We love the neighborhood (which we know well) and always prefer it to over-stressed tourist spots. This is still real Rome where people actually live and work. San Saba nearby is wonderful, and the more spectacular Aventino and cutesier Testaccio also close. Good transportation both from Airport and busses/metro to rest of city. Excellent, helpful host.

We had to change plans a couple of times during our planned stay, the host was always very helpful and accommodating. Her restaurant recommendations were spot on! The location is very convenient to the Ostiense Train station which makes arrival and departure to the airport very convenient. The neighbourhood is very quiet yet still a reasonable walking distance to many of Romes's attractions - this is the place if that's what your looking for

The apartment was spacious comfortable and easy to settle in to. The area was quiet and peaceful. The kitchen was well equipped for home cooking. There are good places to eat out nearby, notably Trattoria Pennestri. Its well connected too, only ten minutes walk to stations with fast access to Rome central train station and to Fiumicino Airport. Access to the centre was fast, 20 minutes by bus or metro, or 10 minutes (under €10) by taxi. The wifi was exceptionally fast. Our host Ana was warm and welcoming and provided us with very useful information about restaurants and local shops.

After a bit of miscommunication during the booking, all was great. I really liked the apartment and the host was very nice. She had good recommendations and made sure we had good directions to the train so we didn't have to pay for a cab to the airport.
