The apartment is equipped with a queen size bed, a sleeper sofa, gas fireplace (cold months only), basic cable TV, a DVD player, WIFI, new kitchen, rustic living room and new bathroom. There is a shaded brick courtyard in the back to relax outside. The apartment also has original artwork hanging on the walls painted by the owner. Painting reproductions are for sale downtown at the Bear Appetite Cafe and the owners original tee shirts designs for sale at the Mauch Chunk 5 &10 located on Broadway and Horizon Gifts located where Race street and Broadway meet. My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Weekender. So nice to park our car in front of the rental and walk about 15 min. over to the Olde Time Christmas in Jim Thorpe. Some of the best things about this rental are the location, comfortable bed, gas fireplace and cozy welcoming feel. I also loved all the hooks. (you can never have too many hooks) Steve sent us great instruction/suggestions to make our stay even better and sent a message after our check in to make sure everything was okay. On his suggestions, we took the trolley ride and really enjoyed it. We took a quick ride over to Leighton to have dinner at Bonnie & Clyde Pub. Great service and food. We would stay here again if we were to visit the area again.

Our stay at The Weekender was awesome! The apartment was exactly as described. It was clean and beautifully decorated. I enjoyed the paintings that were completed by our host. We had a 15 minute walk to beautiful Jim Thorpe. Check in with keyless entry was so easy. We would definitely rent from Steve again! Thanks for a lovely memory. PR

Great place in more quaint side of town with easy access to any activities in the area. Stephen was a great host , very friendly and helpful in recommendations to all that the region has to offer. Will definitely re book in the furture and most definitely recommend to friend's and other acquaintance's .

We had a wonderful time at Stephen’s place. He made sure we had parking during the busy weekend, let us know we could get in early if we wanted to and even gave us some tee shirts with his artwork on them. Thanks for a great fall getaway!

This was a great place to stay when visiting Jim Thorpe. We stayed the second weekend in October and it was very busy for fall fliage season. Its just outside of the downtown, which is a better place to be when its busy, but you can walk. We brought bikes but i would not recommend trying to bike into town.the apartment was exactly as in the listing. Very cozy. We would stay again.

Very quaint well-equipped property. Steve even saved us a parking spot in front of the property due to a lot of tourists being there the day we came. Beautifully decorated!

This was one our best rental finds. What a gem. Perfect location. It is about 1/2 mile from the train station and everything else Jim Thorpe has to offer. The property is set in a very quiet location. Everything as far as kitchen utensils, bathroom supplies and linens are provided. Steve,the owner,was very kind and helpful on our arrival. We will be back asap!!!

Excellent location to visit JimThorpe, just a ten minute walk into downtown so no need to find/pay for parking and a quite residential street for a good night sleep. With a great bed, super bathroom (high pressure shower ) and great full size kitchen ,its the perfect place to relax. Our main topic was the Leigh trail bike train but also found sone good golfing 20 min away, Host was excellent and had some original artwork hanging in the rooms.

Spent a few nights with my two boys to explore Jim Thorpe. This place was so perfect. It was close to everything. The house was cozy and comfortable. We had everything we needed and parking was super easy right in front of the rental. The host was fantastic at communicating with us. Thank you. Don’t hesitate to book.

Our family spent the weekend biking, hiking, shopping, and eating in Jim Thorpe. This apartment was in a perfect location for walking into town, which was great so we could avoid the traffic and parking hassles! The apartment is small but it was fine for the 4 of us since we were mostly out doing activities. The beds were comfortable. There was an occasional strange smell from the bathroom, like sulfur, but it didn't last too long. The owner was very quick to respond to any questions. I would definitely stay there again!

This is a place that has the basics. It met our needs. We wanted to go to Jim Thorpe but we didn't want to pay the high prices to stay in the historical part. This is located just across the river and takes about 2 minutes to get to the historical area of Jim Thorpe.

This is an awesome place and my second time staying here. It's close enough to walk into town if you don't want to try and find parking in town. Great little pub and breakfast place just a few blocks up from from the house too. Recommended highly and will come back again!

Steve provided a comfortable, well-equipped apartment for our stay in Jim Thorpe. Parking was easily found, right at the door. He provides lots of info about the local area, especially the booklet on Jim Thorpe’s history and architecture, that helped us decide how to explore. We had everything we needed and enjoyed the decor. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We had a wonderful time staying here on our weekend getaway from Philly! The apartment was clean and cozy, and an easy walk to get into town. We loved exploring Jim Thorpe and hiking near by in the state park. Definitely would recommend staying here and would come back again!

I believe this is our fourth stay! It is so close to everything. This time we went for a train ride and a concert at the Opera House. Little shopping too! House is clean and Steve makes sure it is ready for guests!

What a charming little place! The pictures do not do the apartment justice! It is super quaint, warm and welcoming! EVERYTHING was clean, pristine and thought of! The towels and linens were fresh. Would recommend to anyone! Thanks for letting us stay!
