Excellent place to stay if you’re wanting to explore Tokyo for a few days.

Perfectly located in Shinjuku, it’s a quiet area but it is also an easy walk to get to many of the busier parts of the Shinjuku/Shibuya and right next to the subway. Lots of great food and coffee shops around. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The room was a bit smaller than anticipated but the location and cleanliness made up for it.

good value and clean for travelers whom like to be independent

great location and convenient to market for coffee etc

staff basically thought you were dead. they care more about the cafe - which didn't bother us much. I was with someone whom knew Japanese and tokyo - not sure how it would be if you needed help, recommendations or something else.

A cozy, comfortable inn that was perfect for a solo traveler and first-timer to Japan.

The room that I had booked was the perfect size for a solo traveler. In fact, I would say that it was generously larger than normal compared to other hotel/inn rooms in Japan, especially in a very crowded city that is Tokyo. The location was perfect for me, too, as it was located next to Shinjuku Gyo-en (Shinjuku Gyo-en National Garden), which is not even a few meters away from the inn. On top of that, it is practically located within the heart of Shinjuku, the epicenter of Central Tokyo, which, for tourists, makes it an excellent location to get around specific scenic areas in that part of the city. Lastly, the service was wonderful, and the staff being nothing but professional and friendly.

It was insanely hot when I arrived to my room, so much so that I couldn’t be in the room without dripping in sweat, and the air conditioner was barely working. When I asked the staff about it, she seemed apathetic and didn’t offer any help or solutions.

Great location, quiet, lovely rooms & staff - but our room did smell damp

The hotel room was well located & situated on a quiet street walking distance from Shinjuku. The rooms were well decorated, clean and safe. There was a Family Mart across the street open 24hr and the staff were happy to store our bags on check-out.

Unfortunately our room 201 had a very strong damp smell. We understood that this is an issue in Japan but nevertheless it was unpleasant - our travel friends room however did not, so we understand this may be a isolated issue.

Stinky :(

Rooms were cute and tidy. Although there was a bad smell coming from the air conditioner which made us cut our stay short.

Staff were very apologetic about the bad smell coming from the air conditioning unit and said they would check it but didn’t tell us in what capacity; we’d expect them to have hired a professional to look at the unit and make sure the smell wasn’t due to a something toxic like a gas leak, or mould. We were given a different room on our second night which was very nice and smelled fine, but we were required to go back to our smelly room for the remaining four nights of our stay since the place was booked out. Not knowing what the cause of the smell was from, or whether or not it was going to be fixed, we decided to leave. Worst case scenario was the room was unsafe, and best case scenario our room smelled like sewage and dirty socks. We’re currently trying to get a refund for the four nights we did not stay. If you’re not unlucky enough to get room 502 your stay will probably be pleasant.
