Located in West Bay, this lovely house for $618 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Imagine waking up in one of our 3 King bedrooms overlooking the ocean to view the sunrise! Additional 2 bedrooms, one with a Queen Murphy bed and one with 4 bunks, 2 twins, 2 doubles. What will you do today? Lay by the infinity pool, workout in the gym, go scuba diving, snorkeling or have a beach day! Finish your day with a meal cooked in your gourmet kitchen and watch the moon rise over the ocean, while the kids enjoy a movie in the media room they have bunk beds to sleep. Each of your King bedrooms has a beautiful bathroom with walk in closet. You will be able to slide open the entire wall of the living room and kitchen to enjoy complete indoor/outdoor living. Location: Lighthouse Estates is a 10 minute walk to West Bay Beach. It is close enough to enjoy the fun and restaurants and the beach while still giving you peace and seclusion in your own retreat. House: Shalymar was completed in 2015 by one of the top builders on the island. All three bedrooms have King beds and full ensuites. There is a fantastic outdoor shower to rinse off after the beach. The house has a back up generator. There are dishes, flatware and glasses for 16 people for both indoor and outdoor meals. The gym has a Precor Elliptical and a Precor Treadmill. There is a large selection of free weights and mats. There is a quiet office area with a desk available. Feel free to use the washer and dryer. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a gourmet meal. We love to cook and really tried to make this a chef's kitchen. The media room has a 60 inch TV with seating for 6 and a digital piano along with bunk beds for the kids or couples that are young at heart. The dining room has a fantastic round table with seating for 8 that was made on the island. The living room has 9 foot couches and a chair and half so there is always room for a crowd to sit around. Outdoor on the patio are lounge chairs for 10 including two that sit right in the pool. There are also two couches and two chairs. This is really one of the nicest houses on the island made to maximize your time and enjoyment!

The owner was very responsive when we had a couple of small issues and they were resolved immediately so no complaints! The house has everything you can imagine. I loved the fact that they provided bottled drinking water. I recommend you bring an insulated water bottle to use while you're there. Loved the pool and deck area.

I have to start this with a huge shoutout to Kelley & Kris. Best hosts you could ask for!! After a lot of VRBO experiences (some not so great), these wonderful people are top tier!
The communication, recommendations, and help was truly priceless. Kelley text us directly and checked in on us throughout the stay & quickly answered any questions we had.
Nancy, the local house manager was so kind and helpful, even when we were running behind checking out.
Shalymar is breathtaking, pictures don’t do it justice! The layout was perfect for 4 couples and our little fur baby Betty with an extra room we didn’t even use! The kitchen is well appointed with everything you could need to prep a feast before and after a Beach/pool day! It’s a dream kitchen to cook in, and the ice freezer was a huge plus!
All the rooms are amazing, The upstairs suites with private balconies are indescribable, the views!!!
One of our favorite things, was the media room/den upstairs! We played card games, watched shows and took our art skills for a spin. Such a fantastic space!
The pool is much bigger than it may appear, and the lights inside it are great at night, making for a really nice swim while listening to the waves crash on the cliff below!
I’m probably forgetting something or several things to mention, but we all had the time of our lives. After 9 trips to the island of Roatan, this was my favorite trip by far!
Look no further than Shalymar, this place has it all!

The home was as described in a beautiful location with great attention provided by staff. The only complaint I have is the the cooking utensils and pots and pans were in very poor condition. We ended up buying a cheap set in town.

The property exceeded our expectations. Wonderful indoor outdoor setting with a great pool area. Great base to set out on island adventures and beautiful beach just a short stop away. Kelly and Chris were great, helped with transportation and even securing the family dinner reservations at one of their local favorites which turned out great. They were available the entire trip for anything we needed or had questions on.

I stay here with my family for about two weeks. The attention to detail and cleanliness were amazing. Both the host and the on location property manager were so helpful and responsive to everything. The property is on the backside of West Bay, so if you get a quiet and safe neighborhood with the ability to get to West Bay in less than 5 minutes for a more active day. There is also a little restaurant and bar that is a short walk away that is perfect for sunsets. It was the perfect place for our extended get away. Thanks team for everything!

The property is as nice as it presents on the listing. The owner was excellent in responding to questions and concerns before, and during our stay. They arranged our airport shuttle, and a rental car was delivered to the home for us. The home has beautiful ocean facing windows, and unfortunately during our stay the winds were high. This created a film on all of the windows that caused us not to be able to see out of them well. The host has the windows cleaned once they were aware of the issue, which was greatly appreciated. The home is a quick 15 minute walk to great snorkelling on West Bay and the nice beach/restaurants. We all left very impressed with the entire experience and would highly recommend this host and home to anyone considering staying in Roatan.

Kelley was super flexible with us and our various departure and arrivals with different friends. She also helped us with setting up the pre departure COVID testing. I was glad we had a vehicle so that we can enjoy both the quiet property and the busier towns. A great experience all around and the house has everything you need. 5/5 stars.

The property was beautiful and the setting was very quiet as advertised. Our family has a wonderful time. I recommend taking a tour your first day to get the lay of the land since you’ll need a car to get around and the driving is a little sketchy.

Shalymar did not disappoint. The home, the amenities, the pool and the location were all tremendous. Kelley and her team were readily available for questions or helpful tips before and during the trip. Our family of 5 enjoyed fun activities on the island as well as reading and relaxing in the epic pool with a view! Shalymar in beautiful Roatan should be on your bucket list!

Beautiful house in beautiful location! So nice we had to force ourselves to go out and see the island. Jannel was fantastic making sure everything was perfect and the owner even checked in to make sure we were enjoying our stay. Only comment would be that advertising it as 4 bedrooms is a stretch. There is a large family room with 4 bunk beds that would be great for children but we were a group of adults and the room could either be used as a bedroom or a gathering place. Having said that, the house was large and plenty of places for friends to gather! Everything was well appointed. Loved the place and highly recommend! Deb

This home was perfect for our family! The pool was beautiful with an amazing outdoor area! I loved the walkway out to the water! The garage, laundry room, multiple beds/baths and full kitchen were perfect for our family. The temperature in the home was ideal. We felt safe in the neighborhood. We used the snorkeling gear, chairs and cool daily! Thank you for everything!

A most amazing place to retreat to. You can't help but totally relax in this luxury home fitted with a Chef style kitchen well stocked with all you need; a beautifully kept infinity pool; outstanding views; numerous comfortable seating areas; a media room; a extremely well equipped gym and very comfortable beds. The owners went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and had good information in places to eat and activities to enjoy. There were even fresh flowers in the rooms . There was a problem with the air conditioning but the property manager fixed it promptly. I would highly recommend this rental and will definitely return.

This house is the perfect combination of luxury and function. There isn't a single detail that has been overlooked. It's elegantly decorated, welcoming and super comfortable....not to mention spacious. The view never stops and the infinity pool is divine. You'll cook many meals here 'cause you won't want to leave ..... and the kitchen is fabulous. The bedrooms are large yet cozy. The location is just perfect -- overlooking and surrounded by incredible natural beauty yet you are a short walk from amazing West Bay beach. You'll want to pinch yourself but instead will toast to your wise decision to stay here. I wanted to cry when we had to leave. Best. Vacation. Ever.

Loved it, absolutely loved it. The view when we opened up the front door was breathtaking and the kitchen is fabulously luxurious. The bedrooms have the most stunning views of the ocean through the French doors, so much so that I found myself lingering in my room with the doors open soaking up the view. The patio was amazing with comfy couches and chairs ,sun loungers, a bar area, and an eating area, where we ate most of our meals. And of course the infinity pool was used a lot . The gym was nice to have with good machines and weights ,which we did actually use. There is a very comfy media room with a large flat screen tv for movies on quiet evenings. The bathrooms were very luxurious and it felt like a spa. The house was amazing and private, with few neighbours. If you can pull yourself away from Shalymar, the west bay beach is a short walk away. This beach is amazing with its fine sand, which gently slopes into the ocean. And of course the beach bars are many in case you need to quench your thirst with a Monkey LaLa. The water taxis are here so you can get to the west end in minutes. As nice as all these things are, we always looked forward to going back to the luxurious Shalymar. The house is large and well layed out and it never felt crowded. We loved every minute of our time here and would highly recommend this rental . We can't wait to return.

To put into words my experience at Shalymar would be a disservice to you, because frankly there are no fitting words to describe it. Perfect would be the closest that comes to mind, though still not enough. You must experience for yourself how magical of a place it is. The house is stunning from the moment you see it, built for kings. The only thing more beautiful than the house itself is the view you have from the moment you walk in- sprawling ocean framed by the vast sky and the Iron Shore- which is best enjoyed lounging in the infinity pool. Shalymar is a special place I will hold near to my heart for many years to come. It's where memories are made and what dreams are made of.

Shalymar is ideally situated just a short walk from the best beach in the Caribbean. The huge terrace and infinity pool overlooking the sea made it hard to decide whether or not to even go to the beach! This was the most comfortable, private and luxurious place We've ever stayed, including the Four Seasons. Roatan is like the Caribbean out of a 1960's James Bond movie. We can't wait to go back.

Idyllic.
There are no other words that can so perfectly describe Shalymar. My family and I visited Roatan for a 2 week long vacation and I would stay here time and time again. The moment you walk in, you are greeted by a sweeping view of the ocean and feel like you can leave your cares at the door. It's not garishly decorated, like you may expect from some tropical vacation homes. It feels like a home, not a rental-- until you walk onto the back patio and realize you are truly on holiday. The view is spectacular (even better from the infinity pool) and everything is set up so well-- from lounge chairs IN the pool, an outdoor shower, and a covered seating area with a bar and huge sliding doors back into the house. I really can't say enough about this place. You won't be disappointed.
