Located in Port Hueneme, this lovely house for $775 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. This spectacular 4BR, 3BA, over 2,800 square foot family home (sleeps up to 10, additional fees for more than 8 guests) will satisfy any family looking for oceanfront living and a relaxing beach getaway. Silver Strand beach is very quiet and rarely crowded. The house comes fully equipped from kitchen gadgets to beach toys for all ages. Living room and master bed room boasts 70” flat screen TV with access to Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, and YouTube TV for live TV streaming. High speed wireless Tri-band Wifi 6 internet router. Blu Ray/DVD player available. 1 parking spot in garage and 2 parking spots on driveway. Each floor features fire and carbon monoxide alarms. This house features 3 separate patios, one on each floor for your enjoyment. There is a large patio and teak table on second floor to enjoy your meals to the sounds of waves crashing. The house is equipped with beach wagon, beach umbrellas, beach chairs, adult bikes (4), boogie boards (2), 8’ surf board (1), tandem kayak (seats 2), and stand up paddle boards (2), children’s toys, board games, football, soccer ball, volleyball court 50 yards away (need to bring your own net), badminton, and frisbees. There are several highly rated restaurants nearby, groceries (Whole foods, Vons, Ralphs), and Camarillo Premium Outlets. Silver Strand Beach stretches over a mile long and offers great views of the Channel Islands, surfers, sailboats, and dolphins. The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped and offers a 6 burner stove for those who prefer to cook and two ovens. You can opt for outdoor gas grilling on the balcony while enjoying the ocean views. Too far from beach. All chairs sagged and broken down except one in living room that we all fought over. Bed in kids section rolled to the middle and was a real uncomfortable situation. Bunk beds unstable. Stove was always clicking . Fan in master was so dirty with dust devils we couldn't use it. We had crickets in the house . There was no pantry or anyplace to put our food. we had to leave it on the counter. it felt messy. The screen was of the master bedroom door. It had been off for a long time because it was rusting on the patio.. Couldnt open it at night. No airconditioning so that made it hot sleeping. The place is not kept up. There are scrapes and black marks on the walls. We stay in a beach house every year for the last 10 years and this is by far the worst one we have been in. As a result of this stay we will not longer rent a beach house. We have decided to take a cruise from now on. I suggest you go in and repaint, refinish the floors, and put new furniture in you place if you want to give your guests anything close to what they are charged for. By the way you were the most expensive of all our previous stays and by far the worst.

We have been staying a week in Channel Islands for many years now. We have our favorite restaurants and activities so we always look forward to the next stay. We have staying at both Mandalay Beach and Silverstrand and we have enjoyed all the houses we stayed at. This house ranks right up there with the best!

Our family had the best time staying here. We spent relaxing time on the beach, watched beautiful sunsets from the deck, played fun games and just spent quality time together. The house was perfectly stocked with everything you could possibly need and more! We can’t wait to go back!! Excellent hosts too!

This property was perfect for me and my family. It is very spacious, the pictures don’t do that justice. The bedrooms are well separated so plenty of privacy for all of us. We enjoyed the rooftop fire pit the most of all! The only qualms we had were there were no hand towels or toiletries provided in the bathrooms and the windows were very dirty which distracted from the beauty of the beach. Overall a great little getaway.

The location was good, but we couldn’t see the sun at all , we drove 1 hour any direction to see the sun. Also the rug in the living room was very spotty, we couldn’t use the bedroom with the bank beds because there was such a strong odor, so we had to book a hotel room for one family. The house is not cheap, but no shampoo no body wash gel, nothing.

I believe from reading a newspaper article that this is part of a project to move sand from the harbor to the beach and that the project moves up and down the coast, so the pipe may not be there all the time. As it was January and we were not spending alot of time sitting on the beach, it wasn't a problem and the ocean and beach are otherwise beautiful. The house was comfortable for our family and the kitchen was well equipped.

Weather was spectacular all but one day when there were intense Santa Ana winds that blew a window out. The oven decided not to heat up so our Turkey could roast. Fortunately, my son and daughter -in law figured a way to cut the bird apart and cook it on the BBQ.
The kitchen is well supplied with cooking utensils, bowls, baking sheets, cutting boards, and pots and pans, and it is big enough for several people to prepare food.
Even though it was Thanksgiving, Dan responded to my texts and phone calls about the oven and the window. He tried to get repair people out, but couldn’t. And he kept me informed in a timely manner.
Also, check in and out we’re quite easy and the property location could not be better. It is right on Silver Strand Beach and near grocery shopping, restaurants, and the harbor. Plus, a beer and wine tavern is a short walk away.

You cannot beat the convenience of an on-the-sand location in a high-end house! We enjoyed all the included amenities like sand toys, boogie boards, and paddle board and it was VERY convenient not to have to haul all that stuff with us! The bikes need maintenance so we didn't enjoy those. But overall, it is a GREAT place to stay!
However, there were a couple of pain points you might want to be aware of when you plan your visit. The main one is there was a big ugly black pipe across the entire length of the beach that we were never told about. We have been here three times previously during this same time of year and have never encountered it before. Locals told me that every other year from October-March they dredge the bay of sand and set up the pipe to do so. So it is not permanent. I was wondering why they didn't bury it. They set up piles of sand in regular locations so you can walk over it to get to the water. I was a bit ticked we weren't informed of this beforehand.
Another minor yet annoying pain point was the unnecessarily complex light switches. I have never seen a light switch with 7 different buttons. It took me 5 minutes to figure out how to turn on the bathroom light.

This is our second time staying at this property. As soon as we left the last time, we immediately rebooked it we love this house so much Dan is such a wonderful host. He even sent our kids a box of snacks while we were there. He communicates so quickly. The house is so beautiful. It has so many bonuses and amenities.

The house is equipped with everything you need for a wonderful vacation. The kitchen is large and has everything you might need. The garage is filled with beach toys, bikes and whatever else you might need to enjoy your time.
Sitting on the deck you can watch the dolphins with your morning coffee and in the evening watch the sun set right in front of you. Can’t be beat. The owner Dan, is so accessible and great to communicate with. Check-in is effortless. Highly recommend.

Loved being on the beach. The house had everything you need to go to the beach. The kids liked the game room with pool table and dart board. We loved watching the sunset on the balcony. We had a very nice stay.

This property delivered everything it promised and more. Opening the patio doors and stepping onto the sand was just what my family needed to recharge. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of pots and pans and baking dishes which was fantastic as we all live to cook. There were plenty of sand and water toys on hand as well to keep everyone busy. There are 3 floors, with bedrooms on each allowing for privacy for large groups. My grand daughter was able to go to bed undisturbed while the adults continued to mingle on a different floor. Dan was an extremely attentive host responding to any questions or issues that arose in a timely manner. We truly enjoyed every minute of our time and look forward to booking another getaway next year.
