About this cabin rental

Located in Iowa, this lovely cabin for $149 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Located in the Driftless Region of Southwest Wisconsin this hand built Amish cabin sits on a ridge surrounded by 40 private acres of woods and meadow for hiking and exploring. Quiet rural setting for privacy but close enough to Viroqua, Gays Mills or Readstown for shopping groceries etc. In the main room a woodburning stove keeps things cozy. The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, oven, refrigerator, toaster, coffee grinder and all dishes and utensils. The bedroom and loft both have queen size beds, plus an aerobed, pack and play, and convertible sofa bed. High speed internet, television and a stereo/radio are available. There is a Weber kettle for grilling and a firepit in the yard for starry night campfires. We welcome guests of all faiths and creeds regardless of race, gender or sexual orientation. Perfect for a retreat, or a base for exploring the regions parks and trout streams. We are dog friendly! There is a $20 pet fee per dog, per night. Dogs only. No hunting is allowed on the property.

Our group of four thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. We made the most of the weather and did some serious sledding on the hills. Also took advantage of the warmth and sat around the wood burning stove. Paul was very helpful and great communicator. The only struggle we had was never being able to reach the location with our minivan. With the snow and steep hill, we were not able to get the car up the hill. But, took advantage of using our sleds to bring in and out all of our food and luggage : ) Would stay here again.

Very peaceful place, done a lot of hiking on property. Oliver our dog really enjoyed freedom of running around. I wish snow falls on saturday instead sunday to enjoy that too. Planning to go back again

A perfectly peaceful and private setting in a breathtakingly beautiful part of Wisconsin. Easy access to any number of activities and adventures. The accommodation is cozy and well organized with friendly and helpful hosts who made themselves easily reachable through technology. My dog Scarlett and I stayed 4 days and were completely rejuvenated and enchanted. Such a special place.

Had a perfect weekend at this cozy cabin in the woods. The fall colors were amazing so we spent lots of time outside biking and hiking. We also explored the woods and meadow around the cabin. This was our dream cabin. Kitchen had everything, bed was comfy, stars were amazing! Thank you!

We stayed at this lovely cabin to celebrate my birthday. It is a cozy cabin that we enjoyed staying at while exploring the area. In this cabin, you will feel like you are right in the middle of the forest, as it is surrounded by tall trees in close proximity. It's a great place to escape from everyday life as it is secluded and very quiet. It is on a hill, so for walks you'll be walking up or down. We enjoyed our cabin and our dog loved the open space in the living room.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin with its wonderful front porch where we spent most of our time, watching the kids play. The cabin was very clean and well-equipped with everything we needed. My only suggestion is getting rid of the TV as the kids kept asking to watch it.

A very nice cabin on a beautiful piece of land surrounded by Amish farms. The only sounds were the sounds of nature and the occasional horse-drawn buggy. Check-in and check-out could not have been easier. Everything was very clean. Would definitely recommend and plan on coming back ourselves.

Stayed at cabin with 3 kids and 1 dog. Wonderful secluded location and a cozy cabin. Kids went sledding, exploring, played games, and had a lot of fun. They did not want to leave. Hosts quickly answered questions and were very friendly. All in all a great stay! Highly recommended!

Because it is so cozy and well-equipped with both indoor and outdoor activities you may never want to leave the premises during your stay, but if you do, you will find many recreational options and charming small towns to enjoy throughout your stay. My gf and I enjoyed our first cabin stay. The place was exquisite and tidy. The quietness of the surrounding area was soothing and the fire pit and fire stove were a complete joy. We felt like we escaped our busy city lives and that was our goal. The surrounding towns were also nice and friendly. Great food and bar selections just a few minutes of a drive. Hiking on the grounds was an experience on its own and the hammock and Bluetooth speakers were a fun bonus. Highly recommended

Our family had a great weekend at the cabin. The cabin was exactly what we had expected and was perfect for myself, my husband, our 5 year old daughter, and our dog. Perfect sledding hill right outside the front door and plenty of trails to hike.

Cozy, very quiet. Very secluded/private. Could see only one light in the distance at night. The only sound was the wind. Cabin has all the things you need. Great getaway. Very interesting towns in the area with excellent restaurants. Want to return to canoe on the Kickapoo River.

This is a lovely cabin. It was clean & well kept. The owners had it well supplied from kitchen to bath. Communication with owners was great. If anyone is looking for a a relaxing, quiet get away I would highly recommend this gem of a cabin.

What a wonderful vacation property. The cabin is clean, tastefully furnished, and well equipped with the basics. The land is beautiful and there are ample opportunities for exploring fields, woods, trails, and country roads. The cabin is a good distance from the road, so there is not much sound but the birds and the wind in the trees. A perfect spot for getting away from everyday life, in an interesting and not too touristy part of Wisconsin.

My husband and I very much enjoyed our woodsy getaway! We received clear instructions on how to find the cabin and get access into it. Everything was set up well and we had a fire crackling in the woodstove every evening with the radio playing in the background. We explored the trails on the property and encountered some wildlife. We never even turned on the TV. All in all, a great experience!
