New house at eleuthera's most sought after location: banks road - golden mile
Tradewinds is a secluded 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom villa, with a private pool and spectacular views of the Atlantic ocean. Located on the Banks Road in the heart of Eleuthera's “Golden Mile”, it is 900 feet (3 mins walk) across Bank's Road, down a deeded path to a beautiful, quiet, pink sand beach. The property also has a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom guesthouse which is available to rent with the main house. (The guesthouse is ONLY available to rent WITH the main house -it is not rented independently. Cost to add the guesthouse, $100 extra per night.) The area from Governors Harbour to North Palmetto point is the most spectacular and sought after stretch on the island, with gorgeous pink sand beaches, amazing reefs and great restaurants and cafes. You can walk from the house to Tippy’s restaurant along the beach.
The house is set in 1 acre of native, tropical vegetation, which creates privacy. The private pool is 24 x 12 feet, with a constant 4 foot depth, ideal for swimming or just relaxing after a day at the beach. 1800 sq feet of spacious decks, both covered and uncovered, allow for sunbathing, enjoying the ocean views, outdoor dining, or relaxing by the pool. The entire property is exclusively rented to you, with no other renters or owners on the property.
Elegantly furnished throughout, the house is inverted, with the great room and kitchen on the upper floor allowing wonderful views and breezes in the main living space. The kitchen is fitted with modern appliances and a large island with bar stools. Downstairs, the master bedroom has a king-size bed, Smart TV and spa-like ensuite bathroom with a claw-foot tub, walk-in waterfall shower and double sinks. The second bedroom also has a king-size bed, and has its own private balcony - perfect for morning coffee. The second bedroom can also be converted from a king-size bed to 2 twin beds.The guest bathroom has a walk in shower. There is private high speed internet throughout the house.
Beach chairs and 2 sets of snorkels are included with the rental. You can snorkel the reefs, swim, or walk for miles along the pink sand beaches that start just a 3 minute walk from the house. There is a 42" flat screen Smart TV (with a Netflix subscription) in the great room.
The house is located centrally on the island in what is considered the prime location in Eleuthera. It is near the best Pink Sand beaches, and there are several restaurants within a 10 minute drive. The area is called the Golden Mile for a reason! You will be swimming in crystal clear waters, snorkelling gorgeous reefs and relaxing on some of the most beautiful and secluded beaches in the world.

I particularly liked this property because the pool was completely separate from the house. We had two toddlers. The beach, which was easy walking distance from the house, ended up being our favorite beach. Jethro was great. From the second floor, which is the kitchen, dining area, living room, we could see the ocean for sun rises and look over the jungle for the sunsets. Us old folks stayed in the pool house which was ideal because it was quiet, other than the bird calls, frogs, and other jungle sounds. Also, we came from Virginia and Texas and everyone thought it was an easy trip to get to Eleuthera. The house had everything we needed. We ate at Tippy’s our first night there because the grocery store closed before we could get to it and we ate at the Fish Fry Friday night. The flies were a nuisance so we took our food home to eat. Otherwise we had meals at the Tradewinds. We bought fish at the boat ramp from Lyndon and we think we were overcharged. We decided to chalk it up to as an interesting experience and decided not to haggle.

Jethro was a very good host. The location was outstanding. It was a four minute walk through the jungle to a beautiful turquoise beach. There are more trees than the pictures show.

Good location. Beach was right across street and beautiful! Jethro was super friendly and gave us lots of tips. Lots of restaurants close by. Reminder that roads here are NOT great to travel on (POT HOLES that would fit bodies). We were not warned of this. Upgrade your rental car- you want an SUV! Bring cash!
