The location was great and the size of the property.
The inside was stifling as the windows only open a couple of inches. The fans didnโt help much.
No rail to the outside steps.
The grass was full of thistles which give quite a sting. It could be amazing outside but it does let the place down.

This was a lovely lodge that suited the needs of 4 adults and two teens. It was ideally located to visit our friends in Carlton. The level access showers were great for a disabled member of the party and the kitchen was very well appointed.

Everything! My friend and I wanted somewhere to relax and recharge our batteries and Bank End Lodge definitely delivered. Nice quiet location, very clean and comfortable. Weather was mild so able to sit outside and enjoy the garden, birds and wildlife (benches and chairs provided which aren't in the photo). Lovely towels and bedding. Well equipped kitchen and lots of unexpected extras.
Hosts were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble (Thankyou Tony - you know why ๐คฃ). Excellent communication and instructions prior to our arrival and a really useful information pack provided. We would definitely book again.
Nothing to dislike other than having to leave for home and get back to reality
