Carter cabin was perfect for our family vacation and our dog enjoyed the fenced yard. Beds were very comfortable. We’ll definitely return to this cabin!

The four of us absolutely loved this fantastic vacation rental!
The house is conveniently located within 7 minutes driving to Gold Beach. It's situated in such a way that seems very private within the surrounding trees.
Our host communicated wonderfully throughout the process of booking and checking in and out, and was quick to respond to my many questions.
The house itself is beautiful with it's natural wood throughout, tasteful decor, and cleanliness.
The beds and linens were super comfy!
Cooking in this house was a delight with plentiful kitchen utensils and dinnerware.
Relaxing on the deck every evening after a day of adventuring was heavenly! Deer and their fawns came by every day and were not bothered by our presence as they would just lay on the lawn and relax.
It's nice to have two bathrooms with four adults, and also to have the bedrooms upstairs so people can watch tv downstairs without disturbing those sleeping.
We would stay here again in a hot flash should we return for another visit to Gold Beach!

The house is one of the better designed vacations homes we have stayed in. It's a craftsman house full of artistic design flourishes but it also offers great living spaces that are fun. It's the perfect size for a family. The yard is fully fenced and so is great for dogs, too. It's just up the hill from HWY 101 and some of the most dramatic beaches you can find. Although very close to the ocean, the house is sheltered beneath tall trees that buffer the yard from the wind. The treetops are in constant motion from the sea breeze, but the yard below is calm and comfortable. We will for sure stay there again.

Cabin was cute and cozy with perfect amount of room for our family of 3 and 2 dogs. The fenced in yard was great so you could sit outside in the front yard or patio and let the dogs run without worrying they would get out. Nice quiet neighbor hood. Only issue was the stairs to get up to the bedrooms on the 2nd story. They are a spiral staircase made from wood that is beautiful but narrow and can be scary and hard to walk up and down if not sure footed. Lots of cobwebs and floors could have been cleaner in the corners. With the cobwebs it did feel like a cabin in the wood. Beds were very comfortable and kitchen is well stocked.

The Carter House worked well for our family. We enjoyed the uniqueness of the property. The host was available by phone to meet any needs. Internet was too slow for scheduled zoom or pretty much anything via internet. It was a nice digital detox.

We enjoyed the peace and quiet of Carter House. It was so nice that both the front and back had fencing so our dog had space to explore. My husband noticed and appreciated the custom woodwork and walls of the house. I loved the ability to enjoy a coffee in the morning with a fire. Great location and great stay.

The area is fairly remote, but secure with our fishing gear, which is what we were looking for. Parking the boat in the driveway can be challenging if you are not experienced. But we didn't have any trouble. Back deck is large and enjoyable. Stairs can be tough with bags if you are not used to them. Everything was clean and in order. Thank you Leslie.

We really liked the location and privacy of the property. Not far off the 101 but tucked in the hills. So quiet. Deer in the yard nearly every day. House was clean and comfortable and well stocked. The deck is a great place to unwind at the end of the day.

I absolutely loved our stay at this place. It was incredibly cozy, secluded just enough, and the host was fantastic. They even went out of their way to help us set up a slow cooker because we forgot ours.
This trip was my plan to propose to my now fiancé, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I would absolutely stay here again. Thank you so much!

Great, Dog-Friendly Rental Out of the Wind and Close to Gold Beach
This was a very groovy cabin with lots of unique furniture and detailed woodwork. We (three adults and three dogs) had a great time reading in the sun on the large porch (sheltered from the wind by mature trees, cooking in the well-equipped kitchen, enjoying a cozy fire from the extra-large couch at night, and sleeping in the comfy beds, The property was quiet, just up the hill from the ocean and convenient to town and local attractions. The owner was helpful and accommodating, she replied to communication quickly. Overall, a great stay I'd recommend!

we really liked the interior and how quiet the house was inside. Some places you can hear every noise on the outside of house. this house was quiet.
The only thing I can suggest is bring your own shampoo and co ditikner. It is not provided, but everything else is :)

Absolutely loved the house! Very comfortable, everything we needed, close to a great beach, fenced yard front and back, great deck. Before our arrival, the owner responded to a couple questions very quickly and was very helpful and polite. I will come back here next time I am staying in Gold Beach.
