About this house rental
Gumbo Bungalow
Impeccably maintained & stocked with all the perks. This home sits on a large corner lot (130' x 105') adjacent to a 50' easement which offers great views & access to both Gulf & Sound. There is a sidewalk & boardwalk that deliver you the very short distance (approx. 100') to the emerald waters & sugary white sand of the Gulf.
Please note that the two levels of the home are not accessible with an interior stariway. You will find exterior stairways in both the front yard (driveway) and backyard (pool area) with doorways and easy access.
This setup does not work for all family dynamics, but we love it as it provides a separation of spaces, and places to escape, during a long comingling week at the beach.
The gathering area provides vinyl plank flooring, granite counters, plantation shutters, vaulted ceiling & a large flatscreen wall mount television. There is meal seating for 15 including both dining table & breakfast bar.
Stepping through the french doors from the family room onto the large balcony outside you are immediately wowed by the main attraction of this home. The large gunite saltwater pool allows enjoyment for all ages. There is a spacious 1' landing perfect for the toddles to play, two in pool staircases providing easy entry, bench seating as well as the swim-up bar provides multiple seating areas. Jump out of the pool and enjoy a game of volleyball or badminton on the grass court, or try your hand at horseshoes. Sunbathe on the pool deck, gaze out at the ocean views from the upper deck, or take shelter from the sun on the lower shaded patio which is great for hiding from the sun and playing in the sand with bucket and shovel in hand. This is also the spot to fire up the charcoal grill for the family cookout, which is adjacent to the homes additional recreation space with ping pong table.

We actually loved this house It worked for our huge group of people and the kids loved the convince of the pool and the beach. All the adults loved the space and the kitchen laundry and pool. Not having inside stairs actually worked for us very well. The house actually came with a lot of stuff as far as cookware extra towels blankets and pillows. The house was very clean. The only reason I would have given it 4 stars is because some over the lights didn’t work or were dim like downstairs and the one over the main bathroom over the shower. The hall bathroom upstairs slowly drained and so did one of the sinks in the main bathroom.There were only minor things that wasn’t a big deal. Just minor fixes and updates I would recommend. We had a great first big family vacation and we would definitely book again.

Host was very easy to contact upon arrival. You cannot beat the proximity to the beach at this rental. The pool was amazing for our group!

Overall the beach house was attractive and fit our needs! We were disappointed in the layers of dirt that were on the back exit door and the dining chairs. The filtered water and ice in the refrigerator did not work. The blinds on the back doors did not operate properly. If you expect renters to clean the grill, a grill brush should be accessible.

Overall I was disappointed with the house. The pool was wonderful and the proximity of the property to the beach was ideal, however the house itself was a letdown. The master bathroom has a very slow draining sink and the water pressure in the shower was poor. The two bedrooms and bathroom on the lower floor were NOT worth the cost. Those rooms smelled like mildew and were dirty. There were strands of dust hanging from the ceiling and the floors looked like they had not been cleaned well, especially in the corners. When the sheets slipped off the mattress we saw old blood on the mattress. I was not comfortable at all in the downstairs area. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this property to anyone else.
