Located in Tahoe City, this attractive house for $375 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. ***PLEASE READ PRIOR TO REQUESTING TO BOOK*** Holiday Weekends/weeks are subject to holiday pricing and minimum stay requirements and Friday and Saturday night stays are required if you're planning to stay over the weekend. Located in very quiet family neighborhood with full time residents. Absolutely no parties or noise after 9pm. Quiet hours are 9pm to 9am, per a strict and heavily enforced County ordinance. Sleeping Availability: 7 People in beds, 2 in Queen, 2 in Queen, 2 in Full, 1 on Single, 1 on air mattress. No more than 8 people. This is a perfect place for families. The lakefront, shopping, golf, Safeway, bars, and restaurants are all walkable from the front door. (about a 5 minute walk). Once you get there, you won't really have to drive anywhere. Here are the details: 3 Bedroom/3 Bath Single Family Home - Roof Deck Hot Tub with a filtered view of Lake Tahoe! - 1 Queen Bed in Master (Memory Foam) - 1 Queen Bed in Guest room - 2 Aerobeds - 1 Bunk bed in Guest Room (twin over full) - Brand New Leather Sectional Couch (Very comfy) - Fully functional kitchen with all you would need for family cooking w/ breakfast bar with seating for 6. (2 breakfast bar and 4 at table) - Weber Spirit 3-Burner Propane Grill (Stored inside for winter) - MASSIVE DECK with nice patio furniture and filtered view of the lake (cushions are left inside when there's no guests to keep clean, dry and pest free) - Washer/Dryer - Pool Table in garage - Foosball Table with electronic scoreboard inside - Dome Hockey Table in garage - Stereo and DVD player with headphone jack hook up for Phone - HD TV's with DVD - Large Driveway with plenty of parking (can fit a boat trailer..etc) - High-Speed internet with new modem and router - 2 Night minimum (Rates subject to season, holidays...etc) Hot tub and deck are closed 9pm - 9am. The deck furniture is stacked under the awning to avoid the sun and elements, and patio cushions are stacked inside in between stays. Guests are responsible for setting up the deck furniture and taking it down at check-out. Just okay
We had been to Lake Tahoe only once before and it was 15 years ago. We stayed near Heavenly during that trip, so we were unfamiliar with the different communities/areas around the lake. I thought being in Tahoe City would be nice/what we wanted, but it wasn't. You are in a neighborhood and the houses are very close to you (like, VERY close), which means no privacy. The street is steep, so when you're on the rooftop deck you're literally staring into one neighbor's backyard watching their kids playing (not ideal) and you're at window-level with the neighbor on the other side (which means they're staring at you). Deck access is via either of the two upstairs bedrooms (not ideal), but worse yet, there is no place to sit outside at ground level. The "front door" is through the garage, so you can't really step outside easily (there is a back door blocked by a high chair and a side door in the mudroom, but they just lead to a tiny gravel backyard with no seating). You have to set up the deck top patio yourself - it will not look like the pictures when you arrive. And then you have to take it all down at the end of your stay. I've rented dozens of homes and never had to do this before. What we were really wanting is to be able to sit outside and eat lunch - but we'd have to carry our food/drinks upstairs, through a bedroom (this is after we set up the patio), and it just didn't seem worth it. Also, while the listing does say this, the rooftop patio is off-limits at 9pm. I missed this in the listing (my fault). Because of this, we never used the hot tub. The home is full of personal photos (I've never had a rental home with personal photos) and personal belongings/clothing in the closets. The bedding is very dated/used and needs refreshed. The mattress on the first floor bed is TERRIBLE. My husband and I couldn't wait to get home. We both agreed it was the worst mattress we've ever had at a rental. None of the bedrooms had dressers, so we couldn't unpack our suitcases. Kitchen was well stocked, had everything we needed to cook a few meals at home.
We wished we had stayed elsewhere. If you want to be in Tahoe City (which does have some perks...close to the grocery store, restaurants/bars, easy walk to the lake), and you don't mind being right next to other homes, this house might work for you. It lacked the outdoor spaces and privacy we were wanting for our vacation.

Tahoe City weekend
We had a lovely weekend in Tahoe City and at Matt’s cabin. The deck was a great place to hang out and the cabin is walking distance to town. The kitchen was stocked with all we needed. We also enjoyed the unique art found all around the cabin! I would definitely stay again and recommend to families or couples.

Great house in great location!
We had a great time at Matt's property in Tahoe City. We were three couples, attending a wedding at West Shore Cafe and this was a great home base. Was stocked with everything we needed, and the hot tub was a great added bonus!
Location is walkable to Tahoe City restaurants, and to the lake! Matt was very communicative and easy to get a hold of. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice Tahoe getaway.

We loved the hot tub, and enjoyed having everything we needed (dishes, pots, pans) for an early Christmas dinner since we wouldn't see my brother's family over Christmas. We needed a rental suv to take us to the lifts... although there is a ski shuttle from the transportation center in Tahoe City, we didn't use it because it was a bit far to walk to (4 wheel drive was needed due to all the snow). Tahoe City is really nice to walk around, even in the middle of winter. Great location!!

A much needed getaway!
In this time of Covid & a global pandemic, a lake getaway is just what my family & I needed. Matthew is a wonderful host. When I had tentatively put it on hold & was still unsure we would be able to go because of another lock down, Matthew called me personally to tell me about the property. I was so glad he did & then I booked immediately. The location is fantastic & the house is so well stocked. Matthew has thought of EVERYTHING! My kids loved the pool table, foos ball & especially the rooftop deck jacuzzi. The weather was perfect (except for a weird hailstorm) & the rooftop was the perfect place to enjoy dinner & drinks. Matthew was also really helpful with some great recommendations on things to do & where to eat. We had a wonderful time & had a sense of normalcy for a bit. Thank you Matthew!

The deck and hot tub were amazing, as were the bedrooms ! The games (foosball and pool table) were a great bonus!
We had to leave early due to the fires and possible impending evacuations and the owner was AMAZING was amazing in the situation, even refunded us the extra night!

Location location location!!!
We loved this house the roof top deck of course. My husband would never go in a hot tub but watching the stars moon and the beautiful night weather he couldn’t say no. Our days started and ended on that deck. We especially liked that you cannot get up there from the outside so we knew our kids were safe. Location we walked everywhere restaurants, river rafting, commons beach and of course ice cream. The owner Matt made everything from booking to leaving easy. Even when we wanted to change our reservation date because of covid. We will be back!

Matt was super easy to communicate with and very helpful. Would definitely stay here again. Great location in Tahoe City (easy access to hiking, biking and the Lake). The deck is awesome for hanging out. Very nice for families with kids.

This property has it all - location, amenities, really good space and feels like home. Matt was extremely attentive and the beginning and end of our stay. We will definitely return for another stay!

Ideal location for skiing and going into town
Our family of four stayed for five days over Christmas. The home was larger than I pictured it. Plenty of room to relax, cook meals and be together.
So nice to have kitchen essentials available and well stocked, including shampoo, lotion etc.
Although we cooked most meals (thank you for the savemore savings card on the fridge!), it’s a short five+ minute downhill walk into town to eat and shop. Great views of Lake Tahoe. It must be beautiful in the summer too.
We skied Squaw and Alpine 15+ minute drive but there is a shuttle on the main road. The hot tub was so nice to come back to after 5 hard days of skiing! The teenagers loved the dvd selections but we all fell asleep on the couch before the movies were over. We could leave our equipment in the garage and do laundry which is a huge plus.
