Our family really enjoyed this property. It is off the path enough to feel like you're in the woods and not too far of a drive from the Twin Cities.

Great house layout, great for families with young children. Property is very private.

We had a nice family getaway. Good location and beautiful scenery. Although it says it's handicap accessible, it was not handicap friendly. Showers had no handlebars and all the toilets were low toilets. If someone is in a wheelchair it won't work. It was not easy for a few of us there. Overall the pictures weren't what we expected when we arrived. Could have used a good cleaning but overall nice space.

The property is great lots of space for our large group. There are plenty of things to keep us busy both in good weather and bad. This was our second year staying here and our family has enjoyed ourselves and will be staying again in the future. Chris is great to work with, he handled our issues quickly even when he was out of town. Thank again and see you next year!!!!

We were overall very happy with the house and property although, like with most VRBOs, a few minor things could stand to be updated/fixed around the house. There was plenty of space to sleep and hang out. The canoes and kayak were great to have. There is a cabinet full of games as well. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, utensils, and other necessities. There are plenty of linens, blankets, and towels. Chris was pretty responsive to text messages, so no issues there either.

Had a great time at the property and on the lake. The owner, Chris, was very responsive before, during, and after our stay. Nice property and location. Would stay again! Only 2 complaints was (1) dead bugs in the house at check-in & spiders in the house throughout our stay. Chris offered to come back and clean but we said it was not necessary. House probably just needs to be sprayed for bugs again and it would clear it up. (2) we couldn’t swim right on the house’s beach due to a ton of weeds but Chris provided a couple of different areas to swim at. Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We love this house. This is the third time we've stayed here with our growing family. There is plenty of room, bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone. We will definitely book this rental again.

We are veterans at renting houses so we have have had a lot of prior rentals to compare this property too. Pros: The house is spacious and set in a peaceful location over the lake plenty of bathrooms the lake is beautiful and we enjoyed taking the pontoon boat out everyday (not included in the basic rental) The owner seemed nice enough and checked in with us via text from time to time it was great to observe all the wildlife from the deck Cons: In general, we felt that the property was overpriced compared to other houses we have rented. Beds were uncomfortable. No separate climate controls for downstairs so it was 10 degrees colder down there at all times--not comfortable! The internet was limited--which should have been advertized--we had a few disappointed young adults who were frustrated by the imposed limit--as a consequence, they had something less than a wonderful time. There was a nasty sulfur smell from the well water and the Brita filter on the kitchen tap was expired. There was construction next door which woke us up early several of the days we stayed there. Very irritating and not conducive to a restful stay at all. The blinds in the two downstairs were in poor repair and we were unable to block light sufficiently to not be awakened at first light. Several of the rooms had overhead lighting only which is less than ideal. A few bedside/ table lamps would have been nice Despite the sizable cleaning fee, the house had dirt and dust in a few places although in general it wasn't too bad in most of the house. The general state of maintenance seemed poor--there were shims over the living room picture window that seemed very DIY/ doors to the patio/deck and the downstairs bedroom were broken and either difficult to close or impossible to lock/ some of the plumbing was improperly installed--again, DIY. One towel per person seemed really chintzy for a rental of this price and the bed covers seemed thin and cheap. The dishwasher did not work. There were no instructions as to where to pontoon key was, how to operate the boat or the lift although we did figure everything out eventually. All in all, though there were reasons to commend the house, we did not feel we got our money's worth and would not recommend at the price we paid.

We enjoyed this spacious home , and so close to the peaceful lake .There are plenty of rooms for everyone and plenty of privacy! Some areas could have been a little cleaner and more updated for the price but overall we would go back !!!

So comfortable!

The owner was super friendly and helpful. Big house, had everything we needed and a beautiful view of the lake. I was able to bring my small dog with which was very helpful. It's a little drive to the greater Mankato area but it's worth it. We had a great stay

The house was wonderful. Well water with slight sulfuric smell, but tasted fine to drink. Everything about the property was wonderful. Separate living areas for large parties. Opens right up to the lake. Would be a wonderful spot for ice fishers. Will likely rent again and would highly recommend.

The house is amazing! Had everything we could want! We will be back!

Great location, plenty of room for our entire family. Could use a little maintenance and update. If not familiar with well water/septic system, heads up on the smell/odor of the water.

This place had it all! Plenty of room and open space for all of us to be together without feeling cramped. The kitchen had all the essentials and plenty of pots and pans. We would definitely recommend place for large gatherings. Hope to do it again next year!

We chose this place to celebrate a family Thanksgiving to include two of our family members who are in wheelchairs. The doors were wide enough, the master bathroom accessible and there was plenty of room in the dining/living area for the two wheelchairs without crowding everyone else. Just an fyi for wheelchair guests - the entrance ramp outside has about a 2-inch jump from the gravel to the ramp so bring your own travel ramp if you have one. And you'll need helpers if your wheelchair can't go over gravel. We parked as close as we could and had plenty of helpers so it worked out. The kitchen was well-equipped to make/serve Thanksgiving dinner. Lots of counter space and outlets if you include the adjacent laundry room. It even has a spare crock-pot. And it has beautiful views!

We had our family of 5, my wife's parents, my brother in law, his wife and his daughter and my sister in law with her son and the house accommodated everyone. Each bedroom on the lower had its own full bathroom with 2 queen beds and the main level had 3 bedrooms. There was a living room on each level and the kids were all able to set up a game/puzzle area on the lower level and the adults had the main level. It really worked out great for all of us. They had plently of linens, kitchens utensils and everything we needed. We caught a decent amount of fish from the lake as well.

My entire family stayed for the weekend(12 of us) there was plenty of room and all the amenities we needed. Even though the weather wasn't always cooperative we still managed to do some kayaking, fishing, and even had a treasure hunt for the grandkids. We will be back!!! Chris was an excellent host!! Thanks again!!

We loved our stay at the "Lake House" - Plenty of room for everyone to roam and relax. Big dinning room table allowed us all to gather for our meals, play cards, and just enjoy each others company. Sunrises and Sunsets were gorgeous. Will be back when we are in the area.

We were thrilled with the house and location. So private! It didn't lack for anything. We had a beautiful ride around the lake on the pontoon. We're booking it again for next year.

Our stay was amazing. The home had all we were looking for including peace and quiet, The property is separated by up to 14 acres of land and your nearest neighbor. Lots of parking and great back yard and a wonderful lake. Fishing was good and we enjoyed the casual atmosphere we had at this location.

Great space and layout for our family, lots of little kids. Nice big yard and kids can catch fish off the dock. Well stocked kitchen and nice to have a high chair there. Always had prompt and helpful replies to questions.

We were very happy with the property. Would recommend for family gatherings. Great communication with Chris!

Door knobs fell off in a couple rooms, no bedrooms had doors that lock. Carpet was worn and stained. All beds squeaked with barely any movement (odd box spring selection?). As shared in listing, one bath towel per person isn’t enough. Kitchen needed more items such as dry measuring cups, small frying pan. Gas grill was rusted out yet functional. Dock was convenient but transition from land to dock was muddy and something like plywood. Lake around dock was full of seaweed, algae and certainly not swimmable. All the exterior doors don’t lock. Good laundry set up. Plenty of interior dining space. Deck had decent chairs but cheap folding “banquet” table. Water pressure was intermittent and water smelled. Property had its perks but needs some love.

We loved the accommodations of the house and yard! House was very spacious with 5 bathrooms being a plus! Set up very well for large groups with kitchen being well stocked! Yard was great for volleyball and bean bag games. The only downfall would be the weeds in the lake with no beach. We did, however, find swimming at a public beach nearby. Chris was available for any questions and made sure we had everything we needed for a great family vacation!

The place was nice and spacious, both inside and outside and also isolated enough that you don't have to worry about neighbors. the amount of bathrooms were also very handy. The fishing is pretty good too, we were able to get some good catches right off the dock. The manager was able quick to respond.

Very enjoyable stay. Beautiful view and yard. Home great for large family get together. Only item we needed and was not available was a few cookie sheets. Screen on main patio door needs fixing. (Won't close)
