Nestled in Butler Beach, this charming house for $419 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Have you ever wanted a vacation where you could walk to the beach or enjoy your own pool? Blue Horizon offers both. This is a great home for the entire family. There is boating, kayaking, fishing, and a playground in this Wind Swept Acres home. The heated pool (Solar Heated - No Additional Charge / Gas Heat Option For An Additional Charge) is located in a large lanai with a poolside patio and outside dining area. The living room is situated with comfortable sofas, a 55” HDTV and is nicely decorated. Our home is equipped with WIFI so bring all the electronic devices to stay in touch with family and friends while you have the best vacation ever. The kitchen is fully stocked. From appliances, cookware to tableware, you will have everything you need. There is also a breakfast nook with seating for four. The MASTER suite is equipped with a KING size bed, a 32” HDTV, an en-suite bathroom. The SECOND and THIRD bedrooms both have KING size beds, and a 32” HDTV. The DEN includes TWO DAY BEDS. Our rental also has a full size washer and dryer. *** HOT TUB IS NOT FUNCTIONAL *** ** The pool is solar heated with gas back up. Gas heating the pool is an additional cost. A beach rental should reflect the beach and not be full of old Northern furniture. It was decorated like an old cabin in the woods. Creepy garage and if you pushed hard enough on the “sunroom” door it opened even though it was bolt locked. Who has a sunroom with old wooden shutters on the windows? Yard and overgrown area, lanai’s screens were missing in more then one place. Appliances updated but a failed attempt to make it a beach rental . Don’t stay there

Overall, great experience. The floors were pretty dirty though, as was the pool, and we could not locate a pool net to clean it. We never received any communication back when we asked about the net or what to do with the linens upon check out.

Reported it and a guy came out with two cords but neither of them worked. Said he was going to see if he could fine the correct one. We checked out on Wed. and he never came back to fix it before we left. I feel the cleaning fee is quite high, for what we were expected to do before we left. Never had to do all that anywhere else.

When we drove up to the house the front looked nice. The inside had a smell to it that went away once we turned on the air and put vinegar down the drain. Really not sure what it was. The locks on the front door were a little flimsy.
The inside was cute and we thought, "This will work nicely." It was comfortable and so was our bed, but one of our guests had to sleep elsewhere because she felt like she was rolling out of her bed.
The outside was not so good. The cushions on the furniture were dirty, the screens on the screened-in porch were torn in several places, and the backyard needs a good servicing. We had read the reviews mentioning the hot tub being out of service a few months before, and we should have listened to those past guests. The website (multiple sites we looked at) showed the hot tub and steps leading up to it. My husband was looking forward to the hot tub especially. Imagine our surprise/disappointment when we found it not where it was in the photos but leaning on its side behind the shed! This is when the calls and issues with the property management began. I called the number given and was told by the service - yes, it's a service and not the office although they say they are open on Saturday - that they could not answer our questions about the hot tub and no one would be able to help until Monday. Two days into our week's vacation. I then went to the website and emailed and someone did call back. I explained my concern about the hot tub and was told the photos were old on the website and there was no hot tub. I asked why the photos were still up and were told they would be taken down. I asked if I could have some type of compensation considering that was a main reason we booked the house and the photos were on the websiite. She said she would talk to her manager and get back to me. Two days later I had to reach out. I was told - via text - the manager said no to our request and that they couldn't help us. I asked for a phone number for the manager, and eventually got a call back. He was rude and told me it didn't matter if there were photos because a clause in the contract said they weren't responsible if things didn't work. He hung up on me. You'll note the photos are still up although they said they would take them down.
So, the inside of the house is nice. The outside needs work. And I wouldn't stay here knowing you may need to deal with the management.

House was not super clean but was acceptable
The mattresses in the rooms were pretty worn out. Not much restful sleep. The location is really convenient to the Matanzas beach ramp. Walked the dog to the beach each morning. Bring a wagon for your gear or just drive across A1A and you’re there!

Better than advertised - awesome!
We absolutely loved our stay. Some nice surprises we found - The pool is bigger than the photo appears, the home is stocked with tons of boogie boards/other ocean stuff (garage), and the 3 bedrooms were all king beds with their own TVs (4 total for the house). They pool water was always a perfect temperature and it’s a saltwater filtered pool (no chlorine smell to deal with).

Great experience
Everyone loved the location and pool. Also the short walk to the beach was great. Some of us walked and others drove. We cooked a lot in the kitchen due to the Covid. We did laundry a few times so that was convenient. Also it was nice having plenty of towels for showers and the beach. Some even used the outdoor shower. Just a couple of things we could have used more of, t.p. and dish soap. But otherwise would definitely recommend the Blue Horizon beach house.

We loved the house! A few issues. Missing screen around pool, which allowed bugs into pool. The pool cleaning net was full of holes. The broken hot tub is full of tadpoles and mosquitoes. We would like to stay here again if the issues are fixed.

We spent a great time at the Blue Horizon property. Everything in and around the house was very clean and functional. The gorgeous beach was only 5 minute to walk. The house is very spacious except the second bathroom. The only thing we missed was some kind of drying rack for the laundry. We didn't have a remote for the garage door but we were able to work around. Overall a great place in a nice location.

We rented this unit for a week from July 8-14, 2018. Our son had just returned from deployment in Poland and we wanted to take the entire family to a location that had specific amenities. We have pets and small children. We wanted a pool, grill, hot tub and pet friendly house. The inside of the home was clean and enjoyable. HOWEVER, it wasn’t the same for the outside. The pool was murky and had not been serviced. It took 2 calls to the rental agent and 4 days for someone to come service it. The grill was unusable. It was filthy and not in working order. We purchased new propane bottles and it still would not work. We had to go purchase our own grill to use. The hot tub was not working, in fact it had moth balls inside of it. We contacted the rental agent and were told that they would contact the owner. We had to contact them twice and they never got back with us after the second call with a follow up after they contacted the owner. On Thursday, the day before we left the pool man finally showed. The yard and landscaping was horrible. We had to call to have the yard mowed. The trees and flower beds were horribly overgrown and unattractive. The house also had a screened lanai around the pool. It had holes in the screen and spider webs growing all around. The house needed pressure washing as mildew was everywhere. We definitely WOULD NOT rent from this agent or homeowner again.

We had a great stay at the Blue Horizon property. The outside shower was great for washing off from the beach...even had hot water! The beach was a quick 5 minute walk. The pool area was very comfortable and being screened in kept it bug free. The house was very spacious and inviting. Would definitely recommend it! The only issue we had was the Jacuzzi wasn't working. However when we called about it they were very apologetic and willing to have someone come fix it. Kitchen was well stocked with cookware and utensils as well as cleaning and laundry supplies.
