Come spend a relaxing week or two barefoot on Double Bay, one of the most beautiful beach in the Bahamas. Right in the middle of a spectacular two mile pink sand beach with great snorkeling, Double Bay Beach House offers privacy and tranquility yet is just 20 minutes from historic Governor's Harbour.
The house is situated about midway down the island, perfect location for day trips north and south.
The estate includes a beautifully appointed 3 bedroom/3 full bath beach front home with living room, dining room, fully equipped kitchen, patio and garden seating areas. Traditional Bahamian tray ceilings, ceiling fans and split air conditioning throughout the main house ensure your comfort on warm days. High speed internet provided, now through Aliv.
Beautifully landscaped with coconut palms and tropical blooms, Double Bay offers a gracious island vacation.

absolutely beautifully appointed home! we loved having a quiet beach to ourselves. communication was pretty quick and the home was comfortable and delightful. lots of great books on site and a fantastic garden as well. we enjoyed walking down the beach (to the right) to the rocks and caves. that area was also a good place to beach comb and snorkel and it provided some shade as well. the home has three full baths but only one shower really worked which proved a bit inconvenient for our family. a maintenance crew was sent out but event after that only one shower worked the entire time we were there. one didn't have any pressure at all and the other wouldn't drain. otherwise we loved our stay. a shaded area outside would be the only other thing we'd change.

We love this home. Location is perfect. Great for 2 families. Very comfortable and have everything you need. We spent more time at double bay. Why leave to explore!! Can’t wait to come back.

The beach is stunning and very private. Great for a long walk. The property the house sits on is very large and has a lot of room to walk around, etc. The house layout is nice and the views are beautiful.
But, the house is very tired. Everything feels old and really worn. The ceiling paint is peeling, the appliances are rusted, the slider doors are a real struggle to open and close and most of the furniture is in tough shape.
There are also two other smaller homes on the property. I didn't realize they would be rented to other people at the same time or I probably wouldn't have picked this spot.
The neighborhood is very quiet and has other nice homes. It is a bit of a drive to get anyplace though. Nothing is very close.
The communication with the property manager was excellent. Very fast and questions answered appropriately.
The house keeper Clarice was very nice. She made us a local meal for dinner one night and it was excellent.
Overall, this property has a lot of potential, but needs a renovation. That said, $400/night is a fair rate for the size of the home and the beautiful beach.
