About this house rental

Nestled in Tahoe Vista, this lovely house for $401 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Tahoe is pet friendly and so are we! This inviting cabin is located in Tahoe Vista right off of highway 267, just minutes from Kings Beach and Northstar. The neighborhood is very quiet and the house is located right next to one of the Tahoe National Forest’s great hiking, biking and snowmobile trails. If you are looking for a spot nestled in the woods for your family or just with friends, this is it! You feel like you've really gotten away from it all being surrounded by the trees in our quiet neighborhood. It is a spacious home with an updated kitchen, idealistic gas fireplace and large living and dining area – perfect for families or a group of friends looking to unwind in beautiful North Lake Tahoe. Beautiful outdoor deck out that wraps around front the front of the house and onto a back deck that looks into the forest complete with lounge chairs and and outdoor dining set (only accessible during the summer/fall). Whether you are headed up to ski or to hike or just to enjoy all that Lake Tahoe has to offer, our simple cozy home has all that you need. We are so close to all the hustle and bustle of the lake and even the Village at Northstar or Truckee but know that when you come back to your home away from home all you will experience is that quiet of the wind blowing through the trees, the birds chirping and the chipmunks and squirrels chasing each other. Check in time is at 4pm and check out at 10:00am, if no other reservation is directly before or after yours I am almost always able to extend those times at no cost. The three bedrooms can easily sleep six, four adults and two kids in the twin bunk beds (bunks not meant for anyone over 80 pounds). There is also a queen-sized pull out sofa in the loft area that sleeps an additional two. There are two full-sized bathrooms, one upstairs and one down. *** NO GARAGE ACCESS *** Entertainment features include a gas BBQ located off the side of the house that is covered for use all year round. Also included is a TV and BlueRay player with Netflix (NO CABLE OR SATELLITE OR LOCAL OR PREMIUM TV CHANNELS) as well as an assortment of BlueRay discs and board games to choose from. Because we are back in nature the cellular service is spotty AT BEST. We offer free wifi and you can enable wifi calling on your cell phone or text the home number to someone you need to speak with and they can call in (just no outgoing long distance calls). It's a nice way to unplug (as much as possible) and get away from it all. Enjoy! We are not responsible for weather related issues like road closures, power outages and WiFi outages. These are out of our control and are not guaranteed. Last minute cancellation due to these issues is subject to approval and will incur a fee to be deducted from any potential refund.

When we arrived to the house we discovered that housekeeping had not come to clean up from the previous tenants. I was able to make contact with the owner eventually and the cleaners were sent out late evening to clean. It was definitely inconvenient but we were issued a partial refund for the troubles. The WiFi isn’t very strong and there is little to no cell service, which is fine but just plan ahead if you need to look up travel stuff etc. This isn’t the fanciest house but it’s cozy and definitely has that mountain cabin feel to it.

My husband and 11yr old son had a blast. We arrived to a snowplowed driveway! The stairs had pads on them to melt the snow, nice! My son played on his sled in the front yard and down the street. Tons of soft snow all around us. We went for a snowmobile tour 3 miles away and had a wonderful day. The house is definitely clean, gently used, and dated. Not fancy, but gets the job done. The neighborhood is wonderful backing up to state park. Would love to go back in the summer if we could afford it.

We had a great stay in Kingswood Estates with 2 families. Cabin was just what needed for some downtime, snow play, and a walk in the woods. Loved that the Tahoe Rim Trail is just outside their back door. Owners were super easy to communicate with. A great experience for us!

I searched for homes for our first Destination Christmas with our kids and their spouses. We really didn’t know what to expect, but this place exceeded all of our expectations. It was beautiful, spacious, had everything in the kitchen that we needed. Cara was awesome to talk to, and quick to respond to our questions. There was lots of snow and we all had a wonderful time! Thank you so much for a very memorable Christmas!
