We enjoyed our week at 320 Samoset. The home was immaculately clean upon arrival, the kitchen well-appointed, and the location a perfect “home base” for all our Cape favorites, plus a few new ones along the bike trail!

We stayed here for the first time in 2021 and loved it so much we booked again before the end of our stay. We stayed again this year and it was just as perfect! Thanks for sharing your perfect escape!

We had a pleasant stay. We liked the surrounding area especially the beaches and the restaurants. The cottage was well maintained and the view of the lake from the deck was gorgeous. We enjoyed the calming sunsets as well. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and we would definitely visit again.

The cottage was quite, very comfortable, well equipped and exceptionally clean upon arrival. Wonderful place to spend a vacation on Cape Cod.

This house was everything we hoped it would be and more! Not only is the house adorable, but it is in close proximity to everything we love about the Cape, including the bike trail, fresh water ponds, bay beaches AND ocean beaches. We booked our next visit before we even left!

This house was perfect for a family of 4 that loves the Cape Cod pond life! The home was very clean upon our arrival, updated and with a charming decor (true to photos). Check-in was as easy as it gets, directions were so clear and had no issues so we didn’t have a single question the entire week! Loved the deck overlooking the pond and the convenient location - steps to the Rail Trail, easy access to bike/kayak rental, fishing, markets and restaurants, and both bay and seashore beaches. It was a piece of paradise for us and we can’t wait to return!

First the good, the location and the house itself were very good. Not big but was fine for our needs. The kitchen was very, very well stocked and it has a lovely deck for out door dining, watching the stars etc.Now the not so good, when we got to the house we noticed there was sand on the floor of the bathroom and we realized that our feet had gotten dirty from just walking around barefoot in the house for a short time. We sent a message to the owner regarding the condition of the house. It wasn't horrible but it was just annoying that they had charged a pretty high cleaning fee, for a house that was only 750 square feet, and there were no sheets, towels etc. (because of Covid worries. understandable) but they didn't clean the house properly. It seemed they hadn't mopped at all. And later we moved a chair in the living room and there was sand under there as well, it seemed that they didn't move anything to clean under it. The bathroom was particularly bad as described above, and the window sill in the bathroom was very dirty and there where dead insects on the window sill.The owner did respond rather quickly but when he did he didn't even say, "sorry for that" or something to that effect but he did offer to send the cleaning service over to rectify the situation. The cleaning service called as well. But as we had already swept up some and we didn't want to wait for them or have someone in there while we were away we declined the offer of having the cleaning service come over.Also the grill ran our of gas while we were there and we called the owner to discuss this situation. He did answer promptly but asked us to go and get the canister filled and again didn't even say "sorry that you are having problems could you please get the canister filled", he just asked us to do it. Not the end of the world but when you are paying for a place you expect that certain things will be taken care of. So we had a little back and forth about the gas and the condition of the house and he offered to pay for the cost and of the gas and to refund "some" of the cleaning fee that we had paid. Also after our stay we wrote to him to remind him that he had offered to refund part of our cleaning fee but we still haven't received a response.

Negatives: The house was filthy with dirty baseboards and looks like it hasn’t been used in months or maintained. It was broom swept but dirty. When we got there it was blazing hot and took hours to cool down. The second bedroom had no A/C at all so was uncomfortable to sleep. There were dirty fans all over house which took up space. Worst for us was first night there was a roach crawling on kitchen wall which was a big turn off. A few days in we saw roaches in kitchen drawers. It was too late for us to make any change. The porch was a mess, no umbrella on table and dirty grill. Positives: the deck is really nice and is the place we spent most of our time. The proximity to first encounter beach and bike path was also a big plus. We enjoyed our stay when we were outside of the house.

The house was great. Depot Pond is *beautiful* and really really great for swimming. Being right next to the bike path was awesome. And First Encounter beach is great. The house was just as advertised and fit our family of 4 really well.

We loved our vacation in Eastham. The house was perfect for us. Clean and comfortable. The large deck, beautiful view of pond and the bike trail right there means we had to do very little driving. The bedroom a/c unit was a bonus since it was quite warm and humid that week. We hope to stay again next year.

My husband and I enjoyed this cottage for a beautiful week in September. The cottage is comfortable and was a good size for the two of us. We enjoyed the kitchen and bath renovations and especially liked the back deck overlooking the pond. The location was good, near Great Pond, the rail trail, and Encounter Beach.

Perfect for a family of 4. Location can't be beat, on a lake and the bike path. Close to lake, bay and ocean beaches. Grocery store just down the road. We had a great time and would rent here again.

We had a wonderful Vacation. The Cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The deck overlooking the pond was beautiful and most of the rooms had views of the pond. It was convenient to the beaches , restaurants and other attractions. We liked it so much that we would like to rent it next year.

The cottage was just what we wanted. The pond was beautiful and delightful even when it was raining. I sat out on the deck one evening and got drenched and loved every minute of it. It was a Cape Cod vacation!

Great location for people that enjoy biking, running, etc! The house is right next to the bike trail. There is a beach at the end of the road (more biking than walking distance). The cottage has a new kitchen and bathroom and a good amount of living space for a small place. There is also a great deck overlooking a pond.

We had a wonderful stay at this Eastham cottage. It was fun being right on the bike trail and convenient to have easy access to the beautiful Eastham beaches. We especially enjoyed sitting on the deck overlooking Long Pond each morning as we planned out our day. We would definitely stay here again.

The big deck overlooking the pond is the main attraction- beautiful views for morning coffee and after beach cocktails on the deck. Nicely remodeled kitchen and bathroom made the stay very comfortable. Thanks for a great week!

We enjoyed three great weeks at this little cottage on Cape Cod in Eastham. Being very familiar with this area of the Cape it was like going home! There are many quality restaurants in the area. The bike trail is adjacent to the property and the back deck over looks the pond. The owners were very responsive to the few issues we had. There is fresh water swimming in the pond or you have First Encounter Beach on the bay and several beaches on the Atlantic. The cottage is small but comfortable for two or four. Would definitely recommend .

Everything was fine when we arrived at the property. The house is well equipped, with everything you need. The only inconvenience for us was the old condition of the bathroom and the kitchen, even if you can tell from the photos that the house is not brand new. There is no photo of the bathroom on VRBO, by the way. Too many spiders inside and too many mosquitoes outside, but I guess that's the price to pay when you're close to a pond.

My husband and I stayed at the Hurd's cottage for a week in August. It met all our expectations. The best feature of the property is the deck. It is lovely to sit outside for morning coffee and evening BarBQs. We loved looking onto the beautiful pond. You can access the fresh water pond very close by. The water was clean and clear. The trees around the deck offer shade during the day. The cottage is simple but adequate. There is a bit of a mildew smell upon entering but it airs out with the doors open. Loved the Band concerts by the Windmill. We spent alot of time at Marconi Beach but we could ride the bikes to Coast Guard. Thank you!

Love this house and it's convenient, location beautiful view from the deck and all the amenities you need. Close to ponds, right next to bike path and two minutes from bay beach by car. Five minutes to ocean shuttle. Owners very accommodating.
