The property is very well stocked with everything you need for cooking, etc. The home is in walking distance to downtown. Renting bikes is fun with wonderful bike paths. We would stay here again.

I was there for my daughters wedding. Property's location was near to Main Street both by car and walking.
4.0
We were pleased with location of the home. Walking distance to town. Downtown Nantucket is beautiful with plenty to do. We also rented a car at Young’s Bike Shop and really enjoyed exploring the island. The home was nice with a great private outdoor space. The downstairs bedroom is nice with own bathroom, which is the only bathroom downstairs. The bedrooms upstairs with queen and double beds are small, but ok. The twin beds are just outside the doors to the other bedrooms and a bit awkward. Only 1 small bathroom upstairs. Actual beds were not very comfortable. The family room area was a nice size and the kitchen was also big enough for our group to gather.

This was a darling comfortable cottage near town. It was so nice for my daughters and I. The upstairs ceilings were a bit of a challenge for my tall daughters, but they didn’t mind. I’m not used to recycling so I was nervous about doing it wrong and getting a fine, but I think we figured it out. Although it is easier to stay in a hotel-you don’t have to wash towels or pay an extra fee-we really loved being together in an adorable cottage. Nantucket is so charming and staying in a cottage just added to the romance of the town. Wonderful host!

From start to finish everything was perfect. The host Kathleen was amazingly helpful and responsive with all of our many questions she started getting getting about 11 months before our stay. The property is beautiful, comfortable, and in a perfect location. Hoping to come back to Nantucket real soon and stay here again.
The house has plenty of room to spread out and is so comfortably and attractively furnished. We walked most everywhere. The layout of the bedding made it perfect for friends to be together but mostly have their own beds. Such cozy and warm, bedding, and comforters! Thank you for offering your beautiful home as a vrbo!

Our group of 9 had a great stay. Grandparents, kids, older grandchildren. It was cozy, but enough space for us to spread out as well. Space was clean, and all communications were clear. A great stay.

Exactly as advertised. Kathleen (host) was very responsive and check-in/out was a breeze. It’s situated on a lovely street about a 10 minute walk into town. Very clean and super convenient to town. I’d recommend and stay there again!

My family and I had a fabulous time at Hunky Dory!
Perfect size for our group of 10, we had plenty of space. The garden was great, ate outdoors mostly and the outdoor shower was divine. Kathleen was very good at communicating!

Wonderfully welcoming and celebrating Nantucket in every room, this home is charming, comfortable and has a delightful garden to enjoy! We were a group of senior women reuniting for an active stay and the home was a perfect retreat in a fabulous location near to town and bike paths. Many thanks to our host!

Our family of teens, parents, and grandparents had a wonderful stay at Hunky Dory! There is plenty of room for large family meals while at the same time enough separate spaces for people to spread out to work, play and relax. The location was perfect for walks to town, grocery runs to Stop and Shop and bike rides to the beach. Nantucket was uncharacteristically hot and humid during our stay, so we were very grateful for the AC units in all the rooms. Kathleen was very helpful and responsive. We enjoyed the special attention she gives to little things like pretty sheets, an abundance of towels and beach chairs, fun games and a generous supply of household items. We can't wait to come back next year!

Great location and clean.
The house was clean and comfortable. It was an easy walk to the town, restaurants and grocery. Communication with the owners were very good. They responded very quickly to any questions we had. I appreciated the fact that we were able to do our own laundry and thus have our laundry deposit returned. There are only two bathrooms so if you had eleven people and used all the beds it might get crowded waiting for a shower (although there is an additional outside shower) but we only had four people so there was plenty of room. Would definitely recommend.

Loved our stay at Hunky Dory
Our family group of seven adults, ages 25 to 62, had a wonderful week-long stay at Hunky Dory. I can't add to much to what has already been described in other reviews, but some of our favorite things about the property were its casual and comfortable charm, numerous spacious common areas, and the large and attractive yard set up for dining, socializing, and relaxing (double hammock). The kitchen is attractive and functional and better equipped than our one at home.
Some of our most memorable times at the house were relaxed outdoor meals, including a takeout Lobster dinner (Sayle's, Kathleen's recommendation). This was our first trip to Nantucket and our most memorable adventure/beach experience was driving rental Jeeps out to Great Point and spending several hours there (Young's, again Kathleen's recommendation).

Great location!
We loved our stay at this property! The location could have been closer to a variety of island highlights, from the windmill to downtown and a quick bike ride to Cisco, Surfside and Lady’s beach.
There are lots of different sitting areas in this house making it easy for a large group to spread out. Kathleen was incredibly attentive and our family had a wonderful stay.

Our family just spent the most idyllic week in Nantucket and Kathleen’s home could not have been better suited for this occasion. Everything at the Hunky Dory is set up for relaxation- a beautiful hydrangea filled back yard with rustic picnic tables that we decorated with Kathleen’s pretty blue placemats and tea candles where we all ate together at night with the sun going down the large Adirondack chairs were great for chatting and reading, and the hammock was a popular spot to relax with a good book. In the cozy front room, we watched the beginning of the Olympic together. We played card games at night on the long table off the kitchen. We also had a blast exploring the island on foot and bikes from Sconset to Madaket, to Surfside Beach and Jetties Beach, we visited Cisco Brewery and Bartlett Farma. We loved all the shops downtown and even got to meet Elin Hilderbrand at Mitchell’s. We had great takeout food from Sayles (get the lobster!) and Oath pizza (recommended by Kathleen)i, and had great dinners out at Gaslight, Charlie Nobles, and Nantucket Hotel. Visually, Nantucket is the most beautiful place I have seen in the U.S. we hope to return someday It was picture perfect in every way and we miss it already. Thank you, Kathleen, for being such a gracious host!

Just got back from a great week at Kathleen’s property Hunky Dory!! First of all Kathleen’s communication is top notch. No question went unanswered and very quick to respond! I was a little nervous about the recycling rules on Nantucket, LOL but Kathleen walked us through it. You can tell this property is her baby and she has put a lot of love and care into it. It is adorable inside with beautiful grounds, flowers and outdoor seating. A few of us worked throughout the vacation and wifi is excellent downstairs. There was everything you need to cook. She has lots of towels, facecloths, beach towels, chairs, back up light bulbs and a full washer dryer! Air conditioners everywhere if hot outside. The home is older with low ceilings so if you are a tall family you will need to duck your head a bit upstairs. The stairs to second floor are steep so I suggest putting all the younger folk up there. I kept my 80 yo dad downstairs in king bed with bathroom close by. Hunky Dory is about a 10-15 min walk to town depending on how fast you walk. 5 min by bike. Pay attention to how Kathleen tells you to get to house as there is less traffic that way. We did not and were surprised at how fast cars go by pedestrians and roads are narrow. It is also safer by bike the way she tells you. Kathleen gives you tons of suggestions for the island and we hit most of them. On the boat over people were shocked we had made no reservations for restaurants before we left. But honestly, you can get in nearly anywhere for lunch including “Galley Beach”. Beautiful! Dinner FORGET IT, but if you go to restaurants at 4 or 5 you may be able to get in. Gaslight and Town were yummy. Most places were super nice but some very snobby and laughed when we tried to get in, “American Seasons”. We went to “Rose and a Crown” 5 times as you can walk right in anytime and eat outside under umbrellas. Very good food too!. Also, Hunky Dory is close to bus stops but to go to further distance locations, “Cisco breweries” and “Mataket” you will need to take bus downtown first. Get a week pass for $30 and ride anywhere. The stop and shop is a 5 min bike ride and we went there quite often for supplies. Also, at end of week when my dad got a bit tired of walking, NO problem getting an Uber. Thank you Kathleen for a great experience on our first visit to Nantucket! I would highly recommend Kathleen’s home!

Fantastic property and stay
My family had a wonderful stay at Kathleen's house. The house is very clean and in great condition. The garden/yard is beautiful and enclosed - a great place for our children to run around. It was easy to walk into town from the house. We were also able to walk to Discovery Playground and some great breakfast spots - Island Kitchen and The Downyflake! The location was perfect for us. Kathleen was very attentive and quick to answer any questions we had. The house was supplied with everything we needed. We would not hesitate to try and stay here again the next time we visit Nantucket.

Everything Was Hunky Dory
My family (6 adults and 2 children under the age of 2) and I had an absolutely wonderful week at the Hunky Dory on Nantucket. The house was clean, well stocked with beach chairs (good ones!), beach umbrella, beach and bath towels (!!), dishes, utensils, etc. We were wanting for nothing. The large yard is an absolute dream, especially if you have young children! There was a great outdoor shower, which most of us used every day. The street is a quiet one, with few cars driving by, which was great. Easy in/easy out. The location was great (walking distance to town and short drives to many different beaches. The owner, Kathleen Conway, is awesome. She was very easy to contact and kept us well informed of all that we needed to know. To sum, we would not hesitate to stay at Hunky Dory again should we be so lucky as to coordinate our schedules once more. Thank you, Kathleen!

Vacation at Honky Dory
The communication with the host was above and beyond easy as well as quick. The location of Honky Dory was exactly as described "8 minute walk to town" and a quick bike ride. Also the location has easy access to the larger Stop & Shop! We hope to return to Honky Dory in the near future!

The house was the perfect size for my family. Everyone was comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was close to town and shops. We were in Nantucket for our wedding and we rented 3 different houses. Of all the hosts, Kathleen was the most hospitable. She was very responsive and thoughtful!
