The vintage stylings of this Lakehouse were just what we all needed. Perfectly located. Close to everything. Kitchen Fully equipped w all the things you need to make delicious food. Wish we wouldn’t have worn ourselves out so much at the lake during the day so we could’ve spent a little more time in the cute backyard. We will definitely stay here again. Brings a whole new meaning to keeping Up with the Joneses. 10/10 recommend.

Perfect but the knives suck
Great old house, nice hang with good clean everything. If you plan on cooking for yourself consider bringing your own knives.

A cute, well stocked house but unfortunately on a very busy highway with a lot of construction. Not really easy walkability into town. A very nice back yard but a swarm of wasps made the patio virtually impossible to use.

Great Location with Plenty of room
Enjoyed our stay here. AC was spot on in 100 degree weather. The kids complained it was too cold! :) The place actually has 3 queen beds but the other one is in a porch area. Nice backyard. We would love to come back!

Such a sweet little place, seriously felt like our cozy home. Very clean and well stocked! The only thing I would recommend bringing is bigger trash bags, other wise they had everything else covered!

Stingy on the soap!!! Great yard space!!
Why would a vacation rental be stingy with the soap and cleaning supplies offered to guests?!?!?
There was only one finger with of hand-soap left in the bathroom for washing hands. During the coronavirus pandemic as you can imagine that went fast. There was only a travel sized dishwashing detergent left by the sink. Which only allowed us enough dish detergent to wash our dishes by hand the first day we were there. There was no dishwasher available. If you expect us to hand wash everything you would think that they would supply ample dishwashing soap?!?!? There was also a washer and dryer for clothing… But there was no soap available except for a one use Travel soap offered. Even though we had more clothes that we wanted to wash while we were there from outdoor play and being in the water… We would’ve had to go down to the local grocery store and buy our own. I have never experienced this before!!! It would’ve been nice to have Ample dish soap… Laundry detergent… And hand soap available. Why would a vacation rental be stingy with these things?!?!?

Social distancing in a home away from home!
This is a nice clean spacious place to relax for a few days for our family of 4. It can accommodate more guests. We felt relaxed, thank you Vacasa for the good stay!

Good value and location
This property is a good value in a decent location just outside the main part of town. There are only two proper bedrooms, but the rear entry/laundry room was generously sized and housed the extra bed ok. Everything worked well in the house and there is a nice park/beach within a 5 minute walk and a small convenience store is close by too. Most other amenities and destinations require a short drive.
However, our issue was with Vacasa/Home Away's pet policy, which appear not to be set by the property owner. The rate of $20 per dog PER DAY plus taxes and fees is unreasonable and unnecessary. I hope other renters, the property owner and Vacasa/Home Away take this feedback seriously and Vacasa/Home Away adjusts their fee structure to be more reasonable. The dogs cost almost as much as the humans, no matter the weight or size of the dogs. Pretty ridiculous. Their rates are also not clear on the rental page, leading us to think the first dog was included in the base rate, which it is not. If you travel with dogs, I'd recommend elsewhere.

Great little house
This house is awesome. We stay at full capacity for a week and it was really easy the bathroom was not a problem and the backyard was amazing. Only thing missing from the back yard is a hammock. We come to chelan every year and look forward to saying here again in the future.

Horrible rental
Where do I begin... don't rent this house. 1) It's gross and very dirty. The kitchen, the dining floors, the old furniture. It did not get cleaned despite the cleaning fee charged. 2) The noise level is bad. Not only is it on a busy street so you hear the traffic noise. But the worst part was there was a loud woodpecker like banging in the attic space all night long because it's windy. It was horrible for sleep, combine that with poor double size bed, we were miserable at night. We switched rooms after night 1 and the other room was a little better.
3) The staff was helpful and friendly, when we first arrived we noticed no propane for the BBQ and no TP for the bathroom... both a bummer it wasn't taken care of before our arrival, but nice that they responded quickly and took care of it. I only wish I had noticed how dirty the kitchen, dinning, and floors were, before so i could have them see. 4) This was advertised as good for children, but it really wasn't. The separate bunk bed room is not able to be cooled by the AC, because there are no black out curtains it's too light for little ones (and adults honestly) to sleep, and the dirty wood floors were not something I was going to be our 8mo old down on! So yeah... not ideal for kids, especially little.

This is a dirty old rental that was unacceptable even to a family that is generally not that picky. This place crossed the line of what's acceptable for renting. We basically felt like we were sitting in a dirty, noisy thrift store of clutter and hated being there.

Central location; no fuss spot!
Was a good spot for a reasonably priced spot centrally located that you’re not spending a whole lot of time at. Rooms don’t get the AC with the doors closed so it was a bit hot staying with other guests/keeping privacy of the doors open to get enough cold air. Beds were not comfortable but did the job.
We did find mouse poop on the couch under the cushion in the main room so it’s not a spot we’ll come back to but as always happy to get a weekend in Chelan anytime!

Easy Lake Access
Great for access to everything Chelan has to offer. Definitely wouldn’t pack 9 into the house as there is 1 bathroom but plenty of space for 4!!

Had a great time except..
Cons - old house smell (good thing I brought an odor eliminator spray to freshen up the house), dust and cobwebs on windows and backyard chairs,tables,doors. No wall clock? no extra pillow and pillow cases.
Pros - nice to have wifi, a big flat screen tv, massage chair, a/c and plenty of towels though.
Suggestions - please improve home cleanliness and upgrade amenities like soaps (bath and laundry). Overall, had a wonderful time in Chelan.

Great family place!
We travel with our 5 kids so finding a place that accommodates all of us is a challenge. The Chalet was perfect! It was super clean for an older home. The back yard patio was a bonus. We grilled two nights, brought backyard Jenga, and bocce ball. So fun! It's pretty close to town, just down the road from Slidewaters water park, and had plenty of room to park our boat and two cars. The beds were not as comfortable as home but that was expected. The kitchen was beyond fully stocked, not missing a thing and had plenty of dishes for three meals and washing only once if you wanted. My kids were a bit sad that there wasn't a dishwasher but it actually made me happy making them wash the dishes after cooking. We will definitely come back. Now only if the Chalet could've guaranteed the weather....:)

It had everything!
Overall it was real good! There was construction right next to us though which wasnt that bad but if we knew about the construction I probably would've looked for a place elsewhere. Other than that my family had a great time here and my old father really enjoyed the recliner. Only complaint were from the kids about the walls the bunk beds were against were dirty and the top bunk there were spiders. We came to go fishing for a day so this little house was perfect! We barbecued both nights and didn't have to get any utensils for anything, house had it all. And it's pretty close to everything, even the casino which is on the other side only took about 15 minutes to drive to. You are on the main road though into the city but backing out of the driveway onto the main road was never a problem at all. But again everything was so close, Safeway 5 minutes, downtown stores and bars 4 minutes, boat and jet ski rentals 2-3 minutes, waterslide park 2 minutes. Overall I was pretty satisfied with the rental and location of the rental and all that it provided.

WAY WAY OVERPRICED FOR WHAT WE RECEIVED.
After discovering that we had an additional 57% in fees added to the original booking price. I made some inquiries and told too bad you make the booking essentially. Cancellation fees? Oh yes. $450 because your cancelling within 30 days of the booking. This, despite making the booking less than 30 days before the reservation.
So, we arrive. Used tissues on the floor under the recliner. Bathroom not clean, (was that mold?) and no internet. After location high speed internet is THE most important amenity for us because of the business we are in. We called in and it was impossible to get anyone to understand HOW important this was to us. After a few calls we were offered $25/day credit. Still more calls through the weekend to get things sorted. Finally got through to a local Manager, Andrea and she was great. Understood the magnitude of the problem and gave us a credit that reflected how big a problem no internet was to us. She was the one bright line in an otherwise miserable experience.
