With two bedrooms and one bathroom on the main floor, a separate bedroom with on suite bathroom in the loft area, and a queen sofa bed in the living room, this cottage comfortably sleeps eight. The kitchen is equipped with everything needed to prepare meals and dine in comfort while the open concept floor plan makes it easy to visit with friends and family. Come back from the beach and have dinner on the patio, enjoy a family game night or cozy up for a movie on the reclining armchairs, sit by the gas fireplace with a good book, and enjoy the beauty of your West Coast surroundings – Mermaid Cottage will be the perfect vacation spot for the whole family. You are welcome to bring your up to 2 dogs with manager approval only. The cottage community is along popular Resort Drive in Parksville BC and offers a heated indoor pool with hot tub and an overlooking gym area. Also located in the complex is a mini golf course with bumper cars and laser tag, a small bistro/coffee house, a day spa and hair salon. This is a great location within walking distance to Rathtrevor provincial park and its huge sandy beach, restaurants, great spas, old growth forests, nice hiking and bike trails. I was very pleased with the location to amenities, the cleanliness, it was fully stocked with all you need. Also, the Quiet and Peacefulness, Being surrounded by Nature and the Friendliness of Everyone. Our Host, Dahlia was Excellent in response. and accommodating to early arrival and a extra hour for check out. Definitely would come back to stay at Mermaid cottage

We loved the cottage and all of the furnishings. The kitchen was very well equipped with plenty of dishes, glasses etc. The barbecue worked great the outdoor area was good as well! The kids loved the pool. Also the mini golf, bumper cars, and ice cream parlour. Arcade was fun too!

We really enjoyed our stay, very well stocked kitchen. Beds were comfy and clean. Location was great right next to the beach and golf. Couldn't recommend a better stay. We are already looking forward to our return.

This is our 4th year staying at this resort and this cottage was definitely one of the cleanest and well decorated. Loved the fenced backyard as well. All the amenities were great. Just need to remember to bring our own cooking oil in the future.

We found the Mermaid Cottage to be about as close to perfect as it gets. Clean, comfortable rooms. We didn’t do any cooking, but everything we might have needed was available. And loved the location! Perfect spot!

Location is stellar !! Had a lot of fun in pool and mini golfing with kids .. the cabin was cozy and had basic amenities . Beds were comfortable and overall a nice unit .. thanks for letting us stay .

Close proximity to the ocean, hot tub and pool on premises (pool could have been warmer but wasn't a deal breaker for the kids) each room setup with TV and all streaming options. Good wifi and a nespresso! Wonderful place, good price. Would stay again

Mermaid Cottage is a clean, comfortable VRBO near many great amenities. We enjoyed the common area, deck and nearby minigolf. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked and communication with the host was excellent. I would stay there again!

Great location. We were there during a heat wave so we truly would have loved air conditioning, but did appreciate the fans in every bedroom. The pool was nice as the water was on the cooler side so felt very refreshing. The cottage accommodated our family very nicely and we had a wonderful time.

Spacious cottage in the same complex as Riptide Lagoon. Loved the pool and felt safe. Lots of dishes to cook your own meals. Everything was clearly organized and labelled. Dahlia addressed our minor issues quickly. She was appreciative of the issues we found during our stay. A suggestion would be to update the information binder to reflect updated COVID policies. For example, the pool no longer requires you to sign in and there is no free Crave. Guests are required to take their garbage to the dumpsters instead of leaving it outside their units, which was seen with other cottages.

The cottage had everything you need and was in a brilliant location. Close to the pool, beach and mini golf. We will be booking again in the future. Nothing to do with the property, but would love to see an adults only hour at the pool each end of the day. Its open 8am till 10pm so think it would make a great addition :)

We had absolutely everything we needed and it was like stepping into our own home! Clean, comfortable, organized and everything was easy to find! Check in and check out was seamless! Perfect location for our little ones - mini golf, the beach, playgrounds and close to Timmies and Starbucks for mom and dad!

The cabin was very comfortable, clean, well appointed and in a great location. We loved everything about it and would stay again. The only complaint I might have is there is no direct access to the beach. No fault of this resort as the other resorts across the street only allow their guests access.
