclosed outdoor shower, and park-like charcoal grill. This cottage is privately owned and equipped for basic vacation needs. We stayed here on our family of four's first trip to Cape Cod and it worked out very well. The property is very close to the beach and in a nice residential area so it was easy to go to the beach or out for a walk. Lots of good amenities like restaurants, ice cream places, mini golf etc a short drive away. Check in/out were easy and the owner was responsive and provided some good local suggestions for us. Would go back.

This was my third time renting here; there was a break of a few years because of COVID, but it was so great to be here again. My previous two reviews give the details, but suffice to say this cottage will be my go-to always. Doug is great to deal with, very accommodating and pleasant. Location is fabulous, 3-minute walk to the beach and great proximity to fun stuff to do in the area. I will suggest bringing a couple fans - there are fans there, but we brought two of our own which were needed as well. That has nothing to do with the cottage and everything to do with the more intense heat this summer; it was never an issue in our previous stays. The crosswinds blowing through the living area are fabulous! We just found sleeping more comfortable with several fans. All in all, we had a great week in this quaint little cottage and it will always be my favorite Cape getaway.

We failed to read the emails listing what we needed to bring, and showed up with no sheets/linens. They immediately and kindly provided us with some. The house is located right near the beach as well as a cute crabbing place for the kids. 2 restaurants are also in walking distance. I had a great route for my daily run. We loved it!

Loved the location, quiet neighborhood walking distance to beautiful West Dennis beach. Cottage was as described. Loved the backyard overlooking a salt water marsh and my daughter loved all the bunnies around the yard. Walking distance to two restaurants, we enjoyed the Sand Bar, good pizza and great view.

Ideal location!
This small cottage is a two minute walk from West Dennis beach! My husband and I stayed two weeks. The place is quite small, but it has what you need for a relaxing vacation- a small kitchen, closets and bureaus, an outdoor table in the back. The owners were terrific and responsive, It was clean and comfortable and priced right. We would come back!!

My happy place!
For details, see my previous review of 7/27/18 - says it all! Still my favorite place on the Cape. A very minor glitch at the beginning was immediately taken care of through Doug and all was good. This will be my go-to place always!

Cape Getaway
Excellent location. The West Dennis Beach is within walking distance, and with a partial ocean view from the cottage steps. The plus side with renting this property is you don't have to pay to park at the beach which is $20-$30 a day. The property manager was great to work with. He gave us some suggestions for dining. The Outdoor shower is always a plus at the Cape. I Highly recommend looking into this spot for your next Cape Getaway.

Great vacation spot
A charming little cottage in a quiet neighborhood. Very clean and well maintained property with a beautiful small backyard. If you like watching birds, make sure to bring a pair binoculars. Overall a perfect venue for a small family. A few minutes walking distance from a beautiful beach and a quick drive away from great food. Hoping to return.

What we imagine a beach cottage to be!
What a great place to spend a week at the beach. First half of the week was with my daughter, son-in-law and 2-year-old grandson; second half was with another daughter and her fiance. Two very different experiences, but the cottage was perfect for both.
We arrived and were greeted by owner Doug and his family, truly lovely people. Doug is a virtual Cape Cod expert and is happy to share recommendations and suggestions for restaurants and activities, and was very reachable during our stay.
The cottage is the quintessential beach cottage; set in a row of similar cottages, there was lots of family activity going on among them all and the by-the-sea atmosphere was just what we were looking for. Lack of A/C is a non-issue, as the crosswinds cooled the cottage so much that the sweatshirts came out at night a few times. We did use the two box fans and brought one of our own, but that's just a personal preference when sleeping.
At the most it's a two- to three-minute walk to a great beach (no outrageous daily parking fee!) and a short drive to everything we wanted as far as restaurants, stores, and activities.
The cottage itself has a really well-equipped kitchen. We did most breakfasts and lunches there, and found everything we needed for utensils, etc. My favorite thing was a big plastic wine glass, which I claimed every evening we weren't out for sitting on the patio. We were fortunate that the renters of the other connected unit were really nice people; the outdoor shower is shared between the units and there's not much privacy between the two patios, but it never posed a problem.
I particularly liked that a reasonable cleaning fee was charged in our rental; having to spend the last morning of a vacation cleaning was always a gripe of mine in private rentals. We left the place as neat as we found it, but not having to clean a bathroom or wash a floor was well worth the fee.
I honestly can't think of a negative to this rental; it was a great experience, and the pride Doug and his family take in their rentals is evident. I plan to start saving my pennies now with the aim of renting both connected cottages next year so our whole family can enjoy it together. We truly loved this place and hope to become yearly visitors.

Cottage with great views and by the beach.
We loved our stay at this property. It is in a very scenic location with the sandy beach on your doorstep. We enjoyed using the BBQ and the big outside table with a beautiful view over a nature reserve at the back, we saw rabbits and lots of birds. The cottage was just the right size for the five of us. Thank you to the Pappillo family!

Crosswinds Cottages was the perfect place for our family vacation in July. The cottages were clean, comfortable and offered all that we needed for our indoor and outdoor gatherings. Because of our proximity to a lovely ocean front beach, we were able to walk there at any time of the day. We were also close to ice cream shops, restaurants and activities such as mini-golf. I would happily return to Crosswinds in Dennis in the future. The owners were gracious and accommodating.

Very clean, amazing access to the beach!
We loved our stay at crosswinds! We have a 1 and 3 year old, they had a blast at the beach, and we were able to make multiple trips a day due to being so close! The only things holding me back from five stars and I hate to even say them because we had so much fun would be the lack of shade in the backyard for the kids and my husband is ober 6 ft so the full bed for the two of us was a little tight. Otherwise this was perfect location! The Papallo family was there when we arrived and helped us right away! They were even very helpful when trying to make a week work to book both cottages so our friends could stay next door with their kids! Thank you so much!
